The fact that I turned around and saw Caiatl, Misraaks and Savathun all at once gave me huge chills.
And I was laughing, smiling, crying and sobbing throughout the entire cutscene.
And a reprise of Deep Stone Lullaby playing while you sit on the HELM?
That's SUPER dope.
This is the very definition of Epic, like Zavala's speech at the beginning remind me heavily of Aragon's speech during the battle the black gate in the Lord of the Rings.
this whole campaign felt like lotr. linear map starting at the d1 tower filled with greenery and light (the shire), then as you progress to the witness’ monolith everything around is dying just like the journey to mordor
looks like the Witness made the final shape in the end (light and dark merging together) but not in the way it thought.
10 years one hell of a ride for me, too. 😢

This is Bungie at its PEAK! I honestly hope a D3 is in the making. It would be incredible to experience a properly built game from them with all the lessons learned over the past 10 years.

Played destiny for the first time at beyond light and feel in love. I’ve loved the few years I’ve played and sad I missed so much. Please Bungie give us D3
Besides D1(which was great beginning to end imo) all you missed was Forsaken, vanilla D2 was bad and Shadowkeep was very lackluster. Forsaken was great and so was Black Armory and Opulance but other than that you've experienced most of the best of D2.

I started right before you did and I had a similar experience. My friend convinced me to download the game at the end of Shadowkeep and I couldn’t be happier that he did.
One of my favorite parts was the music. But more specifically that music playing when The vanguard and you are sitting on the ledge with the lanterns. That's original Destiny 1 music which is very nostalgic

I was 100% hoping after Cayde put his light into our ghost that it all of a sudden was hoping it was gonna be Nathan Fillion isntead of Nolan North.
That's what I was hoping, either that and our ghost stayed dead and we became powerful enough to siphon the light directly from the traveler. But I guess they still need the eververse money from the ghost shells
Would've been an ironic twist considering Nolan North voiced Cayde in forsaken
I thought Nathan would be the new voice, but to be fair, he might be too pricey to keep up voice acting for Destiny 😭
I've come to love ghost's voice, I feel like if it was cayde's voice after he got revived it would've undermined our ghosts sacrifice

They can’t put a 3 at the end of the story for d2. It will take away from the focus of the expansion and move your attention towards the new shiny thing.
It’s best to just appreciate where we were and how we got here. Sit and watch the aurora. It’s pretty.
Seriously this was super epic and I was recently on Character AI where I add a WAAAGH lead by Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka after just to give the Witness a proper krumpin'.

I was 10 years old when I played the destiny 1 beta. This is insane to watch.
I think this was the closest I’ve been to dying from overstimulation. There was not enough space in my brain for all the dopamine rushes

Don't worry, the dam let loose as soon as Ghost dropped for me man, I knew what was going on before it happened and shit still hurted
I teared up the first time he passed. But this actually hurts my heart to see him go away again
I love how every youtuber i watched so far didn't notice the banner spot at the beginning
Cayde bringing back our Ghost made me ugly cry, which is more than I can say when it comes to the Destiny games. I do think this moment is the cherry on top, but the DLC is definitely Bungie’s Magnum Opus.

As a 10 year Destiny veteran myself I was so pleased with this ending, the whole expansion was a showing that Bungie actually learned from their mistakes. Obviously everyone wishes the servers and cutscene glitches didn't happen, but at the end of the day that stuff happens in games especially on the first day. I felt so genuinely pleased with this ending and I have to be honest I cried hard during all the cutscenes since this is my favorite franchise and to see the saga I started playing when I was 14 finally end it just hits you hard. I love Destiny and always will through thick and thin and I cannot wait to see what these next 10 years bring us!
