    "You'll never forget your mistakes." 😂😂😂 I feel so SEEN! You're absolutely right, though- no matter what your natural talent, you WILL make mistakes when you're learning a new skill! This is a hard pill to swallow for perfectionists like me, but reality is what is. Thank you for encouraging us not to give up. The plaid luggage looks great! 🙂 (P.S. My craft scissors have glue on them, too. I hate getting my fingers sticky, and the scissors are *right there*... I have to clean them off regularly.)

    I think these are my faves of the luggage so far! I love the way the mod podge makes the plaid look like treated canvas. So realistic! Well, I did try to make a doctor bag using kid leather from an old glove and a small clip. It didn't turn out so well😂 I WILL keep trying. Thanks for filming close up on how you cut and wrapped the corners. Very helpful❤😊

      Glad you like them! The plaid was FUN! I Love to just mix things up with to use of my techniques! I normally would save the of use this technique for furniture! Yes keep trying! SO much of making miniatures is PRACTICE! Keep in mind I have been making miniatures since I was 7 yrs old! LOL! So it's like second nature to me Now.So give yourself a chance, this is new for you! Fun FACT....I made another doctor bag myself, I think I'll show it during Final episode of this series!

    These are so cute!I never considered Modpodge as a sealer for fabric because when I did use it on paper, it became tacky....any experience with that?

    • @littlegretchensworkshop7665
      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  6 місяців тому

      Yes Kim, with paper it acts differently because it has no where to go. With fabric it absorbs into the fibers and binds them together. It actually has a leathery or vinyl feeling when it dries on fabric. brush some on a small piece of fabric to test to see how it reacts, l think you will be impressed! Let me know you result.

    I need to make a briefcase can you offer any advice?

    • @littlegretchensworkshop7665
      @littlegretchensworkshop7665  Рік тому

      Hi Rita! To make a brief case, (which would be smaller version of a suitcase) just use same assembly techniques but use the coffee stir sticks instead of popsicle/craft sticks. Instead of hinges you could use straps as hinges. Let me know how it goes!
