You need a modifier, your strobe shots seem a bit hard, also when using a strobe outdoors to look more natural the strobe should only supply about 40% of the light. At 40% there should be good fill, no shadows around the eyes etc. A good flash meter is essential

Thank you ! I always use a light modifier for sure does wonders ! I haven’t invested in a light meter just yet , but I’ve been doing more cake smash and toddlers latley so it’s been indoors with 2 strobes and modifiers

@@christineoliviaphotography4065 oh ok, I didn't see a modifier on your outdoor shots, when I am using a strobe outdoors, I keep it close to the model, makes the light softer. A good flash meter is pricey, I use the sekonic 358, I've had it for years and it will give you light ratios, without it I would be in trouble, I shoot medium and large format film so no room for error
