Most of the food and edible creation tasks have just been eaten by Little Alex Horne. You should generally expect someone to eat it and expect to be judged on taste. That's the best way to cover yourself and not end up in situations like this or like some of the people in the "exotic sandwich" task.
Ok, but if Alex is eating that then I would want to make as unedible as possible and if I am eating it then it's the opossite. So it's not as easy as you think.
I love that you made a comment telling people to be smart directed to people who will never read it. You know people on the show are celebrities right? Not UA-cam comment randos.
Judi had the right idea ❤ I think I would have had the same idea. make something that is not only edible, but also enjoyable to eat. you never know what's next with taskmaster 🤣
Frankly amazed that any candidate would see the word "edible" in a task and not assume that they would be made to eat it. Like, literally my first thought would be "What's a food I can easily sculpt with but also quickly scarf down?" and I reckon, the answer would come down to marzipan.
... So, they've been tasked to make a gingerbread house? Graham crackers, frosting, some sprinkles for decorations... Well, making them stand up at right angles without something in the center would be hard. Make like a christmas tree out of them instead, triangles braced at the bottom with frosting and leaning on each other
The answer to eating most of those would be to make something more of them. Such as the baby head and breasts, take the time to finish cooking them, and don't forget the milk if things are too dry.
I was imagining a pyramid made out of stacked squares of sliced bread cut out, maybe with maple syrup between layers for weight, before I knew about the 2nd half, and glad that's the only place my brain went
As much as this was an entertaining task, it did feel like an inferior version of the exotic sandwich task. The exact measurement requirement and stipulation that the sculpture must be edible made it pretty obvious there was a second part and how none of them anticipated that is beyond me. Also, I don't know how Bridget tied for first with that awful sculpture.
Inspired by your comment I went out and bought some uncooked spaghetti. After around a dozen attempts I was successfully able to snap one strand perfectly in half, although I must say it took far more concentration than I expected. Basically you need to grasp gently, then bend with purpose, and eventually you'll cause a perfect snap.
I think that my heart would stop beating if I were a contestant in Taskmaster and I read the word edible in a task
That means that you can eat it.
Tim Key had the solution in season 1: ask little Alex Horne "who's going to eat it?"
If "edible" is in one task, "eat your" is in the next task, to be sure.

@@boydstephensmithjr was going to make this comment 😂
remember, anyone who *ever* ends up on this show;
if the task specifies "edible" one of either you or Alex are eating it in the end.
be smart.

Also any task that does not specify a winning criteria (as in fastest wins) has a second part to it.

@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme "Celebrities are not human, thus do not watch youtube or read the comments"
Alrighty then.
Lots of respect to Sophie for her commitment!
I can't believe nobody went with an Ice Cream snowman LOL
Sara Pascoe would remake Scoopy and refuse to do the second part of the task
Bastard's crying, innit
...or an actual snowman. Snow is edible, after all.
I just want to know what Ardal was doing soaking bread before he got to cutting tofu
He was considering it as another shapeable material.
Bridget stopping to specify to Alex that edible means that you can, in fact, eat what you’re talking about just *kills* me. 😂😂😂😂
it only gets better when it turns out to be (near) inedible later
"That's the bumhole, come on!" Lol

Bridget's "Oh no, no I can't!" is so adorable 😂
You'd think by now that contestants would realize that any food related task might require you to eat it as well. Why else would it say "edible?"
Seeing the word "edible" and thinking about 100 g of butter 💀
I always enjoy tasks like this cause you know what’s coming
Ser8es 13 is my favourite..just the interactions, their dynamics..how funny this is
It is indeed the best, followed by 7 and 9.
Person choosing the preview picture has no chill. 😅
Thumbnail?
Well, the thumbnail of the lips art task was Sophie making out with the canvas... and so was one of their art task compilations 😂
Sophie’s a champ, my god
As an adult, I still eat uncooked spaghetti. If I'm cooking pasta, a keep a few strings (squares, elbows, whatever) aside to nibble on as I cook.
as you should
As I write this comment, this video has 13,113 views, was posted 13 hours ago, and is from series 13. And how much uncooked spaghetti went unconsumed?
I really want those Taskmater loteria cards.
WHAT a thumbnail. Well done
Love Sophie Duker
5:00 In German, hundreds and thousands are called Liebesperlen (love pearls or pearls of love) - very fitting ornament, then
Nobody thought they would make them eat it after? Do they not know which show they are on lmao
WHY DIDN'T HE USE THE JUPITER WITH THE BREAD?!?!?!?! lol!
Very generous with the points on this one
Great video.
All I was thinking was chocolate of some kind - maybe with marshmallows or cookie dough
As always, the tasks are genius
Perfect thumbnail!

Saying it's not sending a very good message to eat an anatomical model of a vulva.. i think that's the opposite of the truth!
I am lucky to have seen this before someone in admin decides that this sculpture is the real thing being devoured.😂😂😂😂
She said that it would not send a good message if she couldn't eat it.
One of the funniest series
Sophie
Thumbnail is from a thing of nightmares
How did no one realize they had to eat it after? That's why it says it has to be edible.
Okay. I have to assert Greg got the beauty part of this task wrong. There. I said it.
just.. why didn't they pick fondant icing. it's fucking simple 🤣
❤
Pro tip:
Don't have breakfast while watching this.
I mean, the thumbnail is a pretty good warning. :D
I knew that the pregnant girl could eat anything, that's what you do!
The only woman to have done the show pregnant is Daisy May Cooper; Sophie's 'pregnancy' was just a joke she made to Fred the Swede
Eat your vegetables Chris its good for you
So you're in the pocket of Big Veggie then?
I was imagining a pyramid made out of stacked squares of sliced bread cut out, maybe with maple syrup between layers for weight, before I knew about the 2nd half, and glad that's the only place my brain went
The thumbnail makes me legit uncomfortable.

Judi clearly anticipated it - she made a sculpture of all the food she liked.
It's all just for laughs you know? Don't optimize the fun out of the game.
you cant snap/brake a spaghetti in half , just some useless info haha
True, I've tried that a lot as a child - it's always at least three pieces.

Um, _actually_ you mean 'a spaghetto'.
i love men
same
I really really hate seeing this thumbnail on my timeline. It does the opposite of making me want to watch it.
