Tip for anyone buying one of these exact models: Clean thoroughly before using. The stuff they put on it to protect against corrosion is gummy and will cause light primer strikes, and ejection issues. Also,do not flip the spring to lighten the trigger. It will cause trigger reset issues, and is a royal pain to try to reinstall the spring to its normal position.
Most new firearms have been treated with cosmoline, a protectant designed to prevent rust and corrosion. This should always be removed before using any firearm.
I owned a Ruger Mark II for many years and had to sell it. Found this pistol on sale at Bass Pro Shop in Harrisburg, PA. Just paid a tad over 300 bucks this Buckmark pistol. After cleaning with Ballistol and firing 200 plus rounds of different brands of ammo, This pistol is more accurate than my former Ruger and much easier to clean.
I just went to my local gun shop and bought on sale for $299.95 one day sale, and after I send my $25 rebate comes down to $274.95. I believe that is one hell of a deal, especially here in California.
Awesome.... Bulk pack ammo works great in this pistol. I had decent performance using Remington Thunderbolts. Your grandson will enjoy learning on this pistol.
Great video! I just found one at my local Fleet Farm for $329! I’m not walking out of the store without it. Too good a deal to pass on. At that price I’m sure I will make money on it in say 10yrs from now or more. Now with my Ruger Mark 4, my boys and I will have some fun at our local plinking range. Now to find some .22Lr rounds. Thank you!!
I have a lot of .22LR ammo and only an old 1960s marlin glenfield model 60 and wanted to get a semi auto .22LR pistol and decided to get this buck mark camper, I'm super pleased with it and it's very nice looking, I got the black and silver one. I would recommend this to anyone and honestly in my opinion it seems under priced for the quality of this pistol. Nice video btw
@stitchntrim - thanks for taking the time to watch our video and for leaving us a comment. Our production team, which features a Primetime Emmy Award winning camera operator, shoots our videos in 4K resolution on his iPhone. That’s why it looks so good. UA-cam heavily compresses the video quality of all videos when they are uploaded, so in order to give the video the best chance of having high quality, we shoot them in 4K resolution so it’ll still be close to HD 1080p once it’s been compressed during the upload process. Thanks for commenting and we hope you’ll continue to watch. And please don’t forget to like, share and subscribe if you haven’t done so already! 😎👍
I just purchased this pistol and took it out to the range for the first time. I fired 36 gr. Federal hollow points, Remington hollow points. Federal Auto Match and Remington Thunderbolts. All of these 22lr. rounds worked great. Once I got used to the trigger, I was putting rounds into one ragged hole at 15 yards.
@Lou Flores Thanks again for your questions and comments. Due to privacy concerns and verbal agreements, we are unable to disclose certain locations that we shoot video at. Feel free to contact us at watchsh007er@gmail.com for further clarification.
This is new to me. I have heard no discussion about this. It is such a great seller that I would have a tough time believing its true. I'll ask around and see what I can find out.
@Bear Claw - thanks for watching our video and taking the time to leave us a comment. When we decided to start doing reviews of different firearms, we weren’t exactly certain how it was all going to play out. As the Exec Prod of the channel, I made a decision to speed thru the live fire portion because I wasn’t sure the viewers would want to sit and watch 10 rounds being fired from a .22lr pistol. It was kind of boring and it just didn’t look very entertaining when I was editing the show. However, every gun review that we’ve done since, that incorporated a live fire demo, has been more dynamic because of the higher caliber of ammunition being fired. I’ll discuss the idea with Ed to maybe do another video with the Buckmark that focuses on accuracy or something along those lines and I’ll promise to show an entire 10-round magazine being discharged for those like yourself that are interested in seeing that happen. 😎👍 Thanks again for the comment and I look forward to hearing from you on some of our other videos. first thing I noticed was you had the muzzle direction all over the place even opposite direction of down range... then you bring up always point muzzle downrange, then after shooting you have muzzle at a 90 degrees to down range. yes no mag, yes action open. but definitely not pointed downrange at all times, lol

Buckmark is one of THE better .22’s on the market. Accurate, not ammo finicky and inexpensive.

Score!
Just picked one up here in WA today at a Black Friday deal of $199 after the rebate! Couldn't pass it up
Very surprised for California. You probably had to register it.
Great to let gun grabbers know ahead of time
Thank you for the information.
This is my first pistol I tried and I love it. Youre very right--it's building my confidence w/ firearms
Still recommend it? 🤔
@@DonYeyoReaks I do!! Still shoot it for fun and to teach friends. A pain to clean, though
Nice video, I purchased this gun today. It will get used and I will teach my grandson's to shoot with it.

I was going to buy a Ruger Mk IV but my boss gave me one of these. I love it and will probably still buy the Ruger.
I've owned a buck mark and you can't go wrong, it's balanced well, accurate, and eàsy to operate.. looks cool too.
Thank you!
Very happy with this gun, although the grips mine came with were all black. Still very comfortable.
Great pistol sweet trigger
No doubt. My clients love this for training. Many have gone out and purchased their own after shooting mine

They also make a threaded barrel suppressor-ready version of this model
Nice video! Would have like to see a disassembly for cleaning purposes.

There is always one TROLL. How's it feel to be that guy?

Why is Browning discontinuing this pistol?

its still being sold
Why edit out the shooting itself? Show us how it shoots instead of telling us how it shoots. Please.

Anybody with bigger hands ever get cut by the slide when pressing the slide release?
Have not seen that but I did get cut and burned having my thumb too forward and close the reciprocating bolt face. Ouch!
If you keep your grip right you will not get hurt. I have big hands. The web at the back will keep your skin out of the way.

Factory sights are terrible. Replace mine with Williams Fire sights. 100% better.
