So if people think he’s strange or awkward onscreen…lol Iain even thought Joe was joking at first with how he acted
the fact that there is only seven years between them makes this so much better cos if i didnt know and somebody told me they were mother and son i would believe them
After rewatching Series 8 multiple times, I feel once you know Iain will have a redemption arc in the end the whole series becomes fun to watch. So a rough first watch but incredible rewatchability value for me. Especially since they have some of the best tasks in this series I'd absolutely love to do personally
I've never disliked a contestant on the show as they all have their strengths and add their own dynamics to the cast, but some of those team tasks with Iain were horrible aha, at least he had the grace to react appalled by his own behaviour
the only excuse i can make is that when i was thinking of my fave parts to put in the compilation was that i forgot about the live tasks. but i honestly should've having rewatched that part

i wanted to come back to this comment since Iain is gonna be on the Taskmaster Podcast and i saw some rude comments about him online, i really liked Iain's run on S8 because he and Lou had a natural competitiveness that they used against each other a lot, i found it really similar to Ed and Rose from S9 who are friends outside of the show who are ridiculously competitive, just wanted to put that out there since many rag on S8 for being too competitive but i thoroughly enjoy the competitiveness

He did have a solid point though about people just cheating tasks and putting in zero effort. When Bill Murray cheated at least that required effort, people that just don't even try make for really boring watching

When I watched this series it was like he didn't want to be there for a lot of it. But I think that was just his personality and he was a bit quiet with a side of awkwardness.
He's like the stereotypical English guy that you see in movies and TV that we think the British are like and then we realize oh no they are a lot more foul-mouthed and perverted LOL

The saving grace of Series 8 for me. Absolute brilliant lad.
Paul gave me some of my funniest moments. I was honestly crying with laughter watching his ping pong herding task. But Joe was by far my favourite.
