Wow, that place is massive! Even the buildings and scenery around there are beyond interesting. Those windows computers are such a good deal, I'm tempted to buy one just for fun but those chairs look like the best thing!
Truly spectacular views of anythings in used conditions, still look amazing, more so with that low prices, what cN goes wrong... the dragon wooden chairs looks great...the guys who shift that big fridge must be expert by now.. thanks Serg for showing us the place...🎉😂
my family used to take me antiquing and to flea markets back in the day in the middle of nowhere up around the Carolina mountains. good times shifting through sh-tuff. I'll have to come check that out in January when I'm in Bangkok, a few things caught my eye, I hope there still there. thanks again for another great video!
Oh yes! That projector "box" on the rear used a carbon arc and a concave mirror to create a bright enough light source. There's a heat/fumes vent on top and large hinged doors on both sides to put in new carbon rods as they burnt out (and clean out the ashes). You could monitor what was left of the rod through the small window on the side. The front part look similar to the one I used to operate as my younger self. It was also electric but needed to be hand-cranked on startup. Good times! 😄
Yeah, I remember specifically that they had a huge heat source. I’ve seen these before, and they are just beautiful pieces. If I had a giant home, and money to burn, I would put one somewhere in my house.
@@LifewithSerg Yes, beautiful things. I inherited my ol' arc burner from where I worked. The design looks like something out of the Rocketeer movie. Have no space for it now but when I did, I used it as a bar cabinet.
Love flea markets and second hand shops. I also had the same pager when I was in L.E.. The refrigerator guys must have needed the exercise😂. I will absolutely visit that market someday.
I love walking around 2nd hand markets or trash and treasure markets as we call them in Australia. I always find something that's really cool. Cheers Serg.
Really cool video Serg! Second hand markets are definitely fun to walk around! The vintage toys looked really neat, reminds me of stuff from my childhood.
Glad you enjoyed this video. I really had a good time there, but I need to go back so I can actually enjoy myself without having to think about making a video. Lol.
Awesome video Serg! Really appreciate you showing us parts of Bangkok that we normally do not get to see. Great content! Great to see you so passionate about vintage electronics and toys! Can’t wait for more of your content! Much love from AZ brother!

Hi Serg, as you neared the top floor I was worried for you because your complexion changed and got flushed. Heatstroke is no joke and can permanent damage the body and it can happen in 31-34 celcius 100%humidity according to PBS. Try to buy one of those Neck Fans but choose a heavier one with 2 18650 batteries inside. And choose one with brushless motors. This fleamarket might be the best one yet. Love the fan jokes 😊 Take care...
I did not change color, lol. It’s just the way the iPhone camera just balances when there is less/more light. I’m well aware of what heat exhaustion feels like, don’t you worry. 😊 as for the neck fans…. No comment. 😂 if you get a chance, go check out this market. It’s great.
Thanks for showing us the places to buy weird old stuff, classic car restorer here by trade so my flee market scanning ability is high. I buy all kinds of weird stuff at these markets (chatuchaks 2nd hand market) and my Thai friends wonder why. When you bring some uniquely Thai things back home it becomes very interesting. Old junk is often better made and definitely more interesting than most of the mass produced crap new markets sell. That old movie projector was possibly a repair cut away to train people on how it works and repair, or a museum display, they cut sections off to show what is inside and paint the areas that you usually wouldn’t see.
Ha ha ha. That thing sucks! Go to Alameda, er y first Sunday. Best vintage market in SF Bay Area. Also hit up Branham High flea market and Capitol flea market.

Wow Awesome Serg, always something cool you share love it, what History, was like going through a time machine.. was fun to see the practical 2nd hand and the toys, its awesome how they recycle these things, making things affordable , also a good place to shop or a treasure hunt, the old games were so much fun on Nintendo or sega specially playing WWF on the old consoles with friends . Can you do a review on politics there, there a unique leader in Thailand emerging currently, as an outsider, its kind a cool to see that breaking the authoritarian norms for the new gen and working to bridge gaps as i see it, would be great to get your views on it with that positive vibe.. inspire on..
