- Chelsea have decided to scrap their u25 transfer policy come the 2024 summer transfer window. Pochettino looks set to stay at Chelsea as board members believe he should be given the chance to be Chelsea manager going into next season. Chelsea players were given the day off after Arsenal 5-0 Chelsea on Tuesday night.

We need a top manager to properly use the talent we have. Last year Chelsea fans complained about Kai - he looked good smashing two goals on us last game- difference - he has a great manager. Let’s stop talking about players and get a great manager. Poch blaming players is an excuse - the man had Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi - Poch is garbage.
I looked at Real Madrid and how they have blended the young and old players especially in the midfield and defence. That’s how to create a balance team. That under 25 policy is a scam.
Truly said. Chelsea board thinks that changing the whole team with young players will work within 2/3 years. But, it will need at least 6/7 years. Real Madrid did the right thing by blending young and old players.

I don't like Poch. He is not someone what Chelsea needs. Although I don't blame him, since the start of the season we had almost 7-8 players out and Mudryk, Jackson, Sanchez and Badiashile underperformed majorly. If you look at pts and goals scored we have a major improvement from last season. We also reached a final and should have won against city but with very little experience in the team we bottled it and we're gonna bottle another chance to qualify for Europe and if that happens he needs to go and TT makes a comeback before United or Liverpool get him 🤞

Makes 0 subs at halftime to elevate the energy to claw back from 1 nil down. Then he brings silva on in the 80th minute when we're already down 4 or 5. Has poch had injury issues yes, does he have a very young squad yes but you cannot coach this, you cannot tell me has good match management, he does not think, he does not adapt, he does not learn. A third player to increase in value - or perhaps get a value in the first place - is Levi Colwill, another player we don't want to sell, home grown and all that.
The only positive that could emanate from this fiasco of a season, personally, would be the day Poch's sack is announced. If I had my way, I'd sack the Boehly/Clearlake circus troupe to boot. Massive overhaul of the entire flipping club is required.

Re: Enzo, I think that by allowing him to have surgery the club is planning to just 'see the season out' and restart in the summer. Of course, they need to consider player wellfare and protect their asset. But for me, it seems allowing him to have surgery now (with only a few games left), it seems we are resigned to accepting where we are.
As long as we win trophies, nothing else matters. If we don’t win trophies, the owners have got to go.

Dude, you can’t say injuries are a valid excuse for Poch. He’s the one that manages the team, runs the training sessions, ran the pre-season etc. an injury list like ours is the manager’s fault. If there’s an issue with the s&c, physio or medical teams he should be identifying that and demanding the club makes improvements in those areas
It's hard to accept that a new coach would change things. Yet again, Tuchel won the CL with a squad many didn't think was good enough. But again why did potter fail? It's hard to say that a new coach would change things for the better

We can clearly see this team has ability, the games against Everton and Aston Villa in that 3-1 win shows there is class in this team. They just can't flourish under a manager who has never one a single trophy in his career! He is a born loser

It’s a really tough situation, I am back and forth with my opinions on Poch, but currently I see it more so as a owner and sporting director issue and injury list matter than souly on pochettino. We need to see a fully fit squad first before we make anymore change. Would love TT back, or even Jose to input some proper leadership and standards into the club and these players, but that won’t happen, and due to the fact there really isn’t many options out there currently, it’s hard to make a call still.

The reason why we are so firm on Poch was because of heavy investment never enjoyed unlike any other Chelsea coaches without him considering its implications.
The opportunity he had to change things. They are so young and not well groomed and disciplined.
He has not been hampered by injuries if we can a good player to Dortmond.
I used to know a professional cricket player and he told me if he batted badly. He was made to go straight back into the batting nets to sort his batting out. Probably the same for the bowlers.

I know individually we can see some quality in each player but most of them are at best squad players on top teams. If you look at your more successful teams, their mid 3 are more balanced than ours. Gallagher, Caicedo, and Enzo are pretty close to the same type of midfielder. We have no marauding DM to boss the midfield. We have no mid that can break the lines with passing on a dime(not needed to run up for momentum) and we don’t have a dynamic mid that create a moment quality with ball carrying skills. The closest we have is Caicedo Gallagher and Carney 🤦🏾♂️

Admittedly it’s not awe inspiring when compared against Jose etc but it’s a damn site better than Poch who has won literally nothing. At least Tuchel has picked up 10 trophies in his relatively short career so far and yes that includes the Champions league. You can call it luck if you like, but remember when he joined Chelsea we were languishing in tenth and on the slide. That’s season he stemmed the goals and hoicked us up by the bootstraps, improved the defense, finished fourth, won the champions league and went on to win the two FIFA and world super cups. Some luck, compare that with Poch who has won nothing in this league.

I must admit like George benson I was angry after the arsenal game. I think we should give the coach until the end of the season to see if he can get us into Europe. Our standards have dropped massively but we have to be realistic with the players we have. A lot of them are not at the level to play for a club like Chelsea they need time to develop. I don’t think Jackson is good enough to be the main striker yet and unfortunately the lack of maturity and experience in the squad and quality is evident. The owners need to take some accountability for the investments made. You look at the team and it’s very weak. Mudryk has not been good enough, madueke inconsistent, Jackson inconsistent. Theirs also big questions as to what has happened to raheem sterling because he hasn’t performed. That’s another question mark. But overall the team just lacks so much quality and ability to manage games and get results. Either we need to invest in better players poch wants or we need to sack poch and get a better squad for next season. I think the minimum expectation for this team is Europe but certainly results have not been good enough. We need natural born leaders like Thiago Silva and experience playing in big games and we just don’t have those players. The transfer strategy as George mentions has not been good! Let’s hope for a change next season and that the improvements needed are made!

Still struggling with: Solid defending, playing out the back, comfortably circumnavigating a high press, dominating the midfield, intelligent decisions in the attacking third, finishing, transition defense on opponent's counterattacks, tracking on/off the ball, defending set pieces, poor set plays and corners, unwillingness to try bench or academy players.

He's making excellent footballers in Caicedo and Enzo play like league 2 players. We have no system other than blindly counter attack with no patterns of play. It works occasionally and the second somebody can't clutch it for us we are done.
Find a proper manager with a style of play.
