  • Did Nikola Tesla conceptualize the smartphone? Could H.G. Wells really have seen the A-bomb coming? Yes, maybe it's no surprise - but some of history's greatest minds have made some truly stunning predictions.

No one predicted people getting fat from junk food, except in dystopian literature. 😁

You showed the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The computer running the place the astronauts are in goes mad and kills most of them. The dangers of AI, long before The Terminator films.

What time like does space Odyssey take place though?

Yes we do! Edison was not onky a thief, he may have been a murderer as well. The TRUE creator of moving pictures disappeared on a train to meet with financial backers. Wouldnt you know that immediately after he disappeared, Edison got a patent on and introduced the movie projector. He was absolutely ruthless and scandalous! 😊

He also hated Nickola Tesla, who was a lot cleverer than him.

What's scary is that Einstein said that he wouldn't know what World War III be fought with but he knew World War IV would be fought with sticks and Stones. And we almost did get World War III but thank god the Russian soldier stopped it and before that the cuban missile crisis almost saw nuclear warfare. If that did happen 21st century wouldn't be alive with us and rather going back to primal starting a different war with primitive tools. Einstein's vision legit almost came true

I was born in '69 so the Halloween special was like normal at the time to me I guess I just wanted to see KISS but looking back 70s TV was such a bizarro fever dream in general I remember my parents saying "well that was bizarre"
That was an odd time kind of between eras I remember my parents talking openly about gay people or being gay or this guy or that guy was gay like it was no big deal "some men prefer to be with other men romantically & just want to be friends with girls & a person's sex life & what consenting adults do in private is no body's business" ( My wonderful enlightened Mom's exact words) Everyone knew witch celebs were gay & the celebs knew everyone knew they were gay & Everybody knew they knew we knew......but officially coming out was still guaranteed career suicide
    Definitely an odd transitional time

The average woman is still only 5'4"? I'm 63 years old and I'm 6'1" and my 48-year-old niece is at least 2" taller than I am. She is a step-niece, so it's not genetic. We share no familial bloodlines.

We don't consider Edison a thief?

He was a thief, that's a fact. Much of what he stole was from Nikolai Tesla. Tesla said he didn't mind Edison stole his ideas. It bothered him that Edison didn't have his own ideas.
