On one side, David said that the theatrical version was his directors cut, through and through (even though it was shorter and cuts some scenes), his vision of what the movie should be, and that's what Ends will continue from. On the other they're making the extended cut the main version everywhere on digital, the dvd release, even on UA-cam, with the theatrical just mentioned as a bonus version on the BluRay, not being on digital on iTunes, Amazon, UA-cam Movies etc.
I hope they change their minds about the time jump. It really doesn’t make any sense given that Laurie would likely go right to his house after the phone call
It does make sense because it doesn’t take place the same night anymore . It wouldn’t make sense (if they had kept the original ending) to have Laurie say “I’m coming for Michael “ just for it to be 4 years later. In the original ending Laurie knows that Michael killed Karen in this ending she doesn’t. Plus Laurie is injured and she got out of surgery so she would obviously get fucked up by Michael, so it’s good that it’s a time jump because she has time to heal and Michael has time to regain his strength. So the phone call your talking about isn’t the canon ending anymore sadly

Can't wait for this to come out in the complete box set (hopefully) Been looking for a box set for Halloween for years and can't find any, so hopefully when the story ends it'll be released as a complete collection set for me to binge watch it 😁

The scene where he kills the mob will be longer and more gruesome. There will also probably be scenes that add information we missed in the theatrical cut. There will also be more kills and what not. Also will probably show how he covered his fingers

@@tayc9542 it's an EXTENDED ending more of the crazy night in haddonfield it's just two minutes long the time jump can still happen even with the extended ending included cause the extended ending changed nothing to the story- they didn't make reshoots they didn't cut anything -the extended ending will be on the OFFFICIAL DVD release as a part of the movie and every fan will watch it
@@The_HitchHikerrr well let me start off by saying the “throwback” shots of the past were phenomenal it made me feel like we were moving in the right direction but to me the downfall was the writing and the disorganization of every kill and the meaning behind every kill. Also The way the mob scenes were filmed felt more like a combat movie then an actual horror movie. The acting was not to the level of Jamie Lee’s acting sorry she is a great actress so iii expect other actors to hold their weight. iii am a huge “Halloween” fan so the truth is my perspective is from a fans and not a critic. Maybe in a few years a new found love can be formed for the film the way iii found some enjoyment in 5 & 6 or the Rob Zombie films or even Resurrection but they are still not top tier Horror films.