I really love these kind of markets. Will do some more videos about them down the road. As for politics, that is one subject, I will absolutely not touch in this country. There are huge ramifications for saying the wrong things, and I don’t want to piss off half of my audience. I generally do not talk about politics in any of my videos. 😊
Man, I could spend all week in there checking out the vintage toys and electronics! I was surprised to see the NES, I thought they only had the Famicom over there. Have you ever run across Motu, Transformers, or anything like that in Thailand?
This is the first NES system I’ve seen, especially the condition of the box, here in Thailand. I haven’t seen much MOTU or Transformers. There is a seven story mall called mega plaza that sells nothing but toys. About 12 of the dealers, their self vintage.
I went to bangkok a few months ago and I had one of the best burgers I ever had at prime Burger. So that was a really good advice! I'm looking for a good place to eat beef, be it shabu shabu or buffet dinner, a nice steak restaurant would be cool too.... Any tips?! I'm in bangkok again next month.
Prime burger is definitely one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, anywhere. If you don’t mind spending money, and I’m talking about ฿1800, try El Toro Brazilian steakhouse fo their all you can eat meat feast.
Thanks Serg for showing us another place off the beaten track. If I was living there I'd definitely check out the furniture. Thailand has great wooden furniture. Cassette tape! Who could play them and why would they bother. No 8 track stereo carts on sale? lol I imagine you know this industry pretty well Serg having worked in it in the States. No doubt you'll pick some bargains you can flog off during your next trip back to America.
Vinyl records have made a huge comeback, and believe it or not, but cassettes are making a comeback as well. There’s something about the analog sound that just cannot be re-created digitally. Especially when you compare vinyl records to digital music. I actually picked up some stuff and took it back to the US on my last trip. I really love these markets.
Nice man, love, thank you, I have been wondering about this for awhile now. It's dangerous hobby though, I buy but then I can't let it go and I see a LOT of good stuff there. Guys are going there for the ladies which is understandable but I want TREASURE!! and maybe an adventure or 2.
Welcome aboard! Next week starts an epic adventure, at least for me. I hope you will join me as I definitely will be getting lost as I start exploring more of Thailand.
There is a temple, and even a waterfall there. I didn’t get a chance to explore that. When I make these videos, I don’t always have time to actually do some shopping. I’m going back there very soon to spend more time looking around and maybe buying a few things.
Hello Serg. George Here. When you go to a flea market in Bangkok, what currency do you use when you are buying something? Do you use US or Bot money? Thanks
I appreciate your interest in the places I recommend. 🙏🙏 If you like toys, figures, robot models or car models. And the game consoles are old and new. I recommend a department store called Mega Plaza. Not far from Chinatown. In the past, the night market area was called Klong Ong Ang market. It used to be a huge market for toys, game consoles and cameras name Sapan Lek market. And the government has reclaimed the land there and renovated it. At present, there is Khlong Ong Ang Market. And the toy store, the game console that got kicked out, moved the shop to a mall called Mega Plaza. And some shops moved to Saphan Lek Plaza near Khlong Ong Ang Market.😁😁🙏🙏
I have actually been to that mall several times. I didn’t make a complete video about it, but I put it in one of my videos. I will have to go back and make a full video about that place.
Wat Suan Kaeo is literally *the* go-to place for getting rid of appliances or furnitures that are still usable. You just call them up and they'll come to your home to pick up the stuff you want to "donate".
I’ve seen Tamiya and Tomica, as well as game and watch. BUT very few and usually in rough condition. Go to Mega Plaza for those times. There’s a couple of shops there that sell vintage toys and video games, but only a couple. The rest of them so new, but it’s still a place worth checking out.
