JEEP - DOUBLE LINE RECOVERY
Fortunately for us Robert and Rosemary Clark at Levuka, that beautiful bit of north coast hinterland a few minutes out of Urbenville, were happy enough to let us come and drive their tracks. Levuka, like all the state forests, national parks and other places the team had been trying, was technically shut to the public but the Clarks are old time friends and knew the benefits of doing a DVD in such lousy conditions. See, they're as keen as us that people know some of the techniques for handling flooded country and doing a DVD at Levuka, where the rain had been falling all month, would definitely give us that chance!

I think this was 2009?

Didn't know you used to have little jk Wrangler!
Thanks wish I did. It was a demo. And a great thing too n
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY wranglers (especially the tj) are probably one of the most underrated 4bys in Aus
😊
Mate that is only a redirection pull, , a double up would have been from the troopy to the wrangler through the pulley sheave ,and back to the troopy, thus doubling the pull .
Oooh, don't show this to the Auto Expert!
attach the snatch block to the jeep and anchor the line back to the troopy for a double line pull would be the go i reckon!
Expert?? Hahahaha. They should try going bush instead of talking about it.
I love your stuff Roothy, but that isn't a double line pull, just a change of direction. It might have been around this time when the mag made the mistake in one of published articles when talking about winching techniques.
Every chance of that - I should pay more attention, as the Handbrake may have noted on the odd occasion....
G'day Looks like a change of direction.
Still a usefull technique that is underused.
