I got rid of social media back in 2015, and the people around me fell off. They were surprised and concerned for my mental health because I deleted my social media. But they didn't text or call me. They just drifted away. It's really easy to know who my friends are now in 2023, it's the people who call and text me. I still get some shocked responses from people when I tell them I have no social media, it's really funny.
