  • A flight attendant has had it with unruly passengers and he’s making it known. “Shame on the passengers who have made this flight a living hell for the flight attendants,” he told the plane. The trouble started when the American Airlines flight to Charlotte was diverted to Raleigh, where it sat on the tarmac for three hours. One passenger became difficult after being told he needed to keep his mask on. Musician Brent Underwood recorded the incident on his phone, and spoke to Inside Edition. #InsideEdition

      You seriously need to relax in regards to this situation. This was a 3 hour delay, of course everyone's going to be frustrated. Feeling this way, and having an outburst, isn't the best way to handle the situation, but the reason behind that outburst is not one that is completely ridiculous.

      @@ChocolateRabbitEars To answer your question..YES... people need thick skin no matter what you act professional during your job even if someone spits in your face you go and get a cop and have them arrested....Flight attendant threw a temper tantrum just like a child. I said something to my 15 year old daughter before we went out and she got her feelings hurt and said " fine now were not going"....sounds just like the flight attendant " now were going back to the gate"...also did he really need to get on the loud speaker to announce how much his feelings were hurt? Video is less then 2 minutes and he showed 2 times how he is a drama queen

      @@nomennescio7571 In WA state it’s 13.85 for minimum wage in the job I’m in so I’m fine. But dealing with rude people and on 7.50 per hour really drives workers to their breaking point.

    This a huge reason why I prefer dealing with kids...granted some can be rough to deal with but they tend to be more willing to learn. An adult will act like a jerk just because... my favorite quote: It's easier to build up a child than to repair men... No child has screwed me over to the degree of most adults in my family.

    I’m a flight attendant, too! We’re fed up with disrespectful passengers. We love what we do; we’re away from our families for days at times and get passengers to their destinations to see their families, vacation, etc. To my co-worker, I commend you for standing up and speaking out!

      There is no excuse for being unruly. I got stuck on a plane for almost that long because our plane needed a new tire. The only person who was a bit of a pain was me because I needed the toilet. I was desperate, but still polite. Eventually I was let go. Other than that, there appeared to be no more disruption.

    I don't have too much experience with customer service, and my experience doesn't compare to this job. But man, jobs dealing with people every day can really get to you. People can be so cruel. A couple rude ones out of the bunch can spoil your whole outlook on society. It takes a strong and patient person to work jobs like this. I hope this guy didn't get into trouble.

      Consider yourself lucky. I’ve heard customers wish cancer on my coworkers. I’ve been called stupid and incapable of doing things because we didn’t have food available. And so much more. Its so unbelievable how entitled and evil ppl can be when they don’t get their way.

      i can chip in. i was barely 17 and working retail, it was a busy hour and my responsibility was to help customers at the changing room. also, people often used the changing room to steal clothes so if anything was stolen, it was on my paycheck. this middle aged lady kept pestering me about a reservation, and i directed her to the counter because that's not my department. i guess she didn't like waiting in a queue so she asked me to personally escort her to the front of the line. i politely told her that i cannot leave my post because nobody is available to replace me and there were 10 - 15 people at the changing room who needed my help. she didn't like that and tried to get me fired, thankfully my manager understood my situation and called her a crazy hag.

    The last 4 times I flew, I became very Ill, with the fourth time being the worst, the flight attendants brought me to front of the plane (there was a lay over, thankfully I didn't have to change planes) and they let me lie across three seats and stay there till we landed at my destination. I'm SO thankful for those 2 woman and 1 Gentleman who helped me...God, I was very sick and haven't flown since.
    Kindness is something our world needs a lot of!!

    We need to start normalizing publicly humiliating and shaming rude adult babies when it comes to them acting out towards service workers. I hope they feel ashamed and embarrassed. That flight attendant was amazing and he needs a raise!

    The rules do need to change we sat on the Tarmac for over an hour with a child who needed to pee and they would not allow us to use the bathroom the child eventually wet herself and yippee for us they took her back and checked it when we came to the door. There must be some common sense employed in some of these situations and the airlines and the flight association need to review the policies and not leave so much undue stress on the attendants and the passengers.

      Disembarkation relies so much on external factors, though: Traffic on the air, on the runway, ground services resources, etc... No crew wants to be stuck on the craft for 3 hours either.

    Airports need to come out with a “bad customer” transport. Which means while your on the tarmac, there’s a 30 minute delay for a bus to reach you and get the “bad passenger” off so everybody else can stay on and then continue the flight and get ready for take off. I hate when entitled people cause well behaving passengers to get even MORE of a delay.

      Years ago, while working at a Papa John's, one of our managers finally had enough and snapped on an extremely rich customer who was going to keep lying until she got free food.
      Now, for context, this manager had fought in Iraq and had serious ptsd and anger issues. I'm not scared of anyone, and he concerned me at times.
      He's easily the kind of person I could see coming in and shooting all of us one day.
      So, when I saw what the woman was doing, I could see on his face that he was about to snap.
      To be honest, when he finally went off on her, part of me was like, "Yes, thank God someone FINALLY did what we all want to do."
      But another part of me was sad, knowing about his background and that he was choosing to lose his job.
      But, it was very satisfying watching her get what she deserved.
      Also, I've found that those who treat service folks so poorly, most times have never worked in that industry, and therein lies the issue.

    I used to do a lot of air travel for my job for almost 30 years before I retired. It was miserable. I retired 7 years ago and have not set foot on another plane since. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. My heart goes out to anyone who has to endure this.

      I understand this well...we had a death on one of mine. We didn't know until we deplained and she wouldn't wake up. It delayed the ongoing flight and the new passengers were so disrespectful to us.
      I cried so hard and told the passengers that while they were delayed a bit they get to go home to their loved ones while this passengers family will never see her again. Some got it and some didn't.
      People loose a lot of their senses in the air.

      I had a customer say this to me and I actually let out a chuckle and said “no, you’re really not”
      Unless you’re going to pay all my bills when I’m fired for doing what you want me to do , you will always be wrong .
      I seriously hate that saying .

    The passengers sat on the tarmac for 3 hours? Did the toilets flood over? Passengers should not take out their anger on the flight attendants, but the airline should not have put passengers in that situation, either.

    I wish we could do this over the intercom at retail stores... Sometimes people need to be called out on their childish behavior. If people ( including myself) realize the way they’re acting is a problem, maybe they can work on fixing it.
