Crying in the Netherlands in bed listening to this because I have finally fulfilled my bucket list dream of collabbing with you. You are so underrated And I am going to play your tracks as long as I dj. Btw I ended with this in my set in the Netherlands this weekend. You’ll see a video soon on UA-cam I hope haha. You’re incredible and I am so happy to know you. Hope to meet BOTH of you IRL soon! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man, Theølogy, now you've got _me_ tearing up, reading your comment - thank you so much for this opportunity. It was a genuine privilege to be able to work with you, both in a personal and musical sense. Your extensive skill and experience as a musical pioneer, electronic producer, and intent listener really took this piece to the next level. I'm picturing a scenario where the WIP track gets thrown into one of the Fairy Fountains in a Link to the Past, and a voice echoes out: "I like an earnest person. I will mix something better in return," and BOOM - the integrated result comes out sparkling like the Golden Sword! A cheesy analogy, maybe, but I've been waiting to say that! 😁 For real, you worked some kind of literal magic in terms of sound balancing, EQ, splicing, and all the other detail work that went into making our tracks coalesce so well. It means more than I can say that you're eager to play my tracks in future sets - thank you so much!! And I am just smiling ear-to-ear at reading that you closed your set in the Netherlands with this track - it's a real honor to be a part of the song that ends what I'm sure was an incredibly exciting and euphoric show, and I'm looking forward to seeing that when it's posted! Again, thank you for all the love and creative energy you put into this collaboration, and for your enthusiasm for and receptivity to all my crazy ideas. I'm most definitely looking forward to doing this again in the future! Until next time, my friend! 💛
I just love the ear candy in this track so much! Keep coming back to this track for inspiration, for listening to how amazing this is with the sounds, the different references, the musicality aspect! Everything here is so perfect and flawless! Def my fav collab track! Everything is so nicely balanced! I can't get enough of this track haha!
@@HANABI_Music yoooo I’m glad this track has a legacy so strong that you keep coming back! There’s something about collabs that bring out the best in both artists and I’m glad to see that you believe this one here is no exception! 💜
@@HANABI_Music Hanabi, thank you so much for taking the time to write yet another heartwarming and encouraging comment! 😊 It's especially touching when someone revisits the comments section and expresses that they're still enjoying the music, and those rare instances are truly cherished. It's awesome to read your remarks regarding the ear candy, and massive credit goes to Theølogy for sweetening the mix with various percussive elements, superbly-integrated SFX, and various supporting elements (like those piano notes in the Zelda's Lullaby segment - I love those!) I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the references here, too, and you know how much fun they are to integrate. The Zelda series' music lends itself especially well to that, and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to include a few favorites. 😁 And "musicality" is not a term I often see used, but wow, what a compliment - thank you! This collab was a real joy to be a part of, and I've been truly fortunate to work with so many people with such character, talent, and enthusiasm, in the past year alone. It means a tremendous amount to hear that this ranks so highly for you, and again, I immensely appreciate that you took the time to comment again on the video. Thanks so much, my friend! 💛
Hey, Phansite! It's great to see you, man.🙂Thank you very much for listening and taking the time to comment! That is very high praise, seeing this expression used, and it definitely motivates me to keep working towards continual improvement! Thanks again! :D
Dude, thank you so much for listening, and for the encouraging feedback - it's incredibly motivating to read! :D It was a genuine privilege to work with Theology here, and he's chiefly responsible for the percussive elements that are quintessential for chillstep. This has long been one of my favorite styles of music, and to create a track from the LoZ series in that style with him was a fantastic experience, from start to finish. By the way, my eyes lit up with excitement when I saw the thumbnail for your upcoming In the Final remix... like, HOLY HECK, that's gonna be insane!! I can't wait to hear how it'll sound! 😁 Thanks again for your comments, Vector - they're always a joy to read!
Amazing work! The hard hitting drums over some instrumentation that very much screams you is great as always! But my favourite part has to be the key change at the end as it’s executed SO WELL!
Catorstrax, so good to see you, man! Thank you very much for taking the time to listen so intently and provide specific feedback on this remix. I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the drums here, and that you felt they synergized well with the tonal instruments! Being able to work with Theology and his insane drum sounds (among many other things, like those sub-bass drops and atmospheric elements) was a genuine privilege and it warms my heart to hear feedback on both aspects of the instrumentation - thank you! Ah, so glad you liked that key change, and thank you for mentioning it! Since the Great Fairy Fountain is a fairly short loop, we thought it'd be good to do something extra to differentiate that last section, and I basically left a measure for the transition between key signatures and was like, "have at it!" and Theology came up with that insane drum break alongside the Great Fairy laugh from Wind Waker. The Warp Whistle idea came later on, and Theology saw an opportunity to put it there, too, so it ended up really becoming a feature segment - again, I'm psyched that you enjoyed it! ^_^ Thanks again for the kind and encouraging words. I hope this year's been off to a great start for you. See you around! 🌟
I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT Okay so huge zelda fan, obviously. BUT I THINK MY OPINION IS STILL VALID BECAUSE SHEEEEESSSHHHH it's so good, I am in love. I love how one can hear your classic melodic synth playing the dazzle factor in there. It's so refreshing Also I love how this even sounds like a collab between the styles. It has hints of both you and Theology in the mix, which is so great in my mind. The drum tracks in this remix are my favourite part, honestly! :D I would try to comment more but I'm mildly sick so my brain is dead. But while I try not to sneeze my braincells out, here is some appreciative screaming in caps from one of your fans
Ah, I'm elated (truly!) that you liked this remix, G-Squared - thank you so much! 😊Your enthusiastic and genuine way of expressing your thoughts had me smiling widely the whole time I was reading it. Knowing your love for the Zelda series and it's music, I was especially hoping that you would enjoy this one. What's more, you've been hinting at your intent to create a dubstep-styled track(s), so I was even more stoked to hear what you think of this particular approach, with some of the genre's elements present here. Theology is quite the man when it comes to hard-hitting drums and exquisitely-detailed sound design, and he's quite the man in general! Like you, he has a passion for VGM and for the Zelda series in particular. I feel like I can't sing his praises enough for all the work he did here, making both of our parts shine with his superb mixing, and coming up with a final master that's much more than the mere sum of its parts. It is really heartening to hear that you feel the piece is a balanced reflection of both styles, and thank you for saying so! :D I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling great, and I hope that whatever's ailing you resolves soon. It was incredibly thoughtful that you commented to such a degree of detail, in spite of that. And you're too kind! - likewise, I'm an eager enjoyer of your remix videos, and I'm excited that you're sharing a bit of your process with your recent Short. I'm looking forward to more of, well... any kind of video you decide to make! Thanks again, my friend, and I'll see ya soon! 🌟
