Yes, when a cat is struggling to rub his two brain cells together, you can tell. My mom has one like that, who was an orphaned kitten. She missed out on nutrients and socialization during a critical window. She doesn’t accept other cats, but is my mom’s big 13 year old baby. She still kneads and suckles her neck, but can get lost in the same little house she has always lived in. Her claw was stuck in the rug one day, but my mom was late for work and let her figure it out. When she got home from work, the cat was still in the same spot, stuck. Couldn’t retract that claw, with a whole day to think about it. Man, did Mom feel bad! ❤

Now that it's 9 months ago, do you feel better now, or does it at least hurt less much? i also lost my cat recently. Boy, do i miss him, Lost him on Oct 5 and am still crying for him on March 8 (when i'm not in company). Also he was not really smart, in the way he used his paws to interact with things. But he was smart in other ways: 1) He was smart in avoiding to hurt me. Like: when he was young, he used to scratch my hand while playing with me. One time i decided to scream like i would feel pain. From then on he avoided scratching me. 2) He was smart in not doing what i did not want him to do (at least when i didn't see it). He had such good manners that i could have him sit on the table, next to my plate, and he did not disturb me too much. i almost always gave him something. So we could eat in harmony. 3) When i had to euthanize him - because his disease became too hard - i had an appointment with a vet to come to my home and do it. i postponed it for one day and decided to tell him about the postponing. When i told him he reacted like he would have understood my words. Isn't that incredible? Maybe he was also thankful that i gave him a better life then where he was before.
i had a timmy he was my best friend for 17 years. looked exactly the same. his kidneys went. the vet said because i gave him wet dry and lots of treats. i thought i'd feed him lots of treats but it is harder on there kidneys cause it is grains. don't kill your cat with kindness. now i have missy. she is my best friend. i never give her treats. it is hard to know what is best for them. god bless
Don't be so hard on yourself. There should be warning labels on pet food. One of our cat's (who passed away from cancer) when he was young we changed his cat food not knowing it would almost kill him. We spent $3000 at the emergency vet to save his life after he developed crystals in his kidney. We learned to feed our cats only the best cat food high in protein and low in fiber.
Cats are carnivores. They are MEAT eaters. Cats in the wild don't stalk corn or wheat. Give them meat. Vets make money when pets are SICK. Human doctors make money when people are sick and dying. Make sure your dogs and cats eat meat and make sure that they drink water too.
What a beautiful kitty and a kind hearted person. I felt the love all the way through this almost as much as I felt the tiny razor-sharp kitten claws at 1:18.

Timmy is as cute as they come! I love his meow and deep purr, and he's in such a loving home. Mother cats will bring their babies to people. It's happened to me twice, and once mama brought babies and stayed also. I don't know how they know. I think they have a special "sucker gene" that points them to people who will cooperate. ❤
An adorable "avocado!" Wet food helps make cats (esp. males) avoid kidney issues later in life more so than dry. Might also trim his avocado belly a bit so he can be his best athlete. Dry kibble no matter the type or hype is more about convenience for people. He is a sweetheart and you are his lifeline!
My boy almost died of a blockage this year. $4000 dollar vet bill that I couldn't pay, we scraped together $500 and so they skipped all the tests and gave us the bare minimum emergency care and medication... Knocked him out, put a catheter in dumped blood from his bladder for about an hour until they said we can't just keep doing this, he is gonna have to pass this on his own at home. Prazosin 2x a day, gabapentin 3x a day (had to use my own script because of money), and SQ fluids into his back through a needle 3x a day... That was about 3-4 weeks of meds and for the first two I thought each day might be his last. I always thought I was too poor to give my cats special food so they often got mid grade kibble .... Now both of my cats are on prescription urinary so wet food mixed with water and it's made all the difference. They are both so healthy and you can really see it in the litter box... I'm really grateful for the animal hospital that did what they could to save my boy but I'll always blame myself for cheaping out on the food because I thought I couldn't afford it. I would have had to euthanize him that day if they hadn't taken the $500 (that also killed us financially)... Moral of the story is fuck dry food! We get 5.1 oz cans for $2.30 a piece and it's been worth it to save my best friend
Especially if it's delivered by an automatic feeder. I cringed a bit at that sentence. After all the love she gives to him, hearing she's letting him eat as much as he wants is kinda sad. Need to control the intake (=give measured portions of food) for a cat as overweight as Timmy.
@@CherryGS automatic cat feeders deliver a controlled amount of food at the times it is programmed too. It doesn't feed the cat whenever the cat wants it. I'm assuming she's using the automatic feeder to make sure his portions are right for diet control.
@@cassandrathomas6015 ok, didn't know something like this existed. I've only ever seen the monstrosities you fill with lots of dry food and they always keep the feeding bowl topped up.

