    ... Hello Fatima ... My maternal family is all from Gôa (Panjim) ... And there was a sweet that my Grandmother made and that she called "Merenda" (in Portuguese) took black beans (cowpea), palm jaggery, grated coconut ... and I don't remember anymore ... I just know that I liked it a lot ... Does Fatima know any recipe that could be "Merenda" that my Grandmother used to make?! ...😋🇵🇹

    While using jaggery, you just pounded the jaggery. In jaggery, we usually have small bits of impurities and sand particles which I don't like. It should the mood when you bite into it. So, can the jaggery be melted with little water and strained to remove these impurities and sand? Please reply. I love Goan desserts especially anything made with jaggery or palm jaggery.

    • @FatimasCuisine
      @FatimasCuisine  4 роки тому

      Hi, every jaggery does not have impurities or sand particles it depends on the quality of the jaggery, you can't use jaggery by melting it in this recipes

      U can use Jaggery powder which is easily available. And there are no impurities in that.

    These are similar if not the French stuffed crepe and fabulous they look to... I have only 4-5 sweet dishes I like and even then I eat them very rarely but when I do I go for it and then usually regret it..Watching you Fatima making these I think I would have huge regrets because I'd eat them all..I forgot about these and how fab they are with tea..You could make me eat them at breakfast stuffed with fruit..Fatima you rock :-)

      @@FatimasCuisine Yes my Mother too used to prepare your way. Whenever we have a get-together in our Parish, there's a female who prepares with rice soaked in water, then grinds it and make a batter like dosa and does the filling with coconut and jaggery. She prepares alot of quantity. It gets sold like hotcakes in no time. Lovely and Yummy. Most of the times I order for evening tea from her. My husband, daughter and myself just loves it. It melts in the mouth. If you want to do it your way Fatima then it's fine with me not a problem. Non catholics prefer with no egg in the batter. You will get more subscribers. Thx.