This is amazing, everything in this mix works so well together to give it an ethereal and relaxing vibe. The choice of instruments (and the signature EQ Violin), the SFX, the slight melody references like Zelda's Lullaby - it's all tied together so well. Not to mention the animation work and the graphics. I love the setting of a cave for a fairy fountain. It makes it feel like a place that not many people would find, only a courageous hero would travel deep underground to find it! I would love to see this theme used in those OOT/MM/WWHATEVER randomizers. I think a lot of players would be delighted to hear this theme playing at a fairy fountain. Keep up the great work, You, Kali and Theølogy did an outstanding job with this one. This remix brings back so many good memories!💎 "I can enchant your gear, toss it into the fountain." *Tosses in a cinder block*
Man, Titan, thank you so much for the detailed and heartfelt comment - your feedback is always much appreciated, and truly cherished. I'm really glad to hear that you liked the approach that Theølogy and I took here, and that you could identify specific elements in the music that were unique to our instrumentation and arrangement styles. And wow, it is very high praise to hear that you feel this could be included in a Zelda randomizer - I'd be truly ecstatic if I ever heard this playing in someone's randomizer playthrough! 😁 I really can't get enough of that violin synth, and I don't want to overuse it, but I just love the way it sounds. I'm trying to wean off of it a bit, to keep it a bit more special when it's used, and to also avoid getting too much into a comfort zone, but like with piano, I'm finding that it fits into dang-near everything in some capacity. In any case, I'm thrilled that you pointed out the Zelda's Lullaby reference, and thanks for saying so! I figured it'd be a fitting addition, given the connection between Great Fairies and their role in assisting the messenger to the royal family (at least, I think that's the way it goes in Ocarina of Time). Although, this arrangement and instrumentation is based more on the Link to the Past iteration, as I wanted to recreate the plucked sound they used in the SNES title for the arpeggiated part. Of course, I really can't give enough credit to Theølogy for everything he did in this track. A majority of the percussive elements are his, and he selected and added all of the SFX, as well - they really feel like an integral part of the song! The bass wubs are a new element, and it's kind of wild, honestly to hear them used in a remix that I worked on, as they're an unwieldy sound that I'd struggle to balance in the way that he did. And speaking of balance, he mixed and mastered the entire dang track with some literal magic (and over a decade worth of experience as a DJ and musician). It was just a real pleasure to work with him, too, and the guy is so loving, enthusiastic, and genuine - I'm confident this isn't the last collaboration we'll create! Man, thank you so much for always mentioning the visual elements specifically! As I mentioned with the music, the visual style was also inspired by A Link to the Past. I like that in the games, the Great Fairies always seem to be found in different kinds of locations, but the idea of finding one randomly in a cave, as opposed to a conspicuous shrine, always seemed really cool. Granted, Kali gave the design a modern spin, and now we see a bit of what the Great Fairy does in her downtime while waiting for random stuff to be chucked into her pond. By the way, I love how you always include a hilarious sign-off action in your comments, and this one in particular had me laughing out loud. I can just see her reaction to that, where it's like: *"Hello there. Did you drop this?" "...yes." "I like an honest person. However, this item is beyond my abilities to improve." You got your cinder block back! Why do you even have one of these?!"* Thanks again for listening, and for the heartwarming feedback. I'll see you around, my man! 🌟
Love the genre mashing in this one. Good job guys. The halftime beat and wubs speaks to my love of Dubstep. I'm also particularly fond of remixes of this tune particularly, and it's great to hear one done in this style. Excellent choice and use of samples as well. Bravo.
Void, thank you so much, man!! I am really, really happy to hear that you enjoyed this remix, as I know you're a big fan of the series, and of dubstep and its sub-genres. ^_^ Chillstep is my not-so-guilty pleasure, and I'm very grateful that Theølogy was not just on-board, but _enthusiastic_ about taking that hybridized approach here. The bass wubs are entirely his fine work, as are most of the percussive elements here, and I'm sure you'll find that his drum style is right up your alley. Honestly, you guys both are exemplars for this type of huge, powerful, and straight-up-cool drumwork. I really can't get enough of it, and it's what I ultimately aspire to work towards one day! I know this theme gets remixed often (and rightfully so) and he and I are both hugely fond of it, as well. Since ALttP, it's been a series staple, and the fact that it's had so much staying power in the series - getting constantly rearranged and referenced by the series' composers themselves - is testament to how good of a song it really is. I was hoping that taking this best-of-both-worlds Chillstep approach would make for a unique listening experience, and I'm just delighted to hear your positive feedback on it. Thanks again for taking the time to listen with intent and comment so thoughtfully. It's always a pleasure, my friend, and I'll see you soon! :D
Hey Equalyze, It makes me happy to see you collaborating with an other legendary remixer. This collaboration is synonymous with progress for you and a real treat for my ears! I love the way you introduced Zelda's Lullaby in this remix. The mixture of your two styles goes together very well and reminds us of the relief that the fountain gives us as a traveler!
Guimu, thank you so much for the heartfelt and thoughtful comment - it was really touching to read! I've been truly fortunate to have opportunities to work with so many kind, talented, and passionate people in the remix community, and pairing up with Theology to work on a Chillstep-styled track was a dream come true! Indeed, collaborating with people has helped me to gain valuable experience with and exposure to different sound styles, techniques, plugins, and music resources. It's helped me to look at my own music more critically, too. It makes me happy to know that you enjoyed this track and found it easy on the ears, as we had hoped. We wanted to keep that rejuvenating aspect of the song intact with this piece, while upping the ante a bit with some powerful drums and atmospheric sounds! I'm thrilled that you pointed out the Zelda's Lullaby reference, and thanks for saying so! The two themes have such natural synergy, that it felt like a sure fit - also, the fact that you play the theme to summon the Great Fairy in Ocarina of Time really emphasizes that connection. Thanks again for the wonderful comment - yours are always a joy to read! :D
What an amazing collab!!! It always makes me happy to see two musicians that I like get together and create something unique and special! Your styles blend together so well! I love the chillstep style that you guys went for in this remix. Love Theology's hard hitting beats and rhythms with your dreamy melodies... oh, and the Equalyze Violin that I've grown fond of! I think you've developed a signature sound! My greatest regards to you two both! 👍👍
Glitchman, you're too kind! Thank you so much for the heartfelt and encouraging words, my friend. 😊 It means more than I can say that you enjoy and look forward to both Theology's and my music - and the feeling is very much mutual! I agree that it's always exciting to see two remix artists that I enjoy working together, and the camaraderie in this community as a whole is truly heartwarming. I'm delighted to hear that you felt our styles synergized well here! Chillstep seemed like a sub-genre that could combine Theology's superb ambience and power with my gentler style, so we went all-in with this! I'm deeply grateful to Theology for the opportunity to work together on a VGM remix, and for his willingness - eagerness, even - to try a sound style that was new territory for both of us. Seeing you describe the melodies as "dreamy" warms my heart - thank you! I tend to favor synths that (I hope) are a bit easier on the ears, and that violin synth has become an absolute staple instrument for me. It's very high praise to hear that it's become a signature sound, especially coming from such an experienced musician and astute listener. I don't want to overdo it, so I'm trying to be more selective with how it's used, and I appreciate that people have been especially receptive of that instrument (which is a modification of the "Bowed 6" preset in the VST Sakura, by the way). Thank you again for your thoughtful and detailed comments, Glitchman. It's a real joy to have gotten to know you and Theology through this shared passion of ours, and I'm looking forward to what you guys will be creating this year. 😁 Until next time!
