Wautoma rental wow brings back memories of working on my place in Wautoma on Witters lake near the airport. Great place they saved my ass several times. Great job 👏
John Wautoma Rental is a life saver. It’s great dealing with people that really know there stuff. They also make are extremely giving to our community. During our recent straight line winds and power outage they donated generators to the restaurants to save their food from spoiling. As I always say “Pass it forward, make the world a better place”!
I have used that lift many times over!! Good people and place at Wautoma Rental to deal with! Awesome job on taking that tree down....the joys of hot weather!! Stay safe my friend
Keith, you are right my son-in-law has used a chainsaw a bit, he works for the city and does many things including tree trimming and removal when necessary. However the city has a bucket truck with hydraulic pole and chainsaws which makes the job easier. Thanks for watching and commenting
Jon we did have and use a Stihl MS192 top handle saw. It worked good for the first tank of gas but because the temperature was in the mid 90’s saw would vapor lock. We switched to a MS261 and that worked for a while but also had problems with high temps. We had other saws and were able to finish the job but it was tough. Thanks for watching and commenting
David we didn’t have much choice with the big crack. Would have loved to rope it off and pull over but too much of a risk so chunking was the way to go. Thanks for watching
Dana since the tornado and straight line winds hit us tree work and clean-up is all I’ve been doing. Its never ending! Thanks for watching and commenting
Great job getting that problem tree taken down Tony. I'm not one to get up in the air at that height, much less cut limbs off! I'm not afraid of heights, just the sudden deceleration at the bottom. Keep up the great videos.
Ha ha it’s definitely not a good feeling jerking up and down in the bucket when your up there. Not one of my most favorite tasks to do. Glad my son-in-law did all the high work. Thanks for watching
Great video Tony! Yet another thing we have in common… I made a few videos using a similar lift a few weeks back both out on a job and at my house! I was very surprised with how much I liked using it!! Have a great day
Jake I watched the video with you in trimming the tree at your house. The major difference is you’re a professional at doing this we’re as we’re only amateurs. Being up in the bucket was a bit never racking. My knees were like jello when I got off. Oh well I guess it takes some getting use to. Thanks for watching
@@TonysCoolTools Lol don’t worry, my legs were like jello as well! That lift was much less stable than the big bucket trucks I’m used to, plus being able to see down through the basket was pretty nerve wracking!! You guys did a great job 👍🏼
We have a Maple in the backyard that I’m afraid is going to split like that. I used to climb right up in a tree and bring them down when I was younger😳 Not anymore! I’m gonna be renting a lift🤣 Nice job fellas👍🏻
I tried to rent one of these a few years ago..all 3 places around me said nowhen comes to tree removals..when I politely why he said too many don't kno what they are doing and stuff hits the equipment.. I didn't argue as it only takes 1 person to wreck it for everyone else..
Yup I wouldn’t be without my top handle saw. It’s got me out of a lot of trouble especially when I pull a rookie move and pinch my bar. Makes my job a whole lot easier! Thanks for watching and commenting
Nice job Tony. It looked like it wasn't your son in law's first rodeo. I did notice on that last cut, even with the plunge cut it wanted to barber chair just before it broke loose. Glad you got it down safely. I've thought about renting a lift before, but the older I get the less I'm comfortable with heights.
Dick the lift is an awesome piece of equipment. I agree the older I get the less I want to climb a ladder or be in high places. You’re right my son-in-law does tree work for his job in the city. it’s possible the tree tried to barber chair but because of the plunge cut most of the material was removed so it had very little chance to barber chair. Thanks for watching
Two rookies up a tree in a boom, over a roof, cutting it down, at your age? Thats ingenuity, bravery, and a host of other adjectives that cant describe the good deed you have done! Congrats on the excellent video. Good thing nothing bad happened. Hats off to you both! Wautoma must really love you!
Yes Gary you’re right, at least one rookie. My son-in-law works for the city and does tree removal so I at least was with good company. As you may have noticed I only did the lower limbs the rest my son-in-law did. Safety was our 1st priority. Wautoma Rental is an awesome rental, service and tool purchase facility. The people are extremely accommodating. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice job fellas. We’ve used a similar Haulotte rental 55’ boom lift, top handle saw, MS 261, HT131 pole saw, and assorted rope rigging on many jobs. They have been just the ticket for cemetery tree removals where you have a lot of targets to avoid.
Interesting, we too used everything you mentioned except we used a echo pole saw saw so I hope you don’t hold it against me😂 Although I don’t think you’ll have to many complainers at the cemetery 🤣. Thanks for watching and commenting
Good one grant, someone had to film. I used the 65 senior excuse, anything higher then 8’ he takes care of, the stuff on the ground I’ll cut. My son-in-law did a great job on that tree! Thanks for watching and commenting

@@TonysCoolTools Also I forgot to mention, I believe those **aerial lifts* are great, but can be very dangerous. I've used them a couple times doing a carpentry job. I felt more stable in a tree with gaffs. LoL.

Tony was the bucket boom not functioning?? I noticed you two never used that function. It could have when out another 8-10 feet when he grabbed pole saw...Also the controls panel on machine would have extended boom to get the bucket at ground level. It looked like you were trying to climb on a 19 hands horse, when getting in the bucket!🤠
@@m9ovich785 That is what I was referring to...He is probably use to working in a bucket truck and doesn't have this option. I find the 55 footer just to small for most trees. Have to park right at the stump, still to short and all the debris falls on the machine without extensive rope work, but it was perfect for this short tree.👍
@@TonysCoolTools Guy hoards cats. Claims they aren't his cats. Doesn't want his neighbors killing any. Could you gather up a large quantity of sawdust and ferment it into alcohol? I suppose it would be good for a solvent in a machine shop or as flammable liquid for something else. I realize it would be poisonous to drink. Perhaps you could put it in a sprayer tank and burn tall weeds such as you grow by your garage.
