Having both drones in hand, creating a resolution part of your video, and then not comparing some zoomed in shots for detail is crazy! Cheers my dude, have a good one.
The DJI Neo default follow/circrle/drone shot is close/medium but you can connect to the phone and change it to far/high. It will remember and the next time you take off without the phone. I assume DJI Flip is the same.
@ nice to know. I don’t have a hover, but I can tell it is the best for vlog and designed to be used without phone or controller. Wish it could be a little cheaper and competition is good
Remote is key in my opinion and just knowing your having issues with the hover right away has concreted my decision to just stick with dji , there is a reason they are number 1 price and quality, who puts out a drone with remote issues and it doesnt come with the drone , just another reason to stick with the leader ,
Usually I think your videos on drones are the best but this one just....forgot to mention image quality? Like, you talk resolution, but that really doesn't say much. Is the 10-bit HLG worth it on the ProMax vs just the Pro? Does D-LogM on the flip have more dynamic range than the HLG on the ProMax? How does the bitrate hold up under highly detailed forest environments? Is the 8k actually capturing 8k worth of information? Can sharpening be turned down to avoid that overprocessed look? I'd love to see a static scene in a challenging environment like a forest with highlights and shadows and both drones in the same position. Don't even have to get them flying! Just set them on the same spot, get a 10sec clip in 8k HLG and 4k D-LogM, then bring it into Resolve/Premiere and flip back and forth between the two video files to show the differences. The follow shows you did kinda show this comparison, but they're not close enough for a good A/B comparison. I still like your videos 😊 Just offering some feedback. Keep up the good work!
Good feedback. I have other videos that show off more quality of each drone so you can check those for reference. This wasn’t just a quality test video, but more of a features you should know video and their differences. More about my top reason why I would choose one over the other.
I've looked at several reviews. The image quality of the Pro Max is not as good as the Flip. The major flaw of the Pro Max is almost all the footage, especially in bright sunlight is overexposed and washed out. From what I'm reading you can't adjust exposure settings for quick shots. As much as the Pro Max size is better for my needs and despite some drawbacks with the Flip, I think it's the better choice for me.
@@dougmacmillan1712 That's kind of the impression that I've been seeing, which is really disappointing considering that the sensor should be capable of better. Hopefully hover air continues making improvements and refining, I think they have a great product on their hands!

@@londenard The point is that there's going to be a HUGE difference between 1 axis and 2 axis and not much less between 2 and 3 axis. Just look at a Neo flying vs an X1 Pro or Flip.
@Peakabike Okay, if you say so... I've had drones with no gimbal, drones with 1, 2 and 3 axis gimbals... The introduction of the stabilized gimbal on drones was a game changer back in the day.