Landad, thank you so much, man! Hearing this song referred to in that way is very high praise! Major props to Theology, who really ramped up the energy here and took the track to the next level - I have him to thank for that! I'm looking forward to your next piece, as well, and I hope this year's been going well for you. Thanks again! :)
This is absolutely insane! So many collabs recently! This is soooo cool! I absolutely love hearing your style mixed with others who are so obviously passionate as well! The opening is soo beautiful and I could listen to that on loop. And while it's on my mind, I just gotta commend the use of various sfx's from the series as percussion! That's honestly so cool! I love the Zelda's Lullaby section too; it's so pretty! Chillstep is such a cool genre that I've only dabbled in a little. This really does hit that perfect middle ground of chill and energetic. I feel like I could dance to this or fall asleep with it in the background. lol I really wamna point out the bass design here. There's a subby bass that's keeping the arrangement grounded, and then a dirty wobble bass that has such cool fills, especially changing wobble speeds! They work really well in tandem, and don't get in each other's way, which is really easy to do with double bass. Oh and I gotta shout out Kali Lyon, who really did an amazing job with the illustration! There's so many little details, and I love that the fairy has a phone. lol Also the little fairies are all mesmerizing. You and Theølogy make a great team! Honestly, it seems you're just an awesome person to work with, since so many of your collabs just . . . work yk? It's really cool being able to learn of so many other musicians just due to you collabing with them. Honestly it's really inspiring. I think this year I'm gonna try to collab, at least a couple times. As always, amazing music my friend! I've been super busy so it may take a while before I get to comment, but know I'm always listening and enjoying and supporting your music. Until next time my friend!
Vividity, thank you so much!! :D This comment had me smiling ear-to-ear while reading, and I've read it at least a half-dozen times now. 😊 It means so much to me that you always take the time to listen and comment with such detail and thoughtfulness on each remix video. There definitely have been a lot of collaborations on this channel recently, and I'm grateful to have had these opportunities. You can expect to see more this year, but for the next few months, I'll be making some solo remixes. As much as I really have come to enjoy collaborating, I also want to make sure that I can stay well-practiced with handling all aspects of the remix. I've been spoiled with having much of the percussion, SFX, supporting elements, and arrangement done by Avo Cado, Hanabi, Player2, and Theølogy in these past several remixes. And P2 and Theø also did the mixing and mastering for these past two remixes, so I'll really need to work on keeping up with their abilities in that regard. 😅 I'm so glad you liked the intro here, and thanks for saying so! I always like to create arranged endings for every remix, but for tracks that don't have a built-in intro, I've been trying to create those, as well. Granted, the Great Fairy Fountain theme has a very iconic intro, but I thought it'd be nice to incorporate that after setting the stage with some gentle ambience, almost like you're walking through a dark cave before stumbling upon a magical fountain! Theology really did a great job bringing out the atmospheric feeling in those first few seconds, and again, I'm delighted that you enjoyed it! All credit goes to Theølogy for the use of SFX here - the man has a real talent for using in-game sound effects as integral parts of a song. As you aptly put it, they feel like a core part of the percussion, the way they're used so rhythmically and dynamically. And the fact that nearly all of them come from Ocarina of Time really strike a nostalgic chord with a lot of people, I think. I want to get back into utilizing SFX more frequently, like I used to, but I often find myself running _really_ short on time near the end of the month, and any SFX I might have wanted to use end up being omitted. In any case, I appreciate the kind words regarding them! :) Thanks for mentioning the Zelda's Lullaby reference, and I'm delighted that you enjoyed it in particular! It has surprisingly good synergy with the GFF theme, with just a few notes and chords needing to be tweaked to avoid dissonance. And since it's the song that's played to summon the Great Fairy in OoT, it felt especially fitting to include here! Chillstep has, for several years now, been a favorite genre of mine, and it checks all the boxes for me. Like you mentioned, it's calming and pleasant, while still having energy and a bit of mild intensity - a weird dichotomy that's tough to put into words exactly, but I think you described it best as music that is equally dance- and sleep-worthy. I think what does it for me is that it's huge and atmospheric with lovely chords and gentle melodies, while still having exceptional electronic drums. I'm tickled that you noticed the use of multiple basses here, and thanks so much for commenting on them specifically! I worked on the (sub-) bass part, and Theølogy mixed it into the track with his own bass wubs. That type of bass is a hallmark of his style, and he made it fit seamlessly into the mix. And as you described, the varying wobble speeds really keeps it sounding dynamic and varied throughout. Your remark regarding the "dark art of double bass" on my Sword Search remix has really stuck with me, and if there's an opportunity for it, I want to see if there's a way to make it work! I really appreciate your kind mention of Kali's artwork - and we're so glad you enjoyed the design! Kali goes all-in when it comes to details, and she always loves when people notice the little things, like you've been doing in each of your comments. Funnily enough, the phone was originally a mug of hot tea/coffee/potion, but she decided to switch fairly late in the process, and I think the result is a cute, modern interpretation of a classic character in the series! Man, it means more than I can say, truly, to know that you think so well of me - thank you!! 💛 Each of the people I've worked with have been so accommodating and inclusive throughout the process; I fully admit that I'm not always the easiest person to work with, so huge kudos to them for being utmost professionals, in terms of musicianship and personal interaction. I'm really happy to know that you feel they've turned out so well! And man, it would be awesome to hear some collaborative tracks on your channel! As much as I love the resulting blended style, I also really enjoy hearing about the process, and knowing you, there will likely be some great insight shared with your viewers, regarding the process of working with that person(s). Thank you again for your time and care in writing these. I'm sorry that it took me so long to reply, but I wanted to make sure that I had an opportunity to respond in the detailed manner that I always intend to. I'm looking forward to more of your music, as well, my friend, be it solo or in tandem - see ya soon! ^_^
Holy damn, you've been doing a lot of collabs lately! Are we seeing another one next month? 😏 This remix is awesome, as usual! There are so many aspects of this song I'd like to talk about, but for the safety of my fingers falling of I won't mention them all, ahah! First of all I love the theme of this song, with it being chill and relaxing while going insane at the same time, and I really find that awesome, knowing it can be hard to pull off. The percussion is also really well done, and I can hear the work that\s been put into it, hearing the incredible amount of variety. Also I gotta give Kali some cred as well; I. Just. LOVE. the Great Fairy vibing with their telephone in the fountain, probably watching some really good content seeing the smile on the fairy! Awesome remix as always! Both of your works sounds INCREDIBLE together!
