Best video I've seen on the flip so far. I like the way you put filmed on the flip in the corner 😊 very useful. Liked and subscribed just off the back of this video. 👍
Best video I’ve seen hands down on the flip. Ever so clearly explained and quality edit as well good job. Been flying drones for years have had nearly all of them but it’s always good to see somebody else’s take and this is excellent if you’re new to the hobby.👍👍
Pretty nice video, i like your opinion on camera and safety guard of the drone. You are so amazing that you are doing this kind of helpful content for people who want to hear honest review of the drone. I think that this drone is amazing due to its ability to track you and follow.
Interesting device, I guess I might've rushed too soon in to getting a Neo! - still happy with that at the moment as it's a cheapo way to learn about drones (already flown it into a few things!).
Thanks for great review! We are looking for drone to record videos from our motorcycle journeys. Now we consider DJI Mini 4 Pro & DJI FLIP. We have four questions: 1) Does DJI FLIP can track people riding a motorcycle? We heard that it has a problem with e.g. a car, what about motorcycle with people on it? Maybe AI can allow if it recognize people on it. It would be great if you can check this :) 2) What's the maximum capacity of MicroSD card for DJI FLIP? 3) Does DJI FLIP show on DJI RC 2 controller a green path when its returning (like a DJI 4 Mini Pro does)? 4) Are the bags in the fly more combo for DJI Mini 4 Pro and DJI FLIP the same size or is one of them bigger? When traveling on a motorcycle we have to limit luggage as much as possible :) Thank you in advice.
@@crippa2 yup. It’s not fast enough for a cyclist so I think motorcycle will be an issue. I haven’t seen anyone do a max speed test. My local DJI dealer said the flip is faster but I think he didn’t know. I asked for the spec following rating and he couldn’t find it. Someone said 27mph in a vid and that won’t be enough for a motorbike
Great content, just purchased a mini4 pro now seeing this think I made a mistake, what do other enthusiasts think should I sell the 4 pro and get the flip or stay with the 4pro .🤔🇬🇧
Hi, hi decent enough review, but you need to mention the faults or downsides of the drone also so people can make info decision. It doesn't handle wind very well which great the effects the video, accessing the propeller blade is very tricky,if you crash it the capella guards are built in so will have to be repaired by DJI only ,the infrared avoidance doesn't work that well with smaller object detection .it's real benefit is in darker lighting.only 1.9 GB memory built in . isn't really a pal landing device like the neo.
no issues over water in quickshot mode... with NEO that is a big no no.. Yes yes sorry I have not looked at the entire video... so I might come back and edit myself :p
just another review sponsored by DJI, wow 48mpixels.... hmm sensor is as a flying iPhone 14, stability as a 249g drone in winds below a gust and still all youtubers as Mark just love it....strange
As one-for-everything compromise the Flip might be ok, but besides camera I don't see big advantages over the Neo but a lot disadvantage compared to the Mini series. The design is just bad. Heavy load on top instead below makes it physically more unstable - plus it doesn't have rotor size / and 'wing' span like Minis so it can't compete in wind either. If its purpose is for quick selfie shots everywhere than DJI failed again like with Neo. Their no. 2 priority after cam quality should less noise and as heard in another YT video this one still sounds annoying compared to a Mini 3/4
It's a shame it's noisier than MINI4 which was launched a few years ago?? How can this be a selfie drone if it cannot be flown due to its noise in majority of the places. DJI you had one job no wonder Walksnail is gaining popularity.
seems to be great drone from DJI but flying in higher altitudes or in windy conditions it wont be any stable, thats why mini 4 pro is till best option for windy conditions
@ All drones weight more that 100g have to register in Japan (and must have remote ID) In USA, as far as I know, for part 107 need 1) under 55 pounds (250g) 2 prop guards 3) remote ID
Let's talk about the con's since these influencers get these drones for free and aren't allowed to say anything bad about them. -wind resistance is so so so bad, jitters all over the dang place unlike the mini 4 pro -very loud drone like a swarm of bees compared to the mini 4 pro's low hum noise -very hard and tedious to swap propellers -advertised 31 minute battery more like 22 minutes real world -Stripped of all the feature the mini 4 pro has which is a crap ton of them :( -ugly design -doesn't fit in the pocket unlike the hover x1 pro/max -can't track a car -has trouble tracking you going through trees (lidar is more gimmicky than useful) -no fpv compatibility -No rear obstacle avoidance sensors like none at all. (unlike the Hover x1 pro max) -2gb onboard storage like huh the neo got 22gb and this got basically none. (enough for some photos) -advertised to land and take off from the palm (they actually recommend to pinch the drone for takeoff/landing) They copied the hover x1 pro but did a terrible job on the design. It's big for no reason the folding part is the biggest gimmick it takes only 2 seconds less than a mini 4 pro opening up lol. There's honestly more con's than pro's when compared to a mini 4 pro. Your getting a dumb downed stripped version of a mini 4 pro with a very gimmicky foldable design ooohhhh supposed to save you 3 seconds in time ooooohh. Those quick shots are fun for the first 10 times after that they are features that are just essentially gimmicks. In which i tend to fast forward in people's videos because it's done over and over on everyone's channels its annoying. The hover x1 pro max beats it in some categories but the flip does beat the hover in some as well. So all in all both systems have cons and you just have to either settle for which con you can accept or just wait for their next iterations, since you know they practically release a refresh version every 6 months and a new iteration every year to year an a half. I'm leaning towards waiting for a refresh of this which is funny considering it dropped today or a refresh on the hover x1 pro max to see if their next iteration comes with a more comparable sized battery at least 20 minutes and a transmission range of at least 2 miles, because let's be real 500 meters is a joke.
A new Flip owner. Your VDO is easy to understand and follow. Thank you.