Now I saved to more strays & already had 4 cats Now 7 cats altoghter ! ❤ & I'm more of a dog person had many dogs through my life .
He is so precious! You might want to give him a spoon of wet food every day. Our vet explained that most cats don't drink enough water. Then they get a bladder infection that moves into their kidneys which start to shut down. It can end up killing them. A little wet food keeps the whole problem from happening. He is such a beautiful, happy cat!
I had a cat like that, and he was absolutely lovely 🥰 They're not stupid at all though. He was like "do anything - I just enjoy spending time with you"
It isn't that he has nothing to say, nobody has asked him anything interesting enough to respond to.

What a sweet boy. You have done a great thing by saving this little life❤
He is really a genius, he’s just modest and doesn’t want to make others feel inferior.

I love this! I"ve watched it 3 times! He is so cute and sweet. He knows what he's doing. Blessings to both of you.
Ooooh yes, he really loves you! For sure 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Awwww he's got it all going on ......including looks 🤍🤎💜💙💙💚💛🤍
SO CUTE!!! And the way he could climb all the way up her leg when she was standing is too adorable - and skillful!
wow thank you so much for rescuing , loving and adopting him and giving him a forever loving and a safe comfortable and warm home. you are amazing and I must say Timmy is soooooooo beautiful, so kind, so gorgeous , super cute , loving and affectionate , a true blessing, and I just wish so much I could also give him a big loving hug and I am so happy you are his loving and wonderful human-mama, he deserve all the love in the world, I literally was smiling so much seeing him with tears of joy, so thank you for sharing and may God bless you, Timmy, all your kitties, your dad and love ones with infinite happiness, joy, love , peacefulness, great luck, success and prosperity
what a beautiful thing to say 🙏
Timmy is as cute as they come! I love his meow and deep purr, and he's in such a loving home. Mother cats will bring their babies to people. It's happened to me twice, and once mama brought babies and stayed also. I don't know how they know. I think they have a special "sucker gene" that points them to people who will cooperate. ❤
Timmy...you are so precious😻
Adorable! Thanks for sharing. 💗🐾🐈
What Timmy lacks in scintillating conversation he makes up for with love, cuddles & cuteness.
So beautiful so eigenvalue so awesome ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍
Timmy is the cutest!!
I have to feed my cat one kibble meal a day for his gum health. I wish I could only feed him the wet food be loves ☹️
Timmy is the, and I don't say this lightly, cutest kitty EVER! 💕
I absolutely love cats
He‘s so precious. A real momma‘s boy and so beautiful.
He’s adorable 🥰
You've got yourself a sweet little buddy there. Thank you for sharing his story.
He's so beautiful 😍 and fluffy and chunky 😂😂 He's completely spoiled by his human mom and loves it. To him she IS his mom and vice versa.. she bottle fed him. And yes that is her baby. 😘😘😘🥰😍 He's too freaking cute. Glad she rescued him.
Oh my goodness Timmy is just the most precious special adorable little munchkin I’ve ever seen! 😭😭🥰🥰 could he literally _be_ any sweeter if he tried?! what an amazing mommy you are🥰👏🏼he hit the jackpot when your dad found him and yall hit the jackpot with him! Life with cats is beautiful and full of pure love.💚
Yes, he is here for the good times! 😻
A lovely kitten !!! 😍💖😘💖😘😸...
He is exquisite - so lucky to have found him and now he’s enriched your life as much as you’ve enriched his. 💗.
Awww so adorable. You did a good job! I saved a tiny under weight kitty the mother didn't want to take care of him. I took him in & bottle fed him & hes such a good boy. Now I saved to more strays & already had 4 cats Now 7 cats altoghter ! ❤ & I'm more of a dog person had many dogs through my life .
We are sure that Timmy loves you so much! Thank you for taking care of him!
Have you tried a water fountain, my cats drink from their water fountain all the time
I also add water “gravy” to their dry dinner to help fend that problem off. They love it, lol.
Timmy is unbelievably cute & so chilled. Good job mom :)
I believe him to be highly intelligent; a learned doctor, I’m sure.
He is very lovely indeed 😻😻😻😻
Who cares if he's a GENIUS-- he's BEAUTIFUL-- and loving and just a GREAT blessing!!!
You will never ever regret what you did to make that little kitten into a well loved cat furever.
Timmy is just too cute!!!
He was given a second chance in life. The cat is just humble and aware that he lives in pure harmony.
Dad rushing in to tell them they had to save the kitten is so precious to me. I'm so happy Timmy is getting all the love he deserves
Your love story with Timmy is the sweetest thing ❤ You’re a wonderful Cat Mom. Your babies are so lucky to have you 🫶
He is so dang cute and cuddly!! I love him!! 🥰🥰🥰
He is such a lil baby
Aww. He's adorable. He reminds me a lot of my Toby, who was the runt of his own litter and who also has a really sweet, affable personality.
Thank you for sharing this gift to the world. Timmy is the hero we need to aspire to be like.
I had a cat like that, and he was absolutely lovely 🥰 They're not stupid at all though. He was like "do anything - I just enjoy spending time with you"