Avo, thank you so much, man! As always, your comments are such a delight to read, and I really, really appreciate that you always take the time to listen and comment in such detail. ^_^ Heh, there have been quite a few collaborations lately, and I'm very fortunate to have had all these opportunities to work with amazing people in the VGM community. First, you, then Hanabi, then Player2, and now Theology! The next few remixes will be solo, but I'm already looking forward to the next one, whenever that happens! I just need to take a few months first to brush up on my own abilities, since I received so much support in the last 4 remixes. 😁 In any case, I'm thrilled to hear that you felt there was a good balance of calm and relaxing, yet bold and powerful - that was our goal! Theology definitely put the "step" in it, which contrasted my more "chill" elements quite nicely. The man did a stellar job mixing it all together, and like you did with our remix, his drums and percussion just took the track to the next level! Thanks so much for the kind mention of Kali's artwork, as well! :D I'm really glad that you noticed the detail of her holding the Hylian-styled phone, with that satisfied smile. Interestingly, the original idea in Kali's sketch was to have the Great Fairy holding a cup of hot tea, but near the end of the process, the teacup was swapped for a smartphone, and I think the change really suits the intent and design of the video. She and I are grateful for your kind words regarding the visuals! ^_^ Hope all's been well with you, my friend! I'm always keeping an eye out for your new uploads, and I've been loving that Wii Sports remix you created a few weeks ago in the meantime. Thanks again, and I'll see ya soon! 🌟
Equalyze, you have once again blown my mind! I can't believe how many collaborations you've tackled lately! Your style meshes extremely well with Theology's! Two of my all time favorite producers in one track? Heck yeah! The nostalgic factor is at its maximum here with Zelda probably being my most played franchise. This production is beyond perfection! The intro is the perfect little segment to introduce the track! I also wasn't expecting to hear 3 different Zelda tracks either! Even with the different key, I can still recognize Zelda's Lullaby anywhere like at 0:41. It just meshes so well! It's genius! And then hearing the oot Title Theme being used as a key change just threw this track to the next level! I can't get enough of it! Also, I apologize for the late comment. I've been going through one of the hardest seasons of my life and It's impacted (temporarily) my ability to do the things that I love. I just want to say thank you for making amazing remixes, it really helps! Also, Kali did absolutely phenomenal with the art as usual! Keep them coming man, you're on fire! :D
Thank so much, SteelDragon!! Man, your comments always bring such a smile to my face, and you always hone in on specific aspects that I hope people will take notice of and enjoy. I really appreciate that you take the time to provide such detailed and personalized feedback! This has definitely been the season of collaborations for me, and I'm grateful for all these opportunities I've had to work with some truly incredible people in the community. Each person has been thoroughly inclusive and encouraging throughout the process, and although I feel I'm not always the easiest person to work with, they've been very accommodating each step of the way. Holy heck, though, I can't even begin to express how much it means to hear that Theølogy and I rank among your favorite remix producers - seriously, thank you so much! 🥹 And knowing that Zelda is a top franchise for you, it's a joy to hear that the nostalgia factor came in spades here. Big props to Theølogy for really maximizing that aspect through his superb integration of SFX. With the exception of the Great Fairy laugh at 1:36 (from Wind Waker, which we decided was a more pleasant alternative to the OoT Great Fairy's shrieking laughter), I believe that every sound effect came from Ocarina of Time, which I know hits home for many longtime fans of the series, myself included. Speaking of which, thank you for mentioning that transition segment specifically! I had the idea to incorporate the Warp Whistle/OoT Title Theme riff during that 2nd pass of the main melody, and Theølogy suggested a much more fitting placement for it at the key change - we had many instances where two minds came together to yield an effective result, and the man has so much enthusiasm for creative ideas that it's hard not to feel sincerely valued and appreciated when working with him! I'm happy to hear that you liked the intro segment, as well! I've been trying to create more arranged intros, since that's the critical part of the song that can make or break someone's potential interest in it. As much pride as I take in arranged endings, I realize that they're not getting listened to nearly as often as intros, so your feedback regarding this one is a real confidence-booster! Normally, I like to go with the OG intro, if a song has one, but here, it felt fitting to lead into that iconic rising broken chord sequence with a bit of subtle melody trickles and some atmospheric ambience. Theølogy did an amazing job of applying filters and adding his own supporting sounds to really make the intro into everything I hoped for, and then some. I'm also psyched that you liked the Zelda's Lullaby reference - and thank you for saying so! The song has surprising inherent synergy with the GFF theme, with only a few adjustments to chord structures, rhythms, and notes to avoid dissonance or weirdness. And given the close tie between the two themes, it felt especially fitting to do so. I imagined that in the video, playing Zelda's Lullaby would summon the Great Fairy, much like in Ocarina of Time! :D Thanks so much for the kind mention of Kali's artwork! It's a real privilege to be able to use her artwork in nearly every video, and to be able to work so closely with her to plan and create videos has been a huge benefit, and an undeniable contributor to the appeal that these videos have had. She enjoys reading the comments in each video, but I'll be sure to convey your kind words to her nonetheless! :D And please, no apologies needed, ever, for the timing of comments. It seriously means the world to me that you enjoy the music and comment at length on each remix, and I feel like I can't thank you enough for the constant encouragement and support. If anything, I should be the one apologizing for the delay in replying, but I wanted to make sure that I had the time to respond thoroughly, and in a way that I hope conveys my heartfelt appreciation! I'm sorry to hear that you've had a rough time lately, but I hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel for you, and soon! It's tough when circumstances keep you from doing the things you love most, but I've no doubt that the motivation for working on remix videos remains stronger than ever with you! I know that everyone gets creative blocks and periods of low motivation from time to time, but I get the sense that you're a guy whose only real inhibition is a lack of opportunity to create VGM remixes. In spite of your situation, I immensely appreciate your taking some of that limited time to comment on both my and Theølogy's videos at length! Here's to hoping that you get some much-needed respite soon! In the meantime, I'm more than content to listen to the remixes you've made thus far, and the anticipation of a new track gives me something to look forward to! 😁 Thanks again!!
