I just received this pedal from Sweetwater about 3 weeks ago. I'm stunned at the quality of sound to say the least! Honestly I haven't found all the various sweet spots in the pedal because it's so freaking deep! But I can tell just from the initial run through and the textures that this adds to my rig that I run in stereo. My main rig is a tone king imperial Mark 1 with a celestion gold alNico speaker in it and my other amp is Dr Z Maz18 Jr that I bought two years ago Between the two I'm floored literally floored at the sounds I'm getting! You can ping pong the delay you can actually sweep the reverb from channel to channel. UA thought of everything in this marvelous pedal. It's the best 300 some odd dollars I've ever spent on a single pedal and I have Sweetwater to thank for this demo amongst others that I viewed on UA-cam. Shout out to my customer service / sales guy Pat over there at Sweetwater! Thanks for the upload Mitch this has been really helpful! 😊🎸🔊🎵
I really think for the money, that having a parallel AND a series setup should be included. Having a digital delay and reverb in parallel is a dope sound.
I'm sure UA customers who shelled out $800 for both the Starlight and Golden Reverberator and are now being offered essentially 90% of the functionality of those two pedals combined into one enclosure for the price of just one pedal instead of two are feeling absolutely thrilled about supporting a company like UA right about now.
Nailed it! In fact, I’m going to sell both of those pedals and won’t buy another UA pedal just because they have done this. Imagine the deals that people who now want to replace both pedals with tnis one are being offered!
@@LysanderLH No need to worry.. if I understand UA's business strategy, if we wait a few more months UA will likely drop the Del-MAX-Galaxy 3-in-1 (and for just $279!)...... Seriously, I like UA products but this seems like one of those shamelessly crude capitalist moves.. wait til sales slow on v1 items, then repackage them together into one thing and sell it as something new (and for much cheaper), rinse, repeat. Who wants to pay $800 for 2 pedals taking up space on your board when you can get virtually everything from both those pedals for just $349 and in a single enclosure? Man that's a salty move to drop on your customers... strange business ethics there
At first I was thinking ‘sell them both and pick this up’ but I’m sortof feeling this vibe. The only thing I really care about on the Golden is a great spring. My Flint gets me 80% there but I loathe the spring.
This sounds awesome but I need quarter dotted settings and at least five presets and tap. I would probably buy a double sized version if they made it with those options.
Hey Mitch ive bought 2 of these and both keep switching the effects on and off whats going on with these so frustrating that UA are selling gear that is faulty ive tried factory resets and no joy do you have any idea? Cheers
@@henryhill92 Nope, not the same though. I love my Dream65, but the reverb is not the same as the one in the GR (otherwise I'd sell my GR and just keep my Dream)
@@SS-gx7tg actually it is but it sounds very different cuz of where it’s placed (between the pre and power amp on the Dream like a real amp and either before or after the amp on Golden, like a pedal). That being said, you can’t replace one with the other because of the order
Big fan of your demos Mitch but you should include playing a dotted 8th note riff (400ms) and a slap back riff(143ms) and a good ol’ general purpose 343ms delay. Nice product but I’m sticking with my TimeLine. After 10 years it’s fused onto my pedal board and I’m still finding new ways to use it.

Mitch has never stuttered or stammered…..ever!!
this one is my favorite out of them thus far
That fender reverb is so well voiced it brought back bad memories I’ve had with my fender amp
I love the quality UAD brings to every product!

Sounds like you want a VENTRIS.

Yeah... I was really hoping we were going to see more models for the existing pedals, but here we are.
These companies are scammers. No respect for the consumers. Good job .not.

This pedal sounds fantastic. I don’t own any prior pedals via UA but I can see why people are upset about it though.
This is a cool pedal. If I didn't already have the Strymon Cloudburst I'd be very tempted by this Del-Verb Pedal
That Mod sounds amazing
Also, Mitch Gallagher, you rule good sir!
Looks And sound great but ‘studio grade’ fx should have stereo I/O imo, not useful for ma set up the moment
00:03:33 reminded me of Stranger Things arpeggio melody
Source Audio Collider doesn't seem dethroned.
i had both and i can tell you are totally right, except for the sound ;)
Sticking with the Collider simply because it has a predelay knob.

Mono input to stereo output for recording how ?

sounds pretty great but no presets and no midi....
Does this have everything that’s in the Golden reverberator - The Golden reverberator is more expensive…?
So in guessing the spring reverb is the same algorithm as on the Dream ‘65?
No, the golden reverberator
@@SS-gx7tg thx
@@SS-gx7tg Both, really. Spring 65 A in the Golden sounds the same as the spring in the Dream

Is that basically starlight + golden? Damn…
Yeah, but no preset except via phone app
The Memory Man is still available and sounds much better than the clone.
only mix knob for reverb, looks like less options than starlight with very poor reverb functionality, no point
I want it .can I trade my starlight
Kind of underwhelming tbh. The memory man didn’t sound very accurate, especially the vibrato mode. That seemed way off from how the real thing sounds.