great value. Excellent content, Thanks Mark.
12:35 game changer if you don't mind the buzzing of a drone on your audio track

12:54 Neo does all of the same with lesser quality , for the price it’s amazing as well , with fpv functions as well
£370. Not bad at all. I definitely don't need a drone, so naturally I'm buying one 😂
Hi Mark it´s a really good video. Thank´s from germany, Peter
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 best drone ever 😮

Very informative video. I have a doubt since I haven’t used any drone yet. Will the follow mode work when it flies in a small crowd?
If they release a mini 5 pro, that will easily be the best light weight drone….. have fun flying!❤
Nice bro 👌💫
Great vid which of your LUTs did you use?

From what I saw in review videos it doesn't track vehicles yet ,only people
Easy mini 4 pro
Seemed to work fine when he was on a bike? Only problem might be the speed?

Stay with the 4 pro its better, but because I couldn't justify the 300$ more mini 4 pro I got the Flip, but im still really excited!
Can you control the camera independently?
Hi, hi decent enough review, but you need to mention the faults or downsides of the drone also so people can make info decision.

Would u say this or the mini 3 as a beginner drone?
Please DJI flip Vs mini 4k
Does the dji flip have obstacle avoidance like the mini 4 pro? does the dji flip have a micro sd card too?
Only front with its lidar and has a micro sd with 2gb onboard :(
No only in the front
Mini 4 pro is still on top
No. It has a IR front sensor that works so so. Means wall yes. Branch can’t see.
It has a slot for the micro sd
When using the phone to control the drone. What is the max distance the drone will go to. Cheers
30-50m
wow do you think this is a better buy than the mini pro 4?
No
I really think it’s a diff type of drone, more for creator/vlogging type of ppl plus they have diff price points
Will it track a vehicle? I'd like to use it to follow my truck while offroading (slow speed).
No
Does it take the M4P filters?
Have you tried when there are too many people, will the drone follow you or tract other people?
Cab you command it to take still photographs, and if yes, how?
Better this or neo?
This is better than a Neo unless you fpv. But costs more too
I had my hand raised high, 1 on a building and 2 in a forest with steep uneven ground and tough to look around in….
Can it track cars?
No
how long on the one battery?
22minutes real world.
Is this compatible for N3 goggle?
No
No remote I.D
no issues over water in quickshot mode... with NEO that is a big no no.. Yes yes sorry I have not looked at the entire video... so I might come back and edit myself :p
Wouldn’t do it without being connected to the controller or in its autonomous mode. Don’t want it losing connection to phone and hovering lol
@ yeah I would only run Neo over water with remote connected. But mostly we do quick shots and love it. All we need.
just another review sponsored by DJI, wow 48mpixels.... hmm sensor is as a flying iPhone 14, stability as a 249g drone in winds below a gust and still all youtubers as Mark just love it....strange

It’s the limitation of prop guards built in
the sound is off, not in sync with video from that mic.
I don’t know why everyone thinks this is better than the mini 4 pro cause it’s obviously not
Because its better than Mavic
Nope they cropped the vertical view. Also, you cannot track vehicles or anything.
seems to be great drone from DJI but flying in higher altitudes or in windy conditions it wont be any stable, thats why mini 4 pro is till best option for windy conditions
No remote ID. I think remote ID is a must right now since there are some countries required it in order to register.
Nope. Not under 250g weight.

@@rogmes1380Ah ok! 😄
Looks great until you see the price
Yes with the price point I would just get the mini 4 pro
@@TonyHolmes-z9r the mini 4 pro is almost double the price😐

Very comprehensive and fair analysis. I think the front isn’t even lidar. I saw someone saying ir? It doesn’t perform well