Super cool as always, I like some of the drums fills toward the end. The use of sound effects from the games is nice, I think it had been a while since you incorporated that in a remix. I don't know since when you have it but I just noticed you have the "Official Artist Channel" icon beside your name, congrats ^^ I'm also working on a Zelda remix, hopefully releasing it this weekend
FlameCheese, thanks so much, man! Your comments are always such a delight to read, and I know I say this every time, but it means a tremendous amount to know that take the time to listen and provide feedback for each remix. 💛 I'm psyched to hear that you enjoyed those drum fills! That's an area of my music that I really need to work on, but Theology really excels at that aspect, and he created a nice assortment of satisfying and cool drum fills to complement his powerful percussive elements. The in-game SFX were also his doing, and that's another hallmark of his music - so glad you liked the selection and usage of sound effects here! I do really enjoy using them, as well, and it's been awhile since I used them as a core part of the song, like I used to. I'm trying to use them a bit more sparingly, and it also takes me quite a bit of time to integrate them, so time often ends up being the limiting factor. In truth, most of these videos are rendered literally a few hours before they're posted, so SFX integration ends up becoming a "if I have time" kind of thing, unfortunately. As for that official artist icon, I've actually had that for close to a year and a half now, and I first got it when I used Distrokid to have a few songs put up on streaming services. I believe that Soundrop allows users to gain access to that, too, so as long as a person at least has music on UA-cam Music, they have that status. Definitely recommended, if you're looking into it! :) And man, that's exciting to hear that you've also got a Zelda remix in the works - I always get pumped when I get a notification for your new uploads, so I'll be looking forward to seeing that in the near-future. Thanks again, and I'll see you real soon! 🌟
"As for that official artist icon, I've actually had that for close to a year and a half now" Woops, not sure why I didn't see it before haha. Thanks for the info I might look into it eventually
@@FlameCheese Yeah, I definitely recommend it! I pursued it mainly to access the Community feature early (before the Subscriber count requirement was lifted), but having songs on UA-cam Music is a nice way to increase exposure a bit. If you have any questions about the process, I'll be more than happy to help however I can! And thanks again! :D
equalyze this is beautiful and amazing! what an original take on a classic. i really like the hopeful mood it brings. i find the production to be mesmerizing with all the ear candy and textures having all their moment of protagonism without stepping on each other. and i really like that bowed string lead around the 0:45 which disrupts the high energy in a beautiful way. fantastic all around ❤
AlterLoy, thank you for the lovely and heartfelt comment! Reading what you wrote, I couldn't help but smile widely the whole time. 😊 It means a lot to hear that you felt this approach came across as original and fresh! Like many others in the VGM community, Theology and I are longtime fans of the series, so we wanted to keep the gentle, nostalgic charm of the original intact while infusing it with renewed energy. To hear the music called hopeful is very high praise - thank you!! And wow, I'm equally delighted to see the term "ear candy" to used to describe the different sounds here. I have to give big props to Theology for balancing the instruments with such precision and intent - he did an amazing job of making sure each part in the mix had its own space and moments to shine! And I really appreciate your specific mention of the violin synth - that's one of my absolute favorite instruments to use, and I love how Theology integrated it into the piece. Thanks again for taking the time to listen and keep an ear out for all the details. And I'll see you soon, my friend! ^_^
I always loved this theme, I was remixing it when I first started my remix channel, but I never released it ahahah. Talking about this remix, the two styles match perfectly together, and I'm glad you're uploading a lot of collaborations since it's cool to hear a lot of different approaches. It's always truly inspiring hear what you've done, thank you for sharing your works! (Also, props to Kali, the artwork is awesome!)
DarlingJack, thank you so much! I know I say this each time, but it means a tremendous amount that you always take the time and effort to write such detailed and thoughtful comments. They're always a joy to read! ^_^ That's surprising to hear that you made a remix of this theme early on in your channel! If you do decide to post it somewhere (even just a segment of it) at some point, I'd be interested to hear it! In any case, I really appreciate your specific feedback on how the styles combined here. Theology's music is characteristically powerful and deep, and my music tends to be more on the gentler side, so we wanted to draw from both sides and create something that was huge and atmospheric, but also gentle and elegant at times - Chillstep seemed like a great way to bridge those approaches, so I suggested remixing this theme in that sound style, and thankfully Theology was very much on board with the idea! This has definitely been the year of collaborations for me, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many people that are as kind and passionate as they are talented. It's really allowed me to branch out considerably and reflect more critically on my own music, too, which I hope will improve my own future remixes! And thank you for always mentioning Kali's artwork, too! She and I really worked in close synchronicity here, and she designed the scene and great fairy with the musical style in mind. She also came up with quite a few of the video ideas, and I can't stress enough what an invaluable partner she's been, and how fortunate I am to have here artistic support. And once again, thank _you_ for your continued support and enthusiasm! Until next time, my friend! ⭐
ILM, thank you so much, man! ^_^ I really appreciate that you always take the time to listen and provide specific feedback on particular elements of the song. The drums here are primarily Theology's work, and he integrated my percussive sounds, as well, with absolute finesse. And I'm thrilled to hear that the spacious sound that I try to create with pads and reverbed/delayed instruments is coming through here. Again, Theology specializes in hugely immersive and atmospheric music, so it was great that we were able to synergize in that regard. Thanks again for the comment, and I hope this year's been going well for you so far! See you soon! :D
The description of a weary traveler needing to rest is really sweet also love the shoutouts you give in your descriptions they're always wholesome!! Listening here again and what a joy it is to listen to yours and Theology collab - two amazingly passionate vgm remixers who are extremely wholesome people showing love to the community ❤ Theology's drums n bass and atmospheric pads with your melodic elements and violin come together here so well! Indeed when the sound effects came in I was so happy to hear how well it integrated. I love your melodic instruments that contrast with Theologys hard bass growls and drums and when that violin comes in my heart went ❤💓💓💓 oh how beautiful!!! And then back and forth with the melodic lines and that drums and bass contrast so lovely! This is a forever masterpiece for me! The counter melody with the violin towards the end there with the lullaby theme? I can never get that name haha but so lovely! Excellent work both of you! Not to forget Kali's lovely artwork! Such a beautiful fairy art that is and how the video effects you use go so well! The art just enhances this piece and chillstep vibe even more!! So beautiful!! ❤ Always lovely to see a track from you EQ!!
