Love the idea of turning to rooftop tent around, utilizing the roofrack as a verandah. Should certainly make getting up & down in them a lot safer. Good on yah Roothie.
Yep, heard the Bushcompany itsel;f had done a few for customersa facing front and had no problems at all with the sealing - we're off to try her out next week!
There are plans to get Ryebuck gear across to South Africa eventually - we know how much you love your Mahindras and it was on a trip over there that I got involved with the later models too. Plenty in common eh?
Had a lifetime of this mate, free gear is part of bewing a journalist, but this time I got to choose and authorise the companies involved which was really nice. There's a lot of different levels of gear these days!
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY John, If you want to give me a call to throw some quality ceramic window tint on the Mahindra, I would be happy to help out @ Northside Tinting Services
Had a mahindra to use on a station up the gulf, loved it. Had a 500litre diesel pod on the back generally ran it about 3/4 full plus tools and the usual fencing/ get out of trouble gear. Comfortable to drive, you needed to keep the revs up ie change down early, stuck to corrugations like shit to a blanket , ran on the smell of an oily rag and 1/3 price of a cruiser. Had to swap the spring hangar bushes out for some decent ones after 60k and that’s about it.
Did yopu have any issues with chassis bending or cracking? Any vehicle can if loaded and used but it's all I've heard of other than trivial stuff. Anyway will be investigating that - and the spring hangers. Thanks mate.
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY No thats about it, some internal plastic trim on the windscreen pillar succumbed to the Corrie’s but was fixed with super glue as it kept on landing on my lap, would put grab handles above doors imo. Drove both Toyota and mahindra on long station runs and the mahindra was always my first choice. Cheers , Charlie from Tassie👍
Sensational build Roothy, dropped my Mahindra off to Mark and Ben at Ryebuck last week, pick it up on Monday with all the mods and tune, but guarantee it won't look as sensational as yours. Regs Baz.
That Old saying Roothy, to get the best you have to pay the best, that looks awesome, Job well done, the paint job and color is fantastic, everything about it looks absolutely brilliant, cant wait to see you on the road
Just another example of why people should listen to John when he says "get over it!" when talking about the vehicle he's chosen. Good onya Roothy, enjoy your new ride mate!
It was choice ande choice alone, not always easy to buck the trend but the best rides seem to be outside the norm for me anyway. W#e will see! There's heaps more Mahindras on the road l;ately so I'm noit the only one!
So sweet....very nice. I do like the front opening RTT option with the platform, some where to put a chair and smelly boots, and safer to get up and down the ladder.
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY You can take inspiration from the Mahindra Karoo from South Africa. But the Aussie edition could be named after the toughest outback trail. A couple of ideas would Mahindra CRT (Carson River Track) or Mahindra Uluru with rock painting decals. Then do a youtube series tackling the outback.
We'll have to put mine and yours side by side Roothy and compare..... looks great though mate.... I may no longer have the most custom dual cab Mahindra in Aus... your's is a step ahead with the paint job.
I wonder if this is a one off build by Ryebuck Engineering or can it be ordered with a new vehicle from next door? Pay the cash and pick your new MSV up in a few weeks?
It looks great, but I have misgivings about the weight, especially when everything for a trip is loaded up. I carry no more weight than is absolutely necessary. But, I am a very basic traveller, swag, tuckerbox, water, fuel, tools and spares. Not even an Esky.
Yep, my biggest issue always - weight! This isn't that bad and is part of my testing the Mahindra anway I reckon although got a feeling we might pull the roof topper for a Cape trip - you' re rioght, simple is always bhest. The stuff some people take......
Contact the team at Ryebuck Engineering. They have build packages available at point of sale, you can buy and take delivery of a car like this from day 1
Hey Roothy, Did you do anything about those bog awful front seats. Had my first sit it an S11 today with view to purchase, crikey these are the worst and least supportive seats I have ever say in/on.
All bums must be different - or maybe it's after Milo - but I love the seat anbd so does the wife - she always like sitting tall. We use canvas seat covers on everything.
It's a mix of stuff I had, things given at cost, and price - I'd reckon to buy a new Pik Up and do this thru Ryebuck would be in the vicinity of $80K - maybe less -
The presence of this Mahindra is insane!!! Ben and the team at 4am/Ryebuck Engineering have done an amazing job!
Couldn't agree more 👌🏾
Best looking Mahindra - full stop!
Milo inspired respray, looks the goods.
Green works for me - and this lighter shade is almost camo in the bush - very easy on the eye!
The official 70 series killer 🎉
Nah, it'll go twice as far for the buck - only time will see how long it'll last. Great thing to drive distance too - relaxed!
One of the best looking dual cab it’s, period. Love that rooftop tent and roof rack idea. Definitely going to copy that!

Totally agree with Roothy's sentiment, 'Out of this world'!
wow! awesome....we are all watching from south africa...ryebuck rocks!
Wish we got canopies like that, at a reasonable price
My mate just landed in Australia from South Africa. He's migrating all because he bought a Mahindra 😂
There are plans to get Ryebuck gear across to South Africa eventually - we know how much you love your Mahindras and it was on a trip over there that I got involved with the later models too. Plenty in common eh?
Thanks to companies wanting to showcase their product Roothy gets himself a free build.
Nice!

