Listening to the different tones of the metal targets gave me an awesome idea. You should make a video where you play a song by shooting targets of different sizes. That would be awesome
I purchased a Buck Mark because it was like my Grandfathers Woodsman. I learned to shoot with that Woodsman and it was so accurate. I loved it, but they didn't make them any more and it was hard to find a good used one. So I purchased a Slab Side Buck Mark with a 6" barrel length. I used it in a Bull's eye shooting league for two years and it is my favorite .22 pistol.
I just bought one and it came with the tactical barrell from the factory. I am waiting to try it out and I did put a Truglo 3 MOA sight on it. It came with the gold curved trigger. VERY good video. The Buckmark is not the cheapest to buy, but the gun shop said it was the best .22 pistol.
I have had a Ruger MKIII for years. I just added a Browning Buck Mark URX Standard with volquartsen rail and BSA Edge scope a few months ago. Already have 400 rounds through it. With the fancy buck mark contoured wood grips it looks awesome and shoots even better, at 100 yrds and a rest I can group smaller than a paper plate. My Ruger is still a favorite, a robust and durable design, also a super accurate. Can't go wrong with either...
Yay! A Buckmark, or Fankenmark! I love my Buckmark. The trigger is amazing, and light. Now, I know what to look for to spruce up mine. That or just pick up a Victory, or both! If only I had the foresight to buy a Woodsman in the '70s! But no, I had to have ....
22plinkster you are awesome and I thank you very much for what you do. If a person competes or you are like 22plinkster who has invested a great deal of time, talent and money in creating awesome media content I can totally understand investing that kind of money! Base Buck Mark = $400 Victory Trigger + Halo = $75 RMR 1 MOA Red Dot = $646 Threaded Pac-Lite Barrel = $315 Suppressor = +/- $500 Federal Tax Stamp = $250 TOTAL = $2,186 For a plinking pistol? Really?
OMG, that is one sweet looking weapon , and it looks like it shoots brilliantly, and accurately but looking at it earlier, I love the blue and a Milling on the barrel , very nice job, and nice looking weapon.
My gunclub has recently bought a few Buckmarks and we have had a few malfunctions but they were magazine related. Dirt gets in the magazine and it won't load properly. Beeing club weapons often hundreds of rounds go through them without beeing properly cleaned. All it takes is pulling the magazine spring a few times before loading and I have not had a single malfunction since.
I've got one of these with the tactical barrel, grips, and picatinny rail. You should open it and flip the spring around to get half the trigger weight. It a nice improvement for free. Thanks for nice review.
I'm one of those Buckmark guys. I've converted many 22 shooters to Buckmark just by handing them one of my Buckmark pistols. I had one guy sell all of his rugers and get a Buckmark. Both of mine are 95% stock. Except for àn optic on one and a little trigger polishing. I also flip the spring on mine to lighten up the trigger. They have good triggers from the factory though. I like the halo upgrade. Someday I'm going to build a frankenmark.
I do like that Halo charging ring. That should almost be 'standard equipment' with the Buckmark. I for one, have found that the rear sight on my Buckmark is 'in the way' of getting a good grip on the slide. That Halo would solve my little problem. Thanks for this,...I don't think there's much 'Franken------' anything on this one. It's a great looking pistol.
I didn't know he fired Remington ammo. I've had "Lost-count-numerous" duds when using their "Golden Bullets" and maybe 2 in as many years using several different types of Federal.
Just bought a stainless BuckMark, cuse its about the only dern .22 one can buy in Kali-4-nia! I like it, fairly accurate. But not as good as my model 41. Still a good fun gun...
Have a Buckmark, butI find my Ruger Mark III to be a much better shooter. Truth be told, I did put in a great trigger in my Ruger. I now shoot my new S&W Victory a lot. There are soo many good 22's, that you get and work on. Makes it a lot of fun.
This is so great and I feel so honored that my boss gave me one. I am trying to learn about. I'm good with gun handling etc. I just want he says it's a weighted bull barrel. I would rather have it suppressed because I only plan to use it for target practice. Is this realistic or would I pay more than what it's worth. Any suggestions from anyone are appreciated, I don't take even a gift of a firearm at face value. Call me paranoid. 😂
I couldn't help but notice what appears like two ejection ports, one on the left side and one on the right. Are my eyes playing tricks on me? I can definitely see light coming through from the left side of the receiver in the video! Your reply is appreciated, sir! Thank you!
Wow, Plinkster. Awsum iron(8-)...er iron and 'luminumnumnum. I'm not real crazy about the color scheme, but that's just me...sure do like the roar when it goes off(8-)...Seriously, the target ping seemed louder that the muzzle bla...er muzzle whisper(8-).