Man, Hanabi, your comments are always so heartwarming and uplifting to read - thank you so, so much!! ^_^ It means a lot that you always take the time to read and reference the descriptions in your comments, and I love that you put so much care into that aspect of your remix videos, as well. Honestly, the way you highlight the talents and efforts of others in your own videos has really been an exemplar for me! And thank you for your kind and thoughtful remarks on Theology's video, as well - you really go all-in when it comes to supporting all people involved in a production, and I can't thank you enough for that. Speaking of which, I really appreciate your thoughtful mention of Kali's artwork! I was really astounded when she showed me the initial sketch idea for the video, and as the linework and colors emerged, I became increasingly excited to put it all together. Honestly, she's become integral in the planning of the videos, too, and just as many (if not more) of the ideas for transitions and shifts in the video are hers. We're really happy to know that you feel the visuals complemented the Chillstep style of the piece well, as that was one of our major goals here - thank you! 😊 Yes! Theology's instrumentation here absolutely brought this piece to the next level, and I really appreciate your listening out for and mentioning those elements specifically. His drum selection and usage here was phenomenal, and those bass growls that you mentioned are really a hallmark of his style. That contrast that you mentioned took a bit of getting used to, but the more I listened to those his bass parts in the mix, the more they grew on me, and I honestly feel like they're such an integral part of the overall sound. I have to thank him for getting my ears on board with new sounds, and it's inspired me to want to use some of those harder sounds in future remixes, too! Hehe, you and I just can't get enough of those solo string instruments, can we? 😁 It means so much to know that you enjoy that particular instrument and the way it's used, and likewise, I always love hearing your signature string parts in your music. You correctly surmised that Zelda's Lullaby is referenced in the piece at different points, and honestly, the two pieces had such inherent synergy that not a whole lot had to be done to the Great Fairy Fountain theme to make it work - just a few chord and melodic changes, really. It's always a lot of fun to work in other themes, and I appreciate your always keeping an ear out for them. Thanks again for the time and care you put into writing such wonderful comments, Hanabi - I'll see you soon, my friend! 💛
Hey, Anbu! Thank you very much for the kind feedback - it means a tremendous amount that you always take the time to listen and comment. 😊 I'm glad to hear that the remix brought that nostalgia factor, and although this theme appears nearly everywhere in the series in some form, I think Theology and I inherently geared it towards the Ocarina of Time version. Playing that game for the first time was something I'll never forget, and I'm thrilled that this piece was reminiscent of that experience. Thanks again! :D
Perfect as always! The 3 of you did great, the art, the collaborated remix is great, the video itself all combined is excellent! I could definitely see people use this during livestreams!
Landon & Emma, thank you very much for the enthusiastic and encouraging comment - this really made my day to read! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed both the music and visuals, and as you mentioned, it really was a team effort! That's very high praise to hear that you feel this is livestream-worthy, as people tend to be very selective with that kind of music. Again, thanks for always taking the time to listen and comment - it means a whole lot! ^_^
Caryssonford, it's great to see you! Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and comment. I'm really happy to know that you enjoyed this remix! 😊 Hope this year's been going well for you so far!
What a wonderful remix buddy. Truly inspired. I love it when artists put in the sfx timed into the songs too, just adds an extra level of thematic flare. Keep up the incredible work!
Star Haven, thank you so much! It's always a delight to read your comments, and I appreciate the specific detail in your feedback. :) It's interesting that you use the word "inspired" because this remix was definitely the product of sudden and strong inspiration, and the music end of it came together in just a couple weeks! All credit goes to Theology for the sound effect usage. The guy is a real guru when it comes to selecting and integrating SFX into remixes, and I loved the way he used an assortment of Ocarina of Time sound effects here (with a special cameo from Wind Waker at 1:36), as they're instantly recognizable and super nostalgic. Thank you again for the continuous encouragement and support, my friend - it means a tremendous amount! 😊
Hey, YiffsterXenn! Thanks very much for listening, and for taking the time to comment! I'm delighted to hear that you're a fan of the modern style that Theology and I went for here. We wanted to keep the nostalgia factor intact while infusing this familiar tune with some fresh new energy. Thanks again for the kind words! 😃
the fairy fountain is by far my most favourite track from the legend of zelda series (the only other contender for first place would be the overworld theme of spirit tracks), and you made a fantastic remix of it! Bravo I say! very creative too, it's not that close to the original in tone and the different parts get utilized well. I like the instrument that sound a bit like dubstep as well (I think it's called a dubstep growl?), though I think they could've hit harder if they had their own section and stayed out of it the rest of the remix.
Hey, Riedler! Thank you so much for the detailed and valuable feedback! I'm really happy to know that you enjoyed this rendition of your favorite Zelda theme. It's always a bit of pressure, knowing that any theme could be someone's favorite, and I'm delighted to hear that this remix did not disappoint! :D (also, I agree that Spirit Tracks' overworld theme is a top-tier tracks in the series) I know that this song gets remixed quite often in the VGM community, to it means a lot to hear that it sounds distinct, and not too close to the OG track. I wanted those upper arpeggios to sound reminiscent of the sounds used in A Link to the Past, since Theology and I are both big fans of that game and its OST, and he did a fantastic job of integrating all kinds of atmospheric and percussive sounds in the mix. We had hoped that the contrast between heavy and powerful, alongside gentle and delicate would make for a unique and memorable sound style! Those bass wubs and growls are among Theology's many signature elements, and I appreciate the candid feedback there! They're definitely a bolder type of sound, and that's a really good suggestion. We'll definitely consider it for future collaborations, as he and I are looking forward to working again in the future! Thank you again for taking the time to write such thorough comments, Riedler - it means a great deal! 🙂
What an incredible remix so beautiful I love how up beat and energetic this remix is the childhood memories are flowing back while listening to this incredible remix.
Hey, Shunban, thanks so much for the heartwarming and thoughtful comment! It means a lot to know that you enjoyed this music, and hearing it described as beautiful means great deal. 😊 Theology and I are both longtime fans of the Zelda series, and we had hoped that this remix would encapsulate all the nostalgic and fond memories that people have with the games - I'm delighted to hear that this aspect of the remix really hit home. Thank you again for taking the time to listen and comment, my friend - be seeing you around! :D
Midi Music, it's great to see you, man! Thank you very much for the kind words, and I really appreciate that you took the time to listen and comment, even after the initial release period. I always especially love receiving comments weeks after a remix has been uploaded, as it means people are still interested in hearing it. 😊 I'm glad you felt that the combination of Theølogy's intense and powerful drums combined well with the more delicate and gentle synths I used for the melody and supporting elements. Chillstep is one of my favorite sub-genres for that very reason, as it has a strong percussive drive, while still being easy on the ears. Thanks for mentioning that aspect specifically! It's always a pleasure to get notifications for your comments, my friend. Thank you again! :D
Equalyze what an amazing remix my friend I love this theme so much it’s probably my favourite from the entire Zelda Soundtrack shortly followed by Zora’s Domain! Right let’s get into the depths of this remix, I really love that you did a collaborative project here both styles really complement each other well, I’m not sure who did the percussion but the level sounds super professional and I’m quiet mind blown by it! Right the Violin is amazing really hits at the right moments, my favourite aspects of this mix is most definitely the vox and chords you implemented really sounds future bass inspired if it is future bass you really have improved and developed your style! Great Job can’t wait to hear the next remix!