Very nice. Love the colour. Cheers John
I'm really considering one off these
What a wonderful build mate... the best for the best
Looking great Roothy. Nice color to mate.
On ya John you deserve this mate looks good too it's like that meaning of hard work pays off, oh am I getting the hint of it being a Milo 3 😁
Dunno about using the old girl's name yet, that's a big ask - but definitely carving a place in my heart, just need to get some more miles up.
True mate true either way it's some big shoes to fill
Instead of Milo what about Avocado?🤔😁
That's amazing. Looking foward to the adventures in it.
Bloody awesome job, great colours, good set up,plenty of people want to copy this design,my hand up for sure, good on you rooted .
Yep, huge thanks to Ben at 4WD Industries/Ryebuck for his input - brilliant result.
Nice job on the mahindra John and good to see ya out and about, cheers

That is ace. I'm almost as wrapped as John. Great work.
What a great transformation. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I have been waiting for this with great anticipation! I bet it looks even better in person 😃
Wow that looks superb.
Love that Keswixk green Roothy.👌🏿

I totally agree!
Marvellous 🎉❤
That is stunning, excellent job from one Mahindran to another well done ,makes me want to redo mine
Congratulations man! Looks amazing
Looks Awesome
77.5 series Mahin'ota! Nice one, Roothy.
It's actually a 69 series
Fabulous 👌
Wow! ❤❤❤
Wish we could get it here in Sweden, would be my next one 🤠👍
Now I am sold this looks great
That tent entry off the rack is a brilliant idea mate. Looks like stonka touring rig mate. Enjoy!
A beauty 😮
Nice build and very nice colour...now you have this can you give a small rundown on the orange Landie in the workshop...please...
Looks killer mate! @Mahindra if you are watching better partner up 😜
Bloody nice rig
One nice looking rig John 👍🇦🇺. Milo MK2🤣😂🤣. Just a shame Steve and I can't give you Brunswick green roof paint for it 😜.
Beatiful
Stunning
looks mint Roothy!
That looks Bloody Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking mint, when do we get to see this girl out and about.......
Thanks for the share 😎🤙
I am "Green" with envy 🤪👍
Thats cool mate, nice rig 👍
Looks fantastic mate 🇦🇺👍
She’s gorgeous Roothy!
Damm killer rig
Looks great, with a bit more weight! Engine upgrades next?
WOW.
Improved no end 👌
Damn fn epic work 🔥🔥
Roothy and Mahindra should partner for a special edition offroad double cab pik up with all the bells and whistles.
Aha - the MSV theory again!!! Woulde need Ben and Ryebuck to make it work but I reckon he'd love that too.

Full credit to you
How’s the GVM on that now? Looks much better well done
Beautiful

On ya Grant = where can I see yours? Hopw you going with it? Always l;ooking for tips from fair dinkum travellers - cheers
I'm a green person, I love the colour. It wouldn't stand out as much as it does if it was a white although its very impressive.
Cammo green - great for sneaky bush camping....
I wonder if this is a one off build by Ryebuck Engineering or can it be ordered with a new vehicle from next door? Pay the cash and pick your new MSV up in a few weeks?
I reckon if you ask they'll deliver - and it';; be a true custom!
Bloody nice
Hi Roothy, it's green just like Milo and Milo 2 were. Will it be as good as Milo? Cape York on the cards?
Nothings as good off-road as Milo - but I reckon a Cape trip will try her out nicely! Just do the usual work up to it thing! Thanks mate
Frikn awesome
Any idea on the wheels and tyres? Having a hard time finding options for mine... currently have the A-Line Lynx with 245/75/16
It looks great, but I have misgivings about the weight, especially when everything for a trip is loaded up.

I got to ask ? Whats the weight on the rear axle ? Awesome rig..Well done.. Love the colour..
Not sure altho I'd reckon there's600kg tops on the back - am looking at suspension and chassis stuff yet = we'll see!
I am definitely in love ❤️, 😅😅😅😅.
watch out Toyota, Land Rover, and Grenadier!!
That colour really changes the character of the whole vehicle, suits it down to a "T".
Roothy must be getting a sweet tooth in his old age!
Moved from Milo to the Peppermint Crisp! 😅
Past that the other day at manly
So for unsponsered people, aprox what would a package like this cost? She looks mint!!! Looking at getting one over here in NZ
Contact the team at Ryebuck Engineering. They have build packages available at point of sale, you can buy and take delivery of a car like this from day 1
Tinted windows would really set this off nice, especially against that green paint job.
Yep, thinking about that - only experioence I've had with tints was peeling old ones off so far tho -
It looks heavy now. A big green hippo. It is a pity it does not have the power of some of their other vehicles.
Good enough torque from factory to push through the brakes in low range. That's all you need
Damn it, I want One 😮😅
Wow Roothty very flash a really quality build.....You will need to wear RM Williams & Handbrake will have to frock up & wear heels!!😅 Congratulations
Namastey ❤
See how long it lasts on corrigations
Love da roothy
Pass on that for by though
Very well built, looks great. Not sure about the rooftop being around that way, seems like a waste of the platform.
The finishing touch for black accent would have been black door handles to match the canopy and black the mirrors.
Otherwise, awesome 👍
Well we all want to know the cost of the fitout.
Hi mate,I'm looking for a Roothy tool roll?.If you still have them pls let me know, thanks.
When I saw the thumbnail for this I thought he was buying it off the bloke from that pawn stars show.
Wouldn’t been much change out of 30 grand for that build up and probably mates rates
True and true! But nice to have a choice at this end of the career -
Hey Roothy,

Fuck I can’t lie that looks good 😊 and I’m die hard Landcruiser boy but fuck that’s nice😅 she’s screaming for bigger rubber tho
You sound like a Cruiser bloke thru andf thru - and nothin' wrong with that.
How is the GVM on this?
I wouldn't swap me 80 for it mate but it would be close
Can you please share the price of build??
It's a mix of stuff I had, things given at cost, and price - I'd reckon to buy a new Pik Up and do this thru Ryebuck would be in the vicinity of $80K - maybe less -
Whats those tyre size? And rim offset?
Smick
A white roof would of been reminiscent of something!!!!
Just call her Avo... Avo, halfsister of Milo