Hello, Great videos, thank you for your job. I am particularly indecisive between two guns. The Mark IV Target and the Browning BUCK MARK 22 Lite Lite Gray URX. I would like your opinion. Which of the two will you choose for: - marksmanship, - ease of use, - handling, - maintenance disassembly / reassembly, - very important, reliability. Thank you for your answer. Friendship.
😹😹😹 horses where did you get deer lol deer would never be around hearing those noises all Hunter's know this. Horses would be at a distance. On top of that, you see their tales and the walk is a 🐎. Sorry, no deer hear...
@@katelynsandoval9194 Those animals were obviously horses, but we actually have deer come down pretty often at my local shooting range in western Norway. We have to cease firing and chase them away. But you have to be like 10 meters from them before they start to move. They are so used to the shooting and people being there I guess.
Just a question, I was wondering what the difference is in accuracy between semi auto .22s and revolvers? I notice all your .22 guns seem to be semi autos. I get how the actions work and that there is that gap in revolvers, was just wondering if you can get similar accuracy from a revolver.
Wish there was a close up of the rail. Can't tell if it had cuts in it or is it smooth, checking out how the rmr mounts to the rail. Looks like it's the same smooth rail that came on my udx and the sight clamps around the sides of the rail. Some views look like the rail has the cuts in it (picatinny), bit that may just be shadows. Don't think there's a mounting option for the smooth rail/sight combo that comes with the udx but I've never done it, so I have no idea. I've seen plenty with no rear sight and a full rail on top but not with the rear sight integrated into a picatinny style rail. Thought maybe it mounted like old scopes. Well, too many shadows and I can't tell what's under the red dot. if you've got time please let me know.
Павел Иванов thanks, that's the rail I've been seeing too. No rear sights and the normal picatinny cuts. somehow it looked like he still had the rear sights in one of the shots, which I'd really like to keep. I don't like removing the iron sights and thought there may be a Browning g rail with sights and picatinny cuts. I could be wrong,
Hi there. I just started following you and love your videos. Would you mind doing a comparison to the Smith and Wesson Victory 22, PLEASE!! I"m a newbie and I'd love to hear what you have to say about it.
hey plinkster was wondering if you would be able to help me out on how i can install my ejector on my browning buck mk,i have a replacement but can't seem to make it stay in place it just has alot of play.would you be able to make a video thank you sir
+Iron Spark couldn't you just go to any shooting range and ask them? They usually gather the casings and sell them off to be recycled anyway. At least that's the case for me.
I have the buckmark with the tacsol 7inch barrel. I noticed the bullets would get scraped while feeding into chamber and cartridges would sometimes jam halfway into chamber. Is this a magazine - caused problem? I bought that tacsol barrel because the bullets would get scraped and jam in chamber. I tried to polish and chamfer the factory buckmark barrel and screwed that up.
what made you go with the 5.5in barrel instead of the 4in? i like that rear charging ring. i bought my buckmark camper with the 5.5in factory barrel...or 5in? i think im going to go for the 4in tac sol. i like those grips too!
+jacob manalang I can't answer for plinkster but I can speculate... odds are he went with the longer barrel for the increased accuracy. Just like many 3 gun competitors run the Glock 34... it's the same as the 17 and 19, just longer and much more accurate at distance.
that dollar for every mag you have loaded would probably a little behind of breaking even when you add ammo cost depending on the ammo lol but that just means you could shoot even more!!!

If money were no object: a suppressed Buckmark with a TacSol barrel - though I'd go with the 3" one and then the can wouldn't make it that much longer than normal. Open format Red Dot and the trigger spring flip. But in the real world, I'll be lucky if I can afford the Red Dot. Good thing the Buckmark does not need to be a project gun.
22plinkster I have to ask a question. I am looking for a second target 22 which over all would you recommend? I have a Ruger 22/45 decked out with all the tandemkross goodies, rail with red dot, Hogue grips, and Williams sights as a back up. The real question is Buckmark or victory?
PIck them up and hold them. I do not particularly like the feel of the Victory in my hand. I purchased a Buck Mark Contour URX, it fits me extremely well.
good day sir i am a new subscriber to your channel but i have always been watching your videos since. great shooting videos and reviews love them all. if i may request if you can get a hold of a beretta 87 target and do a review if not still loving your channel more power thanks

Nice gun Mr Plinkster. I love all the guns you bring up on your show. Cool, sorry Super Cool!!

4:00 dollar per mag. in .22 that would be profitable. I mostly shoot 9mm I wouldn't come close to breaking even.
