Tried these at a fleet feet event. Waited an hr before the group run started, my calves were getting so tired . Definitely a shoe to wear where you are not waiting a long time to start your race and get them off as soon as the race is over
Sounds like this shoe is like the Prime X2 for me... as long I run on the middle of a road, or on smooth pavement, shoe is superb, but as soon the road falls of to one site or gets bumbs - the shoe turns into an unpleasent mess. I have the first wave rebellion pro in the kakizome color, for collecting reasons, I'm too slow for it anyway, was hoping the RP2 gets more forgiving in the second version, but still too dope for me. Looking forward to your WR Flash review
on the heel drop feel/specs discrepancies, it’s likely because the heel measurement provided is measured closer to the back of the shoe. I work at a running store and a mizuno rep told us that towards the middle of the shoe (just before the back of the midsole cuts away) is close to 50mm. this was so they could get as much foam as possible and also avoid the WA max of 40mm. love your videos!
NB is exactly what popped into my mind looking at the outsole. My first pair of running shoes was a Mizuno Wave Prophecy (V1). I put over a thousand miles on those, and they barely look used! Those things were indestructible 13oz tanks. Glad to see Mizuno taking some big risks even if they don't pan out for everyone.
I have the same issues in my Prime X Strung on cambered road’s, especially with my left ankle. I volunteered in the finish chute at the Atlanta marathon this year and watched a few people trying not to roll an ankle while walking in the rebellion pro after their race.
Love this shoe so much and really like where Mizuno is going. Hella excited for their mystery trainer which I hear feels like a slightly more responsive SC Trainer 1, which I love as well
Thanks for the reviews. Noticed you aren’t really doing Nike comparisons anymore. It’s cool to see reviews on diverse brands but it would be good to see how they benchmark vs the top of the line racing Nikes.
I second that. And personally I feel that Nike shoes have dipped in quality, keeping vaporfly aside. Pictures look great but when you order in , the quality seems flimsy. Performance has dipped too. Now with asics, Hoka and saucony innovating
I kind of prefer the colorway of the older Rebellion Pro 1. It reminded me of those urban camo wraps that car makers put on their test vehicles -- which exactly matched Mizuno's experimental vibe.
I had a similar experience with the WRP2. When I land on the sweet spot, it’s a super energetic, almost AlphaFly level propulsion. But for a race shoe, it requires a little too much conscious thought to maximize the effect. Other shoes, I could just set and forget. Maybe if they kept the revamped Enerzy Lite+ but went back to a less aggressive bevel, it would be more accessible. 🤷♂️
So interesting thing here. I have the flash 2, and love it. But needed an easier day shoe so got the sc trainer V2. I hadn't seen this video yet. But i was looking into the pro 2 and i feel very smug that i had made tthe same choice as one of the shoetube big hitters! 🤣🤣😎
This one is not for heelstrikers. For obvious reasons. There is a big speed bump after heel. For midfoot and forefoot strikers only. Or, say, under 3h heelstrikers maybe. Also 2 mm drop is measured from that 38mm heel, the real drop from highest pointi is over 10mm. And u can feel it.
Currently have v1, while normally I love soft I have grown to love firmness in racing shoes. In fact, I like my vaporflys MORE now that they are over 250 miles because they are that much more firmer. What's your favorite firm racing shoe?
Does the lack of heel support make these uncomfortable to walk or stand around in? The shape makes me worry I'd fall backwards waiting at the start line.
Yo Ko, I got the rebellion pro 2 in 9,5 (same as the 1st version) but I’m usually a size 9. Size 9.5 fits perfectly, like any other 9us shoes. So for the flash 2, would you go 9.5 too or stay with 9?
Most of the super shoes are kind of ugly imho. But obviously function takes precedent of form. Since they are made for a specific purpose rather than fashion.
Mizuno are making 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊 in the running world 😏

it's amazing how you said everything exactly as I feel about this shoe
Great review, and I can't wait to get my hands(feet) on this one - I ran my fastest 10k (35.45) in V1 so love it!!
Excellent review, Mr. Kofuzi. All important points addressed. No strings attached. Great job, as always!

Thanks for the input on this shoe. Your reviews always help out alot. I dont think this one is for me. Keep up the good work! 🙌
Look forward to the review of the Wave Rebellion Flash 2 I was curious and saw it on sale for $147 so I took the bait and picked it up.
Good morning. I'm not a elite runner but the Like to Kofuzi. !!! The spring is here!!!!. Have a great friday.
Good morning!

Love my Pro 1s and Flash 2s ❤️

because nike is a genocide complicit.
I'm very, very, very curious & intrigued about this new Wave Rebellion 2 👌 Thanks for your thorough review 👍
Glad to have bought this shoe at the Osaka Main Store at the beginning of the year. Retail after tax refund is only $180 USD!!
Really like your reviews, very thorough

Yeah the first black and white was killer. Everything after sucked :(
Have loved mine! Undefeated on the roads with them.
Great job kofuzi..can feel it even with rebelion fly 2..rebelion pro 2 otw
I have the first edition and love them. At first its a wierd sensation putting them on. But once running. The feed back is unreal
THANK YOU SO MUCH, JESHOES! 🙏🏻
I tried alot of shoes in my local store and even the staff said I'd love or hate them but I absolutely loved them compared to anything else I tried

Very informative review!!
I’ve always been intrigued on the fabric looking layer between the outsole and the midsole tho. Not sure of you know more about it / noticed it?
I thought the WRP 2 was for sub 2:30 marathoners and the WR Flash 2 was for us regular marathoners.😁
Just bought my rebellion pro 2 now
So interesting thing here.

You’re my thinking 4th dimensionally, Marty

I miss the crazy colorway from the last gen

You don’t feel like your falling back but you definitely feel like you’re tiptoeing every time you take a step
It feels like you’re standing on a speed bump lol
awesome review. so you will do the flash 2 as well? :)
What do you think of the wave rider 27s?

I have both, I found the Pros actually fit bigger. For me the flash runs small, and pro closer to TTS
At 7:07 what shirt are you wearing on? That looks nice 😊🔥
thanks
Wow, "Racing Flats" are no longer flat, are they?
That’s hasn’t been the case since about 2018
@@kofuzi guess I"m dating myself a bit on that one. :-) Thanks for the reminder.
🔥🔥🔥
Great reviews when is it for sale in the US?...
It’s already for sale
I just saw one of the on Zappos for $140 and I thought too long and it’s gone 😭
I like how this shoe looks like. Too bad i wont ever spend 250$ for a shoe unless i run sub 2:40
you kept mentioning "forefoot" where is that on the foot?
Anything in front of dead center.
Does anyone remember Sketchers shape ups? These are basically those shoes 😂
These look WAY to close to sketcher shape-ups
Yo, what’s going on!!!
Mizuno 👍🏻
Asics 👍🏻
Nike 👎🏻
🤭🤫
Lmao
тапок, как раз смотрю себе. жаль... непонятно , что несет басурманин
This shoes is for jogging and walking..😆Not running!😅it's good for older people can wear them.😉
That's an ugly looking shoe. And those cutouts are horrible if you're ever running on gravel. Not my cup of tea.