I literally showed that in the opening minute of the video. Please take a look in the description of the video, I have Google Maps links to everything.
At the current exchange rate, they’re asking $405. I think that’s way too much. If you’re looking for Japanese import PlayStation games, I might have a source for you. Reach out to me via Instagram or email. Both are in the description of this video and/or my channel main page
I use to like shopping in thailand at flea markets but now i find the quality of items less than what i find in australia. Mainly just go for the experience and to have a bite
I think that’s just the nature of secondhand markets. Most of the items are junk, it involves quite a bit of digging. The secondhand markets in the US were much more interesting to me as well.
Hey Serg, how`s it going? How do you ship this stuff? I would love to go to these flea markets, byt thousand of clothes and bring them back to Australia, do anyone know if it`s possible and expensive?
Hello! You’ll have to get on the Internet and do some research. You can find out very easily how much it will cost you to ship things back to Australia. I have not exported anything, so I can’t help you there.
Yes, that's right, you're right about the color of the clothes you wear. and because it's hotter than the past few years Due to global warming (El Niño) and will continue to be hot like this until next year. Please maintain your health by carrying drinking water with you wherever you go. to prevent sunstroke Another tip is to wear light or light colors, not dark ones like black or navy blue, for example, as these dark colors absorb sunlight. and absorb heat It's several times hotter than before.
This is common practice among Buddhist temples and organisations throughout SE Asia and Asia, predominantly Chinese skewed temples. Its a legitimate business with proceeds going back to the charity.
It reminds me of Goodwill industries in America. They have hundreds of stores throughout the country. All the money they make from selling donated items goes into programs to help people with disabilities.
Many years ago, there were few people who bought bed frame from Suan Kaew Temple and then later found out that previous owner hide many million bath and gold in bed frame. I guess when previous owner passed away their descendants might donate it to temple without clue there were valuables hidden in it. We, Buddhists, believe donation will make positive karma for pass away owner.
The weather is hotter than the past few years. Because of global warming (El Niño) and will continue to be hot like this until next year Please maintain your health by carrying drinking water with you wherever you go. to prevent heatstroke And another tip is to wear bright or light colors, not dark colors like black. Or dark blue (navy blue), etc., because these dark colors will absorb sunlight. and absorb heat The more it heats up several times than before.
I am well aware that dark colors absorb sunlight. The reason you see many UA-camrs wear dark colors, is because it doesn’t show the sweat as much as light colors.
@@LifewithSerg it sat on some anti shock base that didn’t work unless you were standing still ,don’t remember how many cd’sit held but it was a lot . Back when they had that 100 disc for a penny promotion don’t know how they made money on that one
You can definitely do that. There is lots of bargains to be found here. Hell, even my Honda motorbike cost 40% less than in the US because it was actually made here in Thailand.
serg, you said you didn't care for those small sling bags as you didn't see the use. hey. you could be carrying a thermos with ice cold water with you all day without stuffing it in your cargo shorts. haha on my mission to make you more thai/ asian everyday! haha #makingsergmoreasianeveryday.

Yes, I noticed some of the trucks there. There was even a truck coming to drop some things off. I think it’s a great way to recycle items.
There's shopping, then there's shopping in Thailand - everywhere, all the time, from dirt cheap to super expensive
Yes so many choices.
Did you find plarail, Tomica or Tamiya at these places? Have uou seen the stores that sell the Game & Watch toys? O Corner is one.
Great place! Will you please share how to go there ? like by public transport?
I literally showed that in the opening minute of the video. Please take a look in the description of the video, I have Google Maps links to everything.
I guess you bought a lot of things for your new condo 😅 Nice video! See you soon Serg
I’m waiting for my agent to show me 2,175 more condos first. 🤣
@@LifewithSerg 😏😏😏🥴🙄❤️
I got excited will be in Thailand soon!
Awesome, hope you enjoy!
How much was the Nintendo?
