- For this video I am going to be unboxing the latest 4K Blu-ray collection of Halloween from Scream Factory. In this set you get Halloween 6 the Curse of Michael Myers both theatrical and producer cut. You also get Halloween H20 and Halloween Resurrection.

@@millerman9991 Also I was very tempted to pick up all of the Halloween 4k releases. The only issue I have is that most of the special features are on the standard discs and I don't have an Multi Region player yet. I could have just bought them anyway for when I eventually do own one but I opted for the standard French Pentalogie boxset and the triple set of the other 3 that is Region Free. When I do finally get an Multi Region player I'm sure that they'll be other 4k releases by then. I have a strict budget every month that I put aside for movies so I'm more into collecting movies that I want to add to my collection. These 4k releases would take up too much of a chunk of that monthly budget. I'm hoping my boxset of Halloween Haunt and Tales of Halloween turns up next week. Also I ordered off Arrow UK for the first time. I ordered Demons 1 & 2 4k Limited edition Hardback Slipcover versions and The Hills Have Eyes 4k Limited Edition. They sent the standard Demons 4k. Customer service were excellent though. After providing photos to prove it they didn't even hesitate and refunded me and told me to keep it as an apology. Managed to get the Limited Edition from HMV instead. Sorry for the long message.
To be honest I actually don't own a region free player myself. A lot of the features that you get with these editions I already have them on the midnight Classics Collection. To be honest I only pick them up for the 4k but I completely understand when it comes to budgeting yourself and I think that's a healthy way of doing things. I've never ordered directly from Arrow myself and I probably should do it sometime in the future and I did hear great things about there customer service. You will have to let me know what you think of tales of Halloween and haunt when you finally get it through the door and please don't apologise for leaving such a long comment. I appreciate the fact that you did
Hi Keith, nothings more important than family, I've lost both my parents in the last few years and it hurts like hell, but I've a partner and daughter to keep me sane, I honestly find films really help, to sit and watch a film keeps me sane too. Anyway love to Ellen and yourself. She's lucky to have you to help her get through, she will but its hard.

H20 is a gem I think , bit of a Easter egg , the car Janet Leigh ( Jamie lees mother ) drives in the movie is a exact replica of the one she drove in her famous role as the escaping secretary prior to meeting Norman Bates in Hitchcock’s Physco , and they gave it the same registration NFB 418 !
She also was in another favourite of mine “ The Fog” along side her daughter !

I instantly noticed the car when I seen this movie for the first time. It's so unbelievably iconic and the way they handle it I thought was fantastic. Great little unboxing vid. I still dont have the original film on 4k. 30 quid or more is the usual price on amazon recently. No stock of the UK version. Think im gonna have to just stump up for the US version. Lol

Halloween ends ...i still cant process what that mess was; just blew my mind how something so bad was not only written, produced and released. I think its now easily the worst in the series.
I'm actually still in shock myself. It's amazing how one movie can destroy a trilogy. I would nearly watch H20 instead of Halloween ends just so I can say I got a good battle between Laurie and Michael in that movie
@@millerman9991 Who's idea was it to add a new character out of nowhere and spend over an hour with them while Jamie was almost non existing. When you consider this is her last ever Halloween. She spends the entire first movie building a fortress and training herself only to go out with a whimper in this one and a terrible fight also it blows my mind. The first one is more a proper ending then this garbage.
I've said this to a few people. It never felt like a concluding chapter to a trilogy. It felt almost like a spin-off movie about a character that I really couldn't care less about. There is too much of a disconnect between the first two movies and this one. It's criminal how bad it is

I've been waiting for a good unboxing of this particular set, and it's no surprise to have found that here. I'm in agreement, the artwork on the box is just plain lazy, newspaper cuttings? Really? The covers on the films look amazing, though, as you say. I saw Halloween Ends the other night and thought, "Keith is going to hate this", and it sounds like I'm not too wrong! More importantly than the films, I hope you and your fiance are feeling supported and loved in this challenging time. All the best from me and mine, to you and yours.
Hey Otis. When you think of everything they could do when it comes to artwork for a Halloween franchise and the best they can come up with is a newspaper clipping. I will never fully understand the people that are in charge of these things and why they think it was the right choice when it comes to artwork. Unfortunately I hated every single moment of Halloween ends. It never felt like a concluding chapter to the Halloween franchise. It felt like a stand-alone movie and I will never fully understand why they done that. I do have a set coming, i actually don"t mind the artwork on the slipbox as i"m looking at it, but the quality of the slipbox is flimsey, but at least Scream Factory kept to previous artwork & packaging, H20 is 5th fav from the franchise itself.
I"m the same with you on "Halloween Resurrection" one of the biggest piles of mess for a movie, & it amazes me show bad & wrong Rick Rosenthal can get it wrong after my fav sequel "Halloween 2" Take good care of yourself Keith, & great guest spot on Playtendo"s live stream 👍

It's such a shame that Rick Rosenthal got it so wrong with Resurrection especially after directing my favourite sequel as well. Even now when I'm holding this release I still think the cover looks like a fake and you're absolutely correct the only reason why they done it like this is for resurrection to sell a few copies. The weird thing is I probably still would have picked it up even if it was done separately. Just so I could say I completed the collection.