Hey, Poke&Remix! :D Thank you so much for the very detailed and precise feedback - this was a real joy to read, and I'm thrilled to hear that this remix of your favorite theme in the franchise delivered! Knowing that this is a fan-favorite piece in the series, Theology and I really hoped that it would deliver a different kind of listening experience while still keeping intact the nostalgia and beauty of the piece intact. :) (Zora's Domain is a fantastic piece, by the way, and I love listening to remixes of that one especially) It's really encouraging to know hear that your styles synergized well here! Theology and I really had a great time making this, and I think that camaraderie came though in the music, as well - thanks for saying so! Theology handled most of the percussive elements, and the dubstep-styled drums are completely his work. His sounds are - as you aptly put - professional, and he's been producing music much longer than I have, so it was a privilege to work with a guy whose skills are met by his enthusiasm for VGM! I'm glad you liked that violin synth part, as well - that's become one of my favorite instruments to use, and I always worry if people will tire of hearing it, so I'm trying to use it selectively so it makes more of an impact - it's great to hear that you felt it was well-timed here, and thanks for that specific feedback! The vox synths and chords are aspects that both Theology and I worked on, and we felt that it was a critical part of the remix, really putting the "chill" in Chillstep and creating a sense of ambience and atmosphere, so I'm delighted to hear that they were among your favorite aspects! Again, thanks so much for the thorough feedback, and for the encouraging words - it means a great deal to know that you look forward to future remixes, and that you feel my style continues to develop and refine with each new remix - that's always been, and always will be, my goal! I'll see you soon, my friend! 🌟
Hello, isleling! Thank you very much for listening, and for taking the time to comment. :D I really appreciate your mention of Kali's artwork, as well - her designs really help bring these remix videos to life, and I'm happy that you enjoyed this one!
This is such a cool take! It has a great combination of intensity and calm (as contradictory as that may sound) with the hard hitting percussion and the soothing synths and melody! And the transition into Zelda's Lullaby is absolutely beautiful and so fitting! ...I totally meant to comment a long while ago but here's to more awesome covers from you two!
Hey, Danny! It's great to see you. :D Thanks so much for listening, and for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed comment - it means a great detail to receive such encouraging feedback from you! I'm delighted to hear that the remix struck a balance between mellow and intense - that was the goal with this remix! For several years now, I've been a big fan of chillstep, and one thing I love is that it often sounds exactly as you described this piece - calm and soothing, yet powerful and driving. Most of the hard-hitting drums here are Theølogy's work, he created the perfect complement to Zelda's Lullaby with his piano countermelody phrase and the low-pass drum buildup - not to mention all those iconic SFX! I'm really happy that you enjoyed that segment in particular! And honestly, it's a such a pleasant surprise to see comments weeks after a video's release - I'm touched that you were still thinking of this remix even after all this time had passed, and I immensely appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts on the remix. Please know that _all_ of your comments are tremendously appreciated, regardless of frequency or timing! Hope the year has been going well for you, my friend - in music, and just life in general. Thanks again! ^_^
Heyy, 7revor! Thank you very much for the kind comment, and for taking the time to listen. I'm psyched to hear that you enjoyed this one! ^_^ Chillstep was new territory for both Theology and I, but his extensive experience with dubstep, combined with his penchant for huge and atmospheric music really helped this to come together! Both the in-game SFX and most of the drums are his doing, and I just love how well both aspects came out. I was amazed when I first heard his signature kicks, snares, and impacts in the mix, and the percussive element continue to impress me each time I listen! And his selection of sounds from Ocarina of Time (with an added laugh from the Wind Waker Great Fairy) really imbued the piece with extra energy and nostalgic goodness. This remix is a bit of a love letter to the series, so we hoped it would be impactful for both new and longtime fans! Thanks again for your encouraging words, man - it means a lot! :D
TudBoatTed, thanks so much for listening, and for the enthusiastic comment! It's always such a pleasure to see notifications for your comments. Major credit goes to Theølogy for the intensity you mentioned - the guy is extremely proficient when i comes to creating hard-hitting percussive elements and a huge sense of space, and it's a great complement to my gentler style. Thanks again for your feedback! ^_^
Absolutely beautiful, I saw this in my recommendations (While watching the Metroid Prime remix of Tallon Overworld 2) and decided to check it out. I was not expecting this, it's considerably different and unique compared to the og.
Ah man, thank you so much for taking the time to listen and comment on this remix video, too - I have to say, reading your comments on the Tallon Overworld video and this one brought a big smile to my face. 😊 Seeing this remix described as beautiful is very high praise - thank you! I'm happy to hear that this had a unique and distinct sound, as well. Theølogy and I wanted to keep the pretty and elegant aspects of the Great Fairy Fountain theme intact, while adding some drive with chillstep-styled drums and lively bass elements. Your feedback makes me feel like we really hit the mark here! Thanks again for your wonderful comments, Arcticanine - they really made my day! 🌟
Finally some time off to get to listen to this once again, and actually writing something about it. The style from @Theology really stand out in this one, meanwhile your own style stand steady and never give in. The two styles of yours fits really well and actually lift the other ones up which I think is not very obvious within music. Again in this one, it could easily be at least 1 minute longer and never feel repetitive. It's such a beautiful tune and the both of you made it even more beautiful! Please make more of these together, it's really awesome! And the feelings and atmosphere from the original is sooo present even though the beat and different instruments shine through. Amazing job! Thank you both for this one, really made my night! And believe me, I didn't miss all the SFX corporated into the remix, it gives it that final touch of perfection :D
Neon X, thank you so much for the detailed and thoughtful comment, my friend! I know time is a major commodity for you, and I immensely appreciate your taking that little time you have to write at length about my latest remixes. 😊 Theølogy's style is definitely quite different from my own, and it means a lot to hear that you felt that our styles meshed well, yet they could be distinctly identified in the mix. He really has an approach to drums and percussion in particular which is uniquely his own, and in his other collaborations, it shines though quite clearly! Major props to him for handling the mixing and mastering of this track, and for integrating our parts so well together. I sent him nearly 3 dozen tracks to work with, including some of my own drums, and he took two very different instrument styles and meshed them together with absolute finesse. Thank you again for your comments on the collaboration aspect specifically, and it's a very high compliment to hear that you felt that the track could have been extended further without overstaying its welcome! The added SFX were entirely Theølogy's doing, as well, and he has an amazing ability to select, time, and balance sound clips in regards to the music. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have some truly memorable sound effects, and I loved hearing them all in the early drafts he sent me, all the way up to the final master. And I certainly hope to work with him again before long! Not only is he talented and a pleasure to work with, but the man has amazing character and his love for VGM and its community is hard not to feel uplifted by. Thanks so much for supporting us both! 💛
Hi, Mattip! Thanks so much for taking an interest in the remix, and for the kind comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! ^_^ You've made a remix of this track, as well, and I really enjoyed your synthwave-styled rendition! And I'll be looking forward to more of your music, as well. Thanks again! 🌟
Hey, Cheery! Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment - reading your kind words was a bright spot in my day, and I'm glad you found the remix to be pretty- and chill-sounding, as Theølogy and I had hoped. 😊
@cutecharmcutie9543 SO MUCH LOVE HERE! 😂😭😭😭😂
You’ve got the Midas touch
Hey, Phansite! It's great to see you, man.🙂Thank you very much for listening and taking the time to comment! That is very high praise, seeing this expression used, and it definitely motivates me to keep working towards continual improvement!
