Same here and this is one of the best of em. So many of them were trying to pop off one-liners trying their best to be funny, ruining the moment, but this guy just had the best reaction ever. I hope you and your wife had a blast with Excision!
This finale was perfect, I was speechless to the very end. Bungie did a fantastic job with this finale. 10 years of story all brought together in one moment, truly amazing.
Great final i agree but this dont remove from my memory bungie trash things they do sorry after this finale destiny 2 going to dead game not fast but this is the end.
@@razor15593Godzilla had a stroke trying to read that but i understand what your saying. The game definitely wont die, the episodes are very intriguing and will keep players like me around until they end or Destiny 3
I cried like a baby with my ghost and when I thought I got it together the d1 music played and I lost it again. I’ve played the mission twice now and even typing I’m tearing up. They knocked it out of the park
I think every Destiny player that have been heavily involved with the game in the past 10 years, with all the bonds we forged with these characters, all the alliances with what we called ennemies, the development of the characters trough all the seasons, the missions, the raids, the dungeons, the radio talks, the cutscenes, the items descriptions, the hours of lore videos some of us have spent on youtube because we loved this universe so much, the friends we met along the way, the memories, all of this to finally see this big forehead motherfucker getting kamehameha'd by an army of guardians and our best allies supporting us, even freaking Savathun was here taking the win against The Witness ! I was like a kid looking at the battlefield and being amazed by what I was seeing ! I know exactly how you felt, because it was the same for me my brother in Light and Darkness ! Peak ending to a saga that had its lows and highs, but in a way it made it even more exciting and full of emotions.
D1 Beta Vet here, I was 10 when I first saw some video about the game on youtube so I decided to try it out, here I am 20 years old finishing this saga. I feel the same way you do man, theres no words to describe how I'm feeling, even with its ups and downs I've grown up with this game and something about it is just truly special. I still have the old poster hanging up in my room that you got alongside the game when you pre ordered it through gamestop, I don't plan on taking down ahah
I was 13 man when I started D1 on day 1 man, when you grow up with it it's like the story actually happened ya know? We were so young experiencing the beginning that the people and the places left actual impressions on us.
D1 Beta Vet here as well, I was 16 when I started out. Saw the same video most likely and did the same, I hit 26 a few days after TFS dropped and couldn't have been happier / conflicted that after so long the saga of Light and Dark has come to an end. This has been a fun ride, with some amazing fireteam members through the years. Bungie went out with an emotional bang on this dlc as they did with Halo Reach. Might be a different team now but they never fail to make amazing stories that suck you into the world that they create. It's kinda funny though. We started out as new lights, not knowing where the game would go to now where our characters have grown with us in each triumph. From Crota all the way to The Witness we did this as a community, through the best times and the worst times we did it. We made Lance proud in this final dlc, we finished it for him and every friend or family member we lost that played it and loved it.
saw this recommended and watched it. im SO glad someone was crying the way i cried. this DLC made me cry like 5 separate times, not including this finale. i remember playing the d1 beta with my best friend - and now we're here 10 years later. like WHAT? bungie really did amazing on this DLC. gonna cry again
This game is my life. Half of my existence spent in this incredible, beautiful and lovingly assembled universe. It has meant so much to be here, and to be part of it. Per audacia ad astra Guardians. Whatever comes our way, we triumph; its what we're made to do
Now this... THIS is the kind of emotion I wanted to see in a reaction post. lol Start to finish, I loved every minute of this. lmao (Currently watching you "DA!-DA!-DA!"-ing your melee out. XD) Consider me subbed. o7
Felt the same way fellow guardian! D1 Beta Player myself. Emotions hit hard as hell. Took a screen shot of the final seen to make as a wallpaper lol. Looking forward to the upcoming acts, which will obviously deal with more pressing threats, and obviously came out of the traveler. Seeing stuff on the season pass kind of shows what we are about to face so get ready for evil can never be destroyed only contained or held back!
Wish we could’ve seen the fight in the cutscene and wish cayde could’ve still been here but what a beautiful ending! I grew up with this game and it was a part of my life, it feels good and hurts seeing this ending but great video bro!
Destiny 2 is my favorite game. Destiny is my favorite franchise. Despite the lows, the highs are, thus far for me, unassailable. This finale was an amazing, perfect ending to this first saga. To all the Guardians who stayed for the ride, we did it. May we all be ready for what comes next, and ill see you there.
Hey brother, fellow D1 veteran here since beta. Just wanted to say that everything you felt in those final moments were fwlt with me as well. Wouldn't mind getting a raid or dungeon with you sometime in the future. Keep up the hard work Guardian.
Think about this for a moment. Back in Season of Dawn we visited our own grave. This moment was the moment we were supposed to die. But the wish Crow made to bring back Uldren gave us a second chance at life and prevented that fate from becoming reality.
I haven’t been playing Destiny very long, maybe only about two and a half years, and even then, I didn’t play very often. Had a few friends who had bought me all the expansions for my birthday, so I played them all, and fell so in love with the story and the characters. I was just as much in utter shambles, bawling over this damn game while doing this final mission. It’s never been a perfect game, it’s incredibly flawed and the devs have made a lot of questionable decisions, but god, this final expansion and this final mission just utter PERFECTION. It hurt, absolutely, but I’m at peace with it. And Cayde… he loved us so much. As much as he wanted to return to the Light, it was also his act of love and care for us - whether you wanna interpret that love as familial, platonic, or romantic is entirely up to you, it feels familial to me. Make your own fate, everyone, and shoot for the stars. ♥️ (Also, was joking with my friends that maybe part of Cayde resides in our Ghost now, and that we’re gonna pull Ghost out one of these days and hear the two of them just having a full blown conversation 🤣)
So. No Hawthorne. Whos Hawthorne. Not someone in this game. Not a key person in the red war campaign. Joke aside this was the most hype shit ive experience in destiny.
She was there! 0:45 She's being blocked by Nelstar but you could see her poncho. I noticed her right away because for whatever reason, her eyes are glowing red. You can see her behind Ana Bray on rhe right side of the screen at 0:56, (two people back).
Just casually checking UA-camr reactions to make sure me and my wife aren't the only ones who bawled ours eyes out
Nope and I'm man enough to say I cried too
didnt out right cry, but it definitely gut punched me twice at the end
I choked at first but I think the tears came like a waterfall on my way to and back from the store. Deep Stone didn't help at all during the car ride
Same here and this is one of the best of em. So many of them were trying to pop off one-liners trying their best to be funny, ruining the moment, but this guy just had the best reaction ever. I hope you and your wife had a blast with Excision!
Zavala really hit the “Avengers! Assemble”
I had to explain the entirety of Destiny and this finale as "The MCU and I just played End Game" to a non-gaming friend
@@Nelstar15 I wonder if this means that Echoes is going to be our "No Way Home"
Better then that
25:50 - "There you are" is what ghost first says when he finds you at the beginning of the game. What an emotional sledgehammer to the chest
Hearing the D1 tower bgm again hit me with *such* a wave of memories.
I cried... obviously