I own a videogames store and I see your video and wonder if there cheap retro gaming treasures there.
At the current exchange rate, they’re asking $405. I think that’s way too much. If you’re looking for Japanese import PlayStation games, I might have a source for you. Reach out to me via Instagram or email. Both are in the description of this video and/or my channel main page
That place takes days to learn of a specific zone in which your favorite stuffs are regularly coming.
There’s so much there to see. I’m definitely gonna have to come back, without the pressure of recording, and just look around.
love to see you do a whole episode on wristwatches
I love watches. I actually have a friend who is a watch dealer here, maybe I’ll do something with him.
Was there many Minidisc players and/or 90's walkmans?
Yes some.
Your video was so, so. But wish you would have shown us more of the furniture, was there any teak , that you know of. But thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the so so comment. Lol. Just wasn’t interested in furniture so didn’t show it.
May I ask did you go on a weekday or on weekend? :)
I went on the weekend
@@LifewithSerg thank you! i can only go on monday :(
Doodee Toy. Unfortunate name, but that stall looked amazing.
Lmao.
Serg, drinking Sugary drinks in hot weather will only dehydrate you more, diet drinks are no good either.😊
Thanks for watching.
whai is address of 2nd hand hi fi and Music gear?
As I mentioned in the video, it is literally in the written description of the video. Please look there for a Google Maps link
When in Thailand do not wear black as black absorbs the heat
🙄
Yes, that's right, you're right about the color of the clothes you wear. and because it's hotter than the past few years Due to global warming (El Niño) and will continue to be hot like this until next year. Please maintain your health by carrying drinking water with you wherever you go. to prevent sunstroke Another tip is to wear light or light colors, not dark ones like black or navy blue, for example, as these dark colors absorb sunlight. and absorb heat It's several times hotter than before.
Where is it the place at thailand?
😳🙄 I mentioned in the video that in the written description, below the video, is a Google Maps link to where this is.
Did you find out how much the nes was
Yeah I went back this past weeken and posted it on the community tab. $427 for the NES and $100 for the SEGA. I think the NES is worth $300 max.
Where is this place? I love it!
As I mentioned in the video, please take a look in the written description for a Google Maps link.
I think it’s great that the temple does a donation sell to help support other people.
I wanna go there .
Definitely go check it out

I am well aware that dark colors absorb sunlight. The reason you see many UA-camrs wear dark colors, is because it doesn’t show the sweat as much as light colors.
Hi would you tell me the city. In thailand .i will stopinp by there thank you.
There’s a Google Maps link in the description of the video
Why didn't I see your video sooner?😅
Ha ha. It’s only bed. 5 hours since I posted it. Enjoy.
Sir please show in next video's first copy market
They really don’t like people recording video at those markets.
What about custom duties for export
Just use ranch dressing and they will be ok with it.
Love
Thanks!
How much was the Nintendo!!!???
I came back next week to look. $427. Way too much!
if u wonder why they didn't use the elevator for the fridge you havn't been in thailand long enough.
Because it makes sense. Yes I know. Lol
where is it in bkk??
I gave the name in the video, I also mentioned that there is a Google Maps link at the description. So please look there.
What is the location?
Google map link is in the description
I had that 100 CD charger I’m my IROC lol😅
Seriously?? In your Camaro? That’s epic!
@@LifewithSerg it sat on some anti shock base that didn’t work unless you were standing still ,don’t remember how many cd’sit held but it was a lot . Back when they had that 100 disc for a penny promotion don’t know how they made money on that one
Anti-shock
Yeah I know what the 100 disc changer is. Seen them many times, just shocked you put that in your IROC.
If I went to Thailand, I'd bring an empty suitcase, just wearing the clothes I'd wear for travel and then shop til I dropped lol 😂
Nooooooooo. 😭 There are two things I will not succumb to: elephant pants, and those sling bags/fanny packs. 😂🤣😉
