I've never listened to Hodinkee Radio before and this episode was so good I will watch the others! I Really loved the sincere talk. The topic was great and very informative! Congrats guys, really good!
I think my favorite part of this was where they didn’t bother to edit out people talking over each other. Felt even more serious and professional than the cheap Zoom background blur effects covering up the lack of a proper set. It is a close tie, though, with Ben talking in every direction except the microphone.
Not gold but the Grand Seiko (SBGY013) Omiwatari would be perfect as a modern dress watch! Surprised no one recommended it. Many more from the Elegance collection to consider, from limited editions to region specific models. Also, Longines DolceVita is an underrated pick for far less than 15K.
@@Leaveyourcarrunninginthegarage You clearly don't know what Hodinkee used to be, and how loyal us fans were due to their high-quality content. Those of us who still here are just hoping for a return to that, but fewer of us remain with each passing day.
Genuinely disappointing how far Hodinkee has fallen. What was once an outlet for something all us watch lovers could rejoice in is now nothing more than a pretentious circle jerk. We're really out here calling things "pedestrian"? Disappointing at best.
Boy oh boy. How far this company has fallen at this point. I hope for a return to the glory days at some point, but think some major personnel overhaul would be required, and that’s unlikely because no equity in the comp equation anymore. This thing is on the path of Vice.
That cheese knife has to be the most valuable/notorious item of humour in the entirety of the watch world.
Tony did a fantastic job as a host. Felt like the old Hodinkee Radio hard hitter days.
Loved this episode! Just solid watch talk. Love it!
Enjoyed it, thank you!
Like the conversation but would love it to be in person and some more watches in the hands and some more film making which you are great at at!

Interesting that Ben said a crash is pedestrian but not a tank or sub. If it’s classic it’s not pedestrian but if it’s trying too hard it is?
I enjoyed the episode. Thanks!

Capital, old sport! Indeed. Yes, yes. 🧐💰
Nice conversation
Thoughly enjoyable well done,,,,👍👍👍
Did Tony say "The Mysterious Johnson Dealer"? I think 167 should rebrand.
Finally pulled the trigger: Unsubscribed.
Long overdue.
Thank god
It’s funny to feel the need to comment instead of just clicking the button and moving on.

@@working_mans_watches Been watching and reading hodinkee for 7 years. Enjoy it just as much as I did back then.

Imagine the cheese knife makes more at auction than the split second Rolex 😂

I deff look for value. I’m really interested in zenith because I feel like they offer really good value. Will likely be my next buy. Vintage or new.
Jean Claude BEaver 😂
This is a really hard listen. And I want to like this show!
I couldn’t listen more than half, this is baaaaad
I like everything on this channel but i cannot do this “radio” thing!! Sorry. Please drop it
the worst about hodinkee are the toxic streaks in their community (commenting community)
It’s been a longtime coming. People are giving feedback.
Hodinkee has been asking for it over the past 18 months or so, and the community has been giving it to them. What's the problem with that?