I cried before the mission!!!!
Caydes last words hit me like a bullet to the heart. And I’m a Warlock!
Zavala's quote about it not feeling different hit me hard. I was there for my midnight release of D1, I cried and it took it all in. We won.

It was truly everyone! Such an end game moment
absolutly not ashamed to say I satrted tearing up
I started crying when our guardian pleaded for our ghost back lol
This one hurt, bad.
Yea, the most emotional the guardian has ever been
The end of D2…. Perfection, on to D3.. but feel ya man cried even watching you react after seeing this myself…
I'm not convinced we're going to 3, but I am convinced we all cried today.

I'm not crying. You're crying.
For all the dumb shit Bungie did through the years, I wanted to stick it out til the end. Im glad I did. This....was worth it.
Ice titan zavala was not something I knew I needed. But then with the "council of cold" being 3 hunters, they could use a titan there :P
It freakin PUMPED ME UP to see that stasis
I think most people can agree excision is one of if not the best of Destiny’s best missions.
Man D1 music always makes me cry 😭
I heard it and I lost my shit
Got the reference
ARAGOR ARMY VS SAURON ARMY
FOR FRODO ( FOR TRAVELER ) !
as a 28 year old gamer, this is probably the only game that's actually made me cry. Bungie definitely went off on this expansion.
Zavala Stasis Avengers Assemble ! ... it will be memorable
I was brought to tears but ngl I felt it more for Ghost because I was ready to move on from Cayde, because I came to terms with his death
God dude the music really only needed the one note to start the tears man
i hope they make a exotic or just a new super that lets us do the stasis thundercrash thing zavla did
it's pretty much the stasis titan melee
he did the same flying and everything
It just looks like the heavy attack for titan
It's called the behemoth super, lol.
The comparison to ICC is very much apt... I feel like Arthas (pre-Lich King) and Zavala would be friends
Xivu Arath may be the next