Interesting timing. I just received my new book 'Halloween Illustrated' published by Printed in Blood. It's a hard cover of Halloween 1978 novelization with a lot of illustrations for the story. It's super awesome. I also have all 8 Halloween movies released by Scream! which pair well with my Halloween collection of blu rays also by Scream! Good review.
I own all of those scream factory Editions myself. As a matter of fact I own that many versions of Halloween it's borderline crazy at this point. Hands down one of my favorite horror franchises and I really need to check out that Halloween printed in blood hard cover edition that you are talking about. Sounds right of my street. This release feels so lazy to me. I absolutely love this franchise and this feels wrong. I hate 6 and Resurrection, only like H2o. But forced to buy the 2 turd films. Had to laugh at your description of Resurrection 🤣🤣 Class review and always honest.

They're trying to say it's to do with legal reasons to why this came in a set instead of individually. To me it sounds like absolute bullshit. I have absolutely no intention of ever watching Resurrection on 4k. But I did want to complete the collection so in a very strange way I'm happy to have it. The Curse of Michael Myers is very average but I do enjoy the Producers Cut a lot more. As always thanks again for stopping by and checking it out my friend

I honestly can't talk about Halloween Ends anymore that's how disappointed I was with it. Halloween H20 is a decent movie and like I said in the video it feels a bit more like a Scream movie than a Halloween movie and that's not a bad thing. But if you're looking for a movie that has a good conclusion when it comes to Laurie and Michael H20 is the movie for you. Trust me when I say do not waste your time with Resurrection. If you thought Halloween ends was bad wait till you see that movie. The good thing about this is that we don't have to watch a review about these movies haha. I like that the boxset is consequent with the artwork. But to be honest. I don't like the artwork of alle the movies. And especially with H20 en Ressurection this Scream Factory artwork totally looks out of place. It doesn't match with the movies at all. And Myers looks stupid on almost all of the SF hard cases..But in the end, it doesn't really matter like a musician once sang.

I do enjoy the 2018 Halloween but I still don't understand why they ignored part 2. Well I do understand they wanted to remove the brother and sister dynamic but every time I watch these movies as far as I'm concerned there still brother and sister.
I never want to put anyone off watching a movie but I did watch Halloween ends and I thought it was awful. I cannot get over how bad it is and it really is a slap in the face to us Halloween fans. But please Lee don't let me put you off. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

@@millerman9991 The only time I paid slightly over the retail on eBay, was for Arrow’s Battle Royale Blu Ray box set, but you’re talking maybe £15 max. I don’t regret it as it’s one of my favourites in my collection. Actually like it more than the 4K set (that I also purchased!).
But overall I stay clear of the people on eBay that take advantage of collectors like us!
I think it’s a solid film and works paired with the original for a different take. Kills and Ends (from what I’ve been told?) were massive missed opportunities!

"Curse" came out when I was 10, so I hold it at a higher level than most. There's something about horror movies u see around that age that just stick with u. Like ur old enough to follow the plot but young enough to still get scared to death so ur getting the best of both worlds. As opposed to seeing the first Halloween at the age of 6, but not understanding what's going on till later in life, but it too late by then cuz u know all the scary parts!
I have to admit everything you said makes complete sense and I really do relate to it as well. The Curse of Michael Myers is not one on my favourite Halloween movies but I still rather enjoy it. I watched the Producers cut of it again the other night and I think I might start going back to the theatrical release. There's a bit too much of that cult story that I don't particularly like in the Producers cut. It must be at least 5 years since I've actually watched the theatrical release. I think I'm due a rewatch