Thanks again! :D
You really do though lol. Midas = equalyze
SICK WORK you guys! Gotta love the melodic/chillstep vibes!
Dude, thank you so much for listening, and for the encouraging feedback - it's incredibly motivating to read! :D
It was a genuine privilege to work with Theology here, and he's chiefly responsible for the percussive elements that are quintessential for chillstep.
Thanks again for your comments, Vector - they're always a joy to read!
Thanks again for the kind and encouraging words. I hope this year's been off to a great start for you. See you around! 🌟
I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT
Okay so huge zelda fan, obviously. BUT I THINK MY OPINION IS STILL VALID BECAUSE SHEEEEESSSHHHH
it's so good, I am in love. I love how one can hear your classic melodic synth playing the dazzle factor in there. It's so refreshing
Also I love how this even sounds like a collab between the styles. It has hints of both you and Theology in the mix, which is so great in my mind.
The drum tracks in this remix are my favourite part, honestly! :D
I would try to comment more but I'm mildly sick so my brain is dead.
I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling great, and I hope that whatever's ailing you resolves soon.
This remix brings back so many good memories!💎
"I can enchant your gear, toss it into the fountain."
*Tosses in a cinder block*
Man, Titan, thank you so much for the detailed and heartfelt comment - your feedback is always much appreciated, and truly cherished. I'm really glad to hear that you liked the approach that Theølogy and I took here, and that you could identify specific elements in the music that were unique to our instrumentation and arrangement styles. And wow, it is very high praise to hear that you feel this could be included in a Zelda randomizer - I'd be truly ecstatic if I ever heard this playing in someone's randomizer playthrough! 😁
I really can't get enough of that violin synth, and I don't want to overuse it, but I just love the way it sounds.
I can just see her reaction to that, where it's like:
*"Hello there. Did you drop this?"
"...yes."
"I like an honest person. However, this item is beyond my abilities to improve."
You got your cinder block back! Why do you even have one of these?!"*
Thanks again for listening, and for the heartwarming feedback.
Hey Equalyze,
It makes me happy to see you collaborating with an other legendary remixer.
Always dropping bangers
I feel like I could dance to this or fall asleep with it in the background. lol
I really wamna point out the bass design here.
I'm so glad you liked the intro here, and thanks for saying so!
Thanks for mentioning the Zelda's Lullaby reference, and I'm delighted that you enjoyed it in particular!
This remix is awesome, as usual!
Heh, there have been quite a few collaborations lately, and I'm very fortunate to have had all these opportunities to work with amazing people in the VGM community. First, you, then Hanabi, then Player2, and now Theology! The next few remixes will be solo, but I'm already looking forward to the next one, whenever that happens! I just need to take a few months first to brush up on my own abilities, since I received so much support in the last 4 remixes. 😁
In any case, I'm thrilled to hear that you felt there was a good balance of calm and relaxing, yet bold and powerful - that was our goal!
Hope all's been well with you, my friend!
Thanks so much for the kind mention of Kali's artwork! :D
And please, no apologies needed, ever, for the timing of comments.
I'm psyched to hear that you enjoyed those drum fills!
And man, that's exciting to hear that you've also got a Zelda remix in the works - I always get pumped when I get a notification for your new uploads, so I'll be looking forward to seeing that in the near-future.
It means a lot to hear that you felt this approach came across as original and fresh!
That's surprising to hear that you made a remix of this theme early on in your channel!
This is really cool! the fast pace drums pair really well with your signature ambience!
Listening here again and what a joy it is to listen to yours and Theology collab - two amazingly passionate vgm remixers who are extremely wholesome people showing love to the community ❤
Theology's drums n bass and atmospheric pads with your melodic elements and violin come together here so well!
Always lovely to see a track from you EQ!!
Yes!
What a nice remix, this track gives me nostalgia from when I played ocarina of time for the first time on the 3ds
Hey, Anbu! Thank you very much for the kind feedback - it means a tremendous amount that you always take the time to listen and comment. 😊
I'm glad to hear that the remix brought that nostalgia factor, and although this theme appears nearly everywhere in the series in some form, I think Theology and I inherently geared it towards the Ocarina of Time version.
Do it! Use it. Please!!! :)
Lol whether it’s you or other love streamers.. thank you for the kind words 😭😭😭
Loving this tho!!!! 😍
Very modern style fairy mix, I'm a fan :3
:D (also, I agree that Spirit Tracks' overworld theme is a top-tier tracks in the series)
I know that this song gets remixed quite often in the VGM community, to it means a lot to hear that it sounds distinct, and not too close to the OG track.
I missed that remix too ! But what does youtube's algorithm do ? Well done again my friend, tough beat and delicacy, what a great combo !
Midi Music, it's great to see you, man! Thank you very much for the kind words, and I really appreciate that you took the time to listen and comment, even after the initial release period. I always especially love receiving comments weeks after a remix has been uploaded, as it means people are still interested in hearing it. 😊
I'm glad you felt that the combination of Theølogy's intense and powerful drums combined well with the more delicate and gentle synths I used for the melody and supporting elements.
:) (Zora's Domain is a fantastic piece, by the way, and I love listening to remixes of that one especially)
It's really encouraging to know hear that your styles synergized well here!
Great remix
Props to the artist aswel
Woah was not expecting these dubstep vibes 😳 the drums sounds great!! And I love all the game sfx but into this one :) amazing :)
This goes extremely hard!! 🔥
Seeing this remix described as beautiful is very high praise - thank you!
Theølogy's style is definitely quite different from my own, and it means a lot to hear that you felt that our styles meshed well, yet they could be distinctly identified in the mix.
Sooo coool
Hi, Mattip! Thanks so much for taking an interest in the remix, and for the kind comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! ^_^
You've made a remix of this track, as well, and I really enjoyed your synthwave-styled rendition! And I'll be looking forward to more of your music, as well. Thanks again! 🌟
Very pretty and chill
Nice work ^^
Hey, Cheery! Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment - reading your kind words was a bright spot in my day, and I'm glad you found the remix to be pretty- and chill-sounding, as Theølogy and I had hoped. 😊
@@Equalyze you’re welcome ^^
