This dude is a fuckin LEGEND!
Hes very passionate about engines its clear
I wish he was close to me I'd definitely let him work on my Fords
👍👍
6.7 not but Toyota make all great engines
From one technician to another, I'm impressed.
I find it entertaining how much content these trucks can provide haha
Seems like a pretty rare thing. Never heard of that before
I’ve seen it happen on brand new equipment just luck of the draw.
Not that rare at all
Glad he caught that on a no start.
Any diesel out there can get destroyed by a stuck open injector burning a hole in the pistons, seen it on cummins a lot. Change fuel filters is a must
Keeping your fuel system clean is the number one thing on a diesel over oil changes too I think if your gonna slack on any maintenance it would be an oil change over a fuel
Filter for sure if u can’t swing the money
Burning a hole in the pistons? Wouldn't it hydrolock? I could be wrong because diesel is kinda whack, gas is much simpler to understand.
@@cbruno12180 I agree, keep water out of the fuel and contaminates
@@johnhunter7244 no it wouldn't hydrolock because the pressure causes the diesel to combust, whereas with gas if it's too rich itll not ignite with the spark plug.
Diesels end up literally drilling a hole and makes it look like someone plasma cut the piston. Of course if you have an ability to monitor egts then you can hopefully catch it early on seeing your egts being 1400f degrees plus haha
@@nativeoutdoors1780 what I've read it sounds like in diesels egt is a big deal but gasoline engines are perfectly happy running hotter than diesels as long as there is no knock. I guess I really just don't understand diesel.
Fuel return volume while cranking with the injectors unplugged
Thanks for that information..
Sometimes you just have to dig into the engine and see for yourself. 😳
Maybe driving around with 1 stuck injector for awhile and wouldn’t start once another stayed open?
Well that would be from an internal diesel injector deposit and there is the possibility of inhibiting the deposits chemically. There is also a solution to reverse the effects of the iDiD without replacing the injectors. Be glad to have a conversation with you.
Is there not an issue with fuel leaking past the rings, diluting the oil? Seen it before on a Cummins, and the only code was for high crankcase pressure. Pulled the dipstick and was several quarts over full. Determining a stuck injector causing a crankcase pressure problem with no other codes was a nightmare.
5.9 cummins common rail same way. We have to plug each injector line one at a time till we found the bad injector
Never underestimate Ford's ability to stick junk parts under the hood of their cars and trucks.
As long as it's done by a union employee.
That engine is built by non union mexican employees in mexico
Higher engine oil level due to fuel saturation could be a sign maybe as well
Dealing with this right now except number 3 injector is returning all of its fuel back to the tank. Same deal p0093 and low rail pressure
Money Can Fix Any Machine !
Just had one in with one stuck injector. Truck sounded like it had a bad engine with a loud rod knock except it was fuel knock. Pulled each glow plug out until we found the leaking injector. Starting to see this now as the 6.7 becomes older with more miles.
I thought those were watch screwdrivers lmao
TDI 😮
Both codes point to your problem
Cummins does Not have Glow Plugs.
I like this guy
Ha good luck getting new glow plugs
As a Tacoma owner I didn’t even know this was a thing
Bad fuel. I always use hot shots secret EDT. 4 oz for my 48 gallon tank. Keep everything lubed and added cetane. 😊
How many miles did it have?
Rare if they’re not in a mk6 gti
Seems to be you got a large portion of your videos are about something wrong with the 6.7 Ford diesels, do these motors have a lot of problems?
This code sucks to diagnosis, pinpoint test is not helpful at all
I never thought to pull the glow plugs out and check carbon deposits on them, thanks for the tip dude
You're too young to know that much technical stuff, you must have started your training in kindergarten..... great stuff, you're an asset to your employer and us mechanics.!!! Thanks!
Man I had a whole bank do this so bad fuel was pushed passed the glow plugs and popped the harness out lol 😂.
That much fuel loss and it was not hydrolocking
You got sticking injectors like that your fuel system has been contaminated
Since I could see you know a lot about this stuff let me ask you about the 60 can you make it a decent motor with upgrades
Wonder if I have a leaking injector causing my cylinder contribution code
If you have two stuck open injectors at the same time ya got bad fuel.
Why buy them
Give it a week and that cp4 will be dead, since it wasnt able to prime
Videos don’t exactly make u want to buy a power smoke
Spin over but will not crank? What? Cranking is spinning over.
MORE PROBLEMS FROM FORD.. ...MAKES ME WANT TO PUT A CUMMINS OR SOME TYPE OF. RELIABILE ENGINGE TO REPLACE THE JUNK
is ICP injector short for insane clown posse injector? 🤔
Message to ALL FORD mechanics. Double your rates.
The manufacturers are selling inferior products and charging full price for garbage. YOU will be irreplaceable.
Millions of Ford vehicles would overload the salvage yards without You.
Wish you told me this a freakin month ago! Im over here starting a mobile truck mechanic business after only 4 years of experience… 😅
Im good with the DD the Cummins isx/ism/isb
But dang ol fords been kicking my ass SEND HELP😊
I got a 5.1 inch "power stroke" my girl probably wishes it was 6.7... LMAO
She's probably getting a 7.3 somewhere else
Seems like these Fords have tons of problems
I have 18 450 new cp4 all 8 injectors all new from Ford got fuel to pump but still will not leave pump ..........HELP
He almost sounded Australian
Yea you're right, that's an accent leftover from English immigrants.Stuck with it myself cause my folks settled in NC😀
@@kennyscarborough9374 🤣
What makes the 6.7 high output different from the 6.7?
Tuning, I believe
Transmission
6.7 Cummins, transmission... you are mixing 6.7 Powerstroke and 6.7 Cummins
BUILT ford broken
And what manufacturer isn’t junk?
Are you ase certified
Archoil fuel additive will prevent this issue.
From one tech to another.... Why are you wearing shorts? Do you like throwing your leg up on that wash sink to clean your knee's haha.
It would spin over but not crank? Haha what does that even mean
How many injector tips have you seen corroded away to the point the tip ruptures from the high fuel pressure causing a extended crank or no start? Have seen it a lot here in the north. Have had to replace all 8 injectors on some trucks because of it. If I were to bet on it, I would suspect that is what you have going on. From one ford senior master to another, greetings from Minnesota.
Get a haircut bro
What this guy is really trying to say on his videos is ..
Don’t buy a POS diesel!’!!’ They are a maintenance disaster
