I honestly don't know. I saw a video of the Russian police forcing one of these guys to eat his own ear. I will honestly say that if you did that sort of thing to me, I'd confess to anything, and blame anybody else. The half a million rubles thing doesn't make a lot of sense. That isn't actually very much money for doing something like this. It seems like the kind of thing somebody would confess to in order to make the torture stop.
The interrogation the Russians have put these guys through makes everything they say automatically unreliable.
I guess the only thing I would really trust at this point is footage from the event where you can see their faces or the suspects saying something later corroborated which the police/FSB could not have known at the time.

@@hydoffdhagaweyne1037 It doesn't really make sense why they would be running towards Ukraine anyway, nor does it seem plausible that they would just surrender to the police just like that. Islamic extremists would either kill themselves or try to cause as much damage before they get caught, not plea for mercy.
On the other hand, Russia probably could have blamed some Ukrainians in order to escalate the war in Ukraine but they didn't. They still tried to say they were bought by Ukraine yet I don't think anyone but the most extreme Nazis in Russia believed it.

False flag, or not, two major questions stands open:
    1. In Moscow, capital of the Russia, country in war, home of Russian security services, where on mention of an antiwar subject, one is summoned and arrested, group of uniformed and armed people, walks in concert hall, where over 6000 people gathered and for over 30 minutes, unchallenged by any government force, executes civilians.... HOW?
    2. After almost an hour, of unchallenged massacre, they walks out and leaves the area, without any stops in and around Moscow (emergency check points...)... HOW?

Более того жертв было бы больше если бы один русский мужчина руками не обезвредил одного таджика с автоматом . Когда он перезаряжал автомат . У него было пару секунд .

First and foremost, issuing a warning to a country about a potential terrorist attack at a large gathering and then branding it as a colossal security failure when it occurs is absurd. Credible threats typically come with specific time and location details; without this information, such warnings hold little significance, especially considering that countries are perpetually on high alert. Additionally, it's unjust to place Putin in a precarious position over this matter. It's a national tragedy, and the entire nation will rally behind Putin to combat terrorism. Comparing this situation to Bush's aftermath of 9/11 or Blair's response to 7/7 , very different narrative, that’s our team in west so let’s rally behind them

A nice and fuzzy recollection of who was responsible is important for Russia. Its also been stated by Russian official media that the US funds ISIS, which is odd considering that Russia & US fought side by side against ISIS in Syria (partly why the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea wasn’t strongly opposed by the Obama administration). The current Russian narrative is that the US & NATO are already fighting in Ukraine, by aligning all Russia’s enemies as controlled by Washington plays well in Russia and in anti-Ukraine circles within the US, where MAGA supporters blame Zelensky for Trump’s first impeachment vote, after Trump blackmailed the Ukrainian president on Zalensky’s inauguration. As illogical as it sounds, people with certain beliefs, based on political alignment, will only hear the parts of the story they want to hear.
