Walking in a blizzard changes your life forever
During the blizzard of 78-early on I decide to go out and get the mail, the box was across the street, when i turned to cross back over the wind had changed, I could not even see to cross the road. I had 3 babies in the house, I had to cross without being able to see if any cars were coming. That was very scary, but my daughters sister in law, decided to be born during that storm and her mother had to ride on a snowmobile in labor to the hospital. LOL! So I guess we all had our problems.
Helluva a story.
We love ND
We love it!
It's got to keep the rif raff out - right?
Having commented before, I will say again...Other places in the states may get similar weather as us, but until you have lived here for several years and experienced the true extremes of the Upper Midwest, you really don't know what it's like...You may have cold temperatures, wind, or snow, but we are really one of the only areas in the country that deals with all 3 with no break throughout the winter!!
The last year really shows our "extremes" with snow through May, ending dramatically with a 110° heatwave in June, a record breaking dry summer, followed by a record breaking wet fall, ending the year with an oddly mild fall and a tornado in December!!
Yup don't plan on experience that.

My dad was stationed in Grand Forks. I remember freezing my but off at the bus stop to go to Red River High School from the air force base. It was brutal. Being a trucker for 30 years I don't go up there after new years til late march!! My truck gelled up on near Clear Lake Iowa last winter. All I did was stop for a 2 hr nap on my way to the twin cities. Truck was running. Had treated fuel and I put in antigell. Right now I'm taking an extended break at home in FL. It's 66 degrees!!
I don't miss living through blizzards, drifts of snow and subzero wind. Blessings
I lived there for five years. In 1997 one day the wind chill was 70 BELOW! Big flood that spring, too.
🥶.
The air-force base to grand forks was always full of cars in the ditch…….always🥶‼️‼️‼️
Wow!
Been there and done that too many times. Not missing it here in the Philippines. We did just experience super typhoon Rai/Odette 2+ months ago and still many islands trying to recover.
Oofta.
Looks a bit chilly eh?
I lived there during my university days at UND. Never went back after getting a job in Atlanta after graduation. Haha
We had this Thursday, hope it's not headed our way in Michigan, where is Grand Forks?
North Dakota
@@Belynda Thank you, I wonder if it's headed toward Michigan. I have a friend in Williston, N.D., looks very cold there
Saludos desde Argentina
Saludos desde Texas, en Argentina en que estación del año están ahorita?
And I thought we had it bad in Yorkshire today when the rain reduced visibilty to under one mile.
I made this drive from GF to Fargo Sunday morning. It was fairly sketchy. Added about 25min to the drive.
It's not full snowpack yet
Hi from Vermont..where r u?
I live where this was filmed. In town just another day at work.

🌨🌨🌨🌨😍😍
This is happening everywhere people are crashing some people aren’t seeing this happening before, just drive careful
I wonder if the trucker 🚶♂️ walking behind his semi in a white out blizzard was thinking 🤔 why am I out here?? Probably not. Unencumbered by the thought process!! 😳😳😳
Friends there hope you all stay home in Donaldson
🙇🏾♀️🙇🏾♀️🙇🏾♀️
It's not driving in blizzards that bother me, it's the days after the blizzard when you get all the ice build up on the roads or the packed snow.
Plows, what plows
Nothing like the dreaded prairie snow snakes....hit enough of them at speed and they will suck you into the nest in the ditch every time.
No one has their lights on
Please don't expect me to drove there
Don't miss that crap
No place 4 me
Lmao
Matt 24.20. but pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day. Matt.24. 20. For then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the begining of the world to this time, no nor ever shall be.
