Yes, Silk paint is water-based. And yes, the scarlet is great for hard-to-reach places but The French Tip or La Petite brushes are perfect for tight crevices. Thank you for watching!

You mentioned silk is thiner than others. The paint I got is thick like pudding. Was also told not to thin with water. This paint was very clumpy and left little chunks on my finish. It was applied over a primer that had been sanded at 400 grit and cleaned with a tack cloth so it was baby butt smooth. 😢 disappointed