Nice to see you completed the Halloween scream factory set aswell, don't you think it's funny aswell that on resurrection box it's the only myers without a weapon? Not surprised you seem to agree on Halloween ends and I didn't ask you about it incase you hadn't seen yet. I'm putting it below resurrection and I still haven't calmed down a week later, at least I can have a laugh with resurrection... Absolutely shambolic film and I even went and sold 2018 and kills to cex as I don't want that trilogy in my collection and will never watch them again. Even better when we watched it the sound was often in the wrong channels and you'd hear center channel on side left or right or maybe even behind. Couldn't even hear what they said in the bar.... Honestly Steve I'm still in shock when it comes to how bad Halloween ends was. I can't put it a head of Resurrection as my worst Halloween movie but it's not a million miles away from it. I can't believe some of the things they done in this movie and the biggest problem I had with it was it never felt like a concluding chapter. It was more like a spin-off movie of a character that I couldn't give two shits about. I'm praying now that this is not going to be the last Halloween movie because what a sour way to end it. Great to hear that I'm not the only one who had audio issues with this movie. That scene in the bar you are absolutely correct I could not hear a single word they said. It's an absolute shambles of a movie and I'm not sure if I can give this one a second chance
@@millerman9991 I saw Zavvi show the steelbooks and I would say to them no thanks, I won't even take it for free. I'm just keeping the first two originals now as cannon and maybe even 4 as a dark end to it without 5 . Too many clowns now doing the writing and imagine this fool is doing exorcist aswell.. Should have asked for a partial refund at the cinema or a free refreshments for the next film due to that sound. I'm getting really annoyed at newcomers damage controlling this garbage aswell and normies with bad taste. I put up a post on Instagram of a fan film that's much better if you get time to give it a look, it's 45 mins.
What made me laugh about Zavvi is the fact that they brought out two steelbooks that look equally as bad. Normally I'm a sucker when it comes to anything Halloween and steelbooks but zavvi can go stick these right up their ass. I guarantee you Amazon Italy will bring out a different Steelbook and I'll pick it up there.

Some of these guys have more creativity and obvious more respect for the films than that clown Gordon Greene. If you are picking up ends I hope you can get it cheap as possible, it doesn't even deserve a dvd release let alone steelbook.

Unfortunately they never done a box set for the first five and I think the reason why they done it this way with the three is so they could sell Resurrection because I guarantee you if they sold these separately they wouldn't have made anything off Resurrection. Hey Clive. I honestly do not know what's going on with Halloween and why we can't get a release of it over here. Well I do have a theory to why we don't because I think scream factory own the rights to it and that probably would explain why we never seen a release over hear. You can actually get a beautiful edition of the Halloween collection from Italy. Midnight Classics is the company and it's a fantastic set. Definitely worth checking out
A lot of 3rd party labels that are given the rights to sell other companies work under their name, don’t sell in other regions. It’s unclear why they don’t do that, but they don’t. Rights are another thing too, probably. Look at how many companies own the Halloween movies. Universal owns 2 and 3 and the current 3 movies, Ancor Bay owns 1, 4 and 5, Dimension Films owns 6-8 and the 2 Rob Zombie films. So about 3 different companies owns 13 different movies.
It's amazing that we were able to get a complete Halloween collection together when you do consider how many companies own them.

Out of the 12 Halloween films released there are only 7 on Steelbook. I bought the 7 at a ridiculous price. Need 5 to complete the collection sadly the price of this collection in the video has skyrocketed in Price from £87 for used set to well over £100 I can't justify paying that much out especially when 2 of the worst films are in the set being Curse Of Michael Myers & Resurrection. With the Producers Cut of Cursed being the absolute worst in the franchise, the reason for its existence the Producer thought Donald Pleasance was a "Boring actor" yeah! Arguably the most iconic actor from the franchise was "boring".
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there 13 Halloween movies and not only that but believe it or not I have 10 of them on Steelbook. Actually correction some of them are metal pack editions which are almost the same as steelbooks. I have to respectfully disagree with you when it comes to Donald Pleasence. He is such a wonderful actor and a Legend.

But I HATE Curse Of Michael Myers for 2 reasons, what the producer said about Pleasance & the film went too far off the wall with the curse being pretty much a crap tattoo

Most of the special features are on the blu ray discs that sucks why not on the 4k disc so uk can enjoy the special features. Im not sure who would buy a 4k set to watch blu ray discs.
Unfortunately it's one of those things when it comes to 4k. 9 out of 10 times the special features will always be on the Blu-ray disc.
@@millerman9991After some browsing I found apple tv have these 3 movies in a 4k bundle for 14.99 epic value. Saves me paying scalpers over a hundred quid.
A lot of people buy them to future proof when they don't have a 4K TV/player. It's nice for those people to have new transfers on a Blu-Ray disc.
I also have a plasma TV that I like to use quite a bit, so it's nice to have new transfers to use there.
The box is so pathetic and flimsy because Scream Factory (rightly, I think) imagined that everybody would just throw the box out anyway and display the individual cases with the rest of the set.
It's a horrible box. To be honest this set feels rushed. When you see no Dolby Atmos on any of the movies where the first five did and I don't think the picture quality looks as good either as the previous five. So yes it comes across as a very rushed release. Still nice to complete the collection

I came here to see if a box set was worth buying just because I want a 4-disc version of The Curse of Michael Myers due to that film’s troubled production.
