As a Georgian I want to say that our relation with Russia was never good. It get really bad after we decided to leave USSR in 90s. Russia stimulated conflicts in the region by financing ethnic groups and providing arms. We have lost Abkhazia region in 90s after 1.5 year of bloody war, after that our country suffered from a huge economic problems, after 10 years and peaceful revolution in 2003 we started growing economy and doing painful reforms and when we thought that we are getting better, Russions planned another conflicts for us. They invided another region of Georgia in 2008. This time was lasted roughly 3 days and we lost control of the region. Georgia is not an Ukraine, It is a very small country and stopping such enemy like Russia is really hard.

Now with Russia moving its hated yet illegitimate Black Sea naval fleet that has been f**ked up very badly by Ukraine to Abkhazia, a breakaway region in northwestern Georgia/Sakartvelo, I think Georgia/Sakartvelo may already find itself dragged back into war against an already rabid Russia. This time, the war in Ukraine may already turn into an all-out war in the northern and eastern ends of the Black Sea.

I agree in general that Russua is evil, but I would like to hightlight that Russia had internationaly recognized cause to intervent in the 2008th conflict as a "peace keeper" between Osetia and Georgia's central government. Unfortunately, Georgia's strike was more a gamble than a though out strategy and it failed.

Little correction, Georgia has tense relations with Russia since 1991 as Russia supported with arms Georgias breakaway regions, 2008 was only escalation provoked by Russia. Unification of southern caucasus might be a game changer, however that will be hard because Armenia and Azerbaijan hate Each other, Turkey and Armenia hate each other, only Georgia has a good relations with every southern neighbour, but it seems hard to make them talk to each other.

Is it because these Turkic people also occupy the current borders of China, Russia, Iran and they don't want a potential unity between these people. And that you have a conflicting interest? @bostonluyasar7045 2 місяці тому

@@xxxy912 I understand your inferiority complex and the urge to insult Turks in every platform you can find. And I'm sorry about what happened to your ancestors. Ottomans insulted Turks, because Turks were their greatest enemy, and they were right about it. It's not like they insulted themselves. They insulted the rise of nationalist movements which was ignited after the French revolution in the 19th century. You see, Turcoman was the word found in Grecoroman text to describe Turkic (mainly Oghuz) speaking people who inhabited Anatolia and Levant. One of those Turcoman beyliks in the west Anatolia and Thrace were Ottomans. Ottomans didn't call themselves Turks, they probably used the exact sub-branch name to describe themselves, which can be Oghuz, Kipchak, things like that. The term "Turk" is the original name given to the ancient Gokturks (Skyturks) who lived in Mongolia around 1500 years ago. From Siberia to Istanbul, all Turkic speaking people trace their roots back to (Gok)Turks. When the Turkish republic is founded, we adopted this word as our nation's name and deported everybody who insulted our name. I guess that includes your grandparents, too.

Firstly Georgia and Russia have no borders disputes it's all about Russia's funding and arming separatist regions in Georgia and the subsequent invasion of the country twice. As for Armenia and Azerbaijan, their relationship was never good, the corridor you are referring to from my knowledge it is not being used as Armenia objects and Azerbaijan has given up so now they use a pipeline in Georgia. Hmm, don't know how much I agree with this video's assertions. First and foremost using 'zangezur corridor' as the nomenclature for it is neither appropriate nor accurate. Following that up with the assertion that opening the route under pressure seems to be working without providing any evidence of this taking place is incorrect as well. Like seriously, I'd dearly appreciate them sharing where this can be seen, since as it stands we haven't had any discussion on this route for a few weeks now. Also it's funny how Iran resisting against the route is framed as just 'upsetting' Armenia, and not the fact that it risks further eroding Armenian sovereignty especially given the latest flare-ups at the border due to the Azeris.
Don't know what's up with this video, normally tldr europe does a better job of depicting local developments, even if it's done with a euro perspective

Making a Statement that the "Zangezur Corridor is under the de facto control of Armenia" is misleading. There is no Zangezur Corridor at the moment and its a fact. The strip of land that the video refers to, is the official Armenia Iran border which is fully recognized by both Armenia and Iran and the wider international community. Please be careful in the statements u make. This also refers to the Gyumri military base which has nothing to do with the "Russian Peacekeepers" in Nagorno Karabakh. clearly shows that you get your info from western sources. the karabakh war didn't start in 2020, it started in 1992, when the separatists took over khankendi (stepanakert) and azeri forces responded, with armenian mainland forces joining later on to support separatists. after major fights and continuous wins by separatists, the war stagnated in 1994. after that, there was a little counterattack by azeri forces in 2016 and a major counterattack operation in 2020, followed by anti-terrorist operation in 2023, completely ending the occupation. armenians present the war as if it started in 2020, only to omit the atrocities they committed in 1992-94, and the fact that they were the ones to provoke the war, they try to present themselves as victims, which isn't true.

      @yusassin1449 2 місяці тому +10

I work for a company in europe that has Turkish trade partners. I think I could inform you about this.
Turkish companies tend to ask to be paid in Euro's and or dollars instead of Turkish liras. This is a very common practise for Turkish companies, because they view these foreign currencies as stable. As you may know business is not very fond of uncertainty and the Lira fluctuates too much in value. So when a Turkish company does business with another business outside of Türkiye, foreign currency enters the Turkish economy, so it would be correct to say that. International trade provides Turkey with foreign currency.

Armenia was occupying Nagorno Karabağ against the international law, after the war crimes/genocide they'd committed in Hocali in 1992. Azerbaycan just took some part of its own territory back, with the help of Turkey. End of communication.

Is not, Armenia is defacto under Turkish influence because, well, they really can't do anything to oppose them anymore as Russia is more interested in Ukraine.
Is horrible but is either doing what Turkey wants and hopefully getting something in return or risk having more territory taken as an "energy corredor," for example. They are in a really horrible spot.

    Tdlr bellow
They’re not “losing grip” they already gave it up. There was a meeting in 2020 during the Karabakh war between Putin, Lukasenko, Aliev and Erdogan, after which Russia allowed Azerbaijan to continue the invasion, then froze the conflict but promised to hand it over at a later date, which came after 2022 when Russia allowed Azerbaijan to begin complete consolidation of Karabakh in exchange for turkey helping them subvert NATO sanctions. Now turkey and Azerbaijan will take more land & then either completely annex or force Armenia to give full transit access without border controls over southern Armenia, creating a land bridge between turkey and Azerbaijan which also links turkey to Central Asia over the Caspian sea which will allow for more military and geopolitical pan Turkic integration and also eventually the destruction of Russian power in Central Asia. This probably wasn’t anticipated by Russia as they thought they’d be selling Karabakh for sanctions relief during just a few months long war with Ukraine. But now it’s spiralled out of control for them.
Tdlr Russia decided helping Armenia wasn’t worth the trouble (problems with turkey) so they gave them up for help against Ukraine sanctions

    More information to add
-Gaining role of India in Armenia sending arms like Pinaka Missile systems
-India's interest to support Armenia to counter balance with the support of Azerbaijan in the Kashmir issue to Paxtan...
-France and India having friendly relations is another reason...
-North South Transit Corridor (maybe gonna start later after the Ukraine war ends )
-Entry of India and France means a counter to NATO and also connecting Chabahar port of Iran to Armenia to mainstream Iran.
