great rundown! And i really appriciate how much better i hear your voice! Still trying to get an grips on Escher, but those Outlaws looks lovely! And with an leader as Vandoth the Fallen, they have an rock to lean on!
Thanks mate! I'll get round to escher at some point. Oddly enough though, they are the one gang I've never played in a campaign yet since the old rules! 😳
Just a casual lorist here: But it seems like a neat concept for an Outcast gang would be to run a Genestealer cult that has lapsed their mission. Basically the Adept is a very powerful psyker and realizes the hive mind will consume him and his cult. So the adept develops a unique self awareness and double crosses the hive mind. He frees his cult from their commands. He destroys the purestrain genestealers in his cult, has the first and second gen recruit other hive scum. So the gang resembles half stealer/half scum as a composition. A fluff mission would be to use the adept's former tyranid intel as a means to hunt out lurking purestrain genestealers and 2nd wave tyranid presence in the lower hive. With the Adept hopingbthe planets governor would give him and his gang a pardon if they are loyal to the emperor. The Outcast gangs motto being: "Use your third arm to serve the emperor brother!" You could play the adept as a Wyrd and select outcast type units to compliment the genestealer style but maybe get past some of the other gangs drawbacks.
just found your channel, great content we're starting our modified outcast campaign on the 5th of June, it too is my favorite book so. Leader #3 is my personal fave as a wyrd with bolt pistol and power axe
Champion with wyrd achetype. Backed by house cawdor. With overcharge wyrd power and a heavy crossbow and suspensor. Sure he will fail the wyrd power checks alot in the beginning but who cares. Miss a couple of frag missiles but the 5" blast template will let you hit alot anyway. Then after a couple of xp so you have higher willpower, you will shoot blast 5" frag missiles with S6 and D2. That is terrifying!
Any tips for running an outcast that is tied to a noble house? I don't have the book and am extremely new to necro but like the idea. Basically, what are the benefits of being tied to a noble house outside of an alliance?
Good content as usual :) About the 3 Wyrds outcast gang idea: since you're going for Telepathy anyway, have you considered Unbreakable Will on the leader as his first Power (to allow friendlies within 9'' to use his Will and Cool for any checks required)? Personally I've used a Delaque psychic Master of shadows with Unbreakable will and Mentor (called him Professor X) babysitting 2 Psy-gheists with Wyrms and they wrecked havock :D Anyway, keep up the good work and cheers!
I thought Outcast Gangs were designed for ppl who want to use any 30/40K Model they can get their hands on instead of any particular gang. And can a Navigator be used as a Wyrd Leader?
I want to get into necromunda and am thinking what gang to pick. First i thought cawdor, but will need at least two boxes for that. Later thought outcasts, but seems ill need a couple purchases to start them also. Damn
having a hard time finding the rules section that talks about outcast gangs being backed by houses and getting access to their equipment(van saar etc), is that still in the rules? Is it on necrovox?
They're listed and you can roll on a table sort of thing like the other gangs. If you want the physical cards you'd either need to buy them or download the pdf's
@@wellywoodwargaming Hey thanks for the response! Played Oldcremunda and trying to get into this new version but it is sorta confusing as to what you need to play, books, cards, dice, gangs etc... but I've been learning alot from your channel and subbed!
Corpse grinders are just corpse grinders. They can't be anything else. You could have a corpse harvesting party delegation outcast gang. Or you could have an outcast gang with an house background led by a corpse grinder leader for example. Only the 6 house gangs themselves can be tainted. Corpse grinders worship khorne pretty clearly too so couldn't be corrupted by tzeentch I'd say
@@wellywoodwargaming I really like the idea of the masks they make them especially difficult to hit. I look into the delegation to see how that will work. I got the book of outcast but find it a bit complicated to compose a gang without having the other books for reference. I really appreciate your gang guides. Big respect look forward to more content soon.
Video idea...rules that are commonly gotten wrong, misunderstood, or a bit confusing, especially for beginners.
Really enjoying your channel. 😊👍
Great idea. I'd need to compile a list of the top ones for sure. I always get things wrong myself too and I've been playing since the 90s 🤣
Got the book for Xmas, and finally cracked it. I am so excited by the potential of this book!! Thanks for the vid!

Excellent choice starting with the outcasts. Thanks for all the in depth vids too

Another great video. Don’t really have anything to add. Just commenting here to give it some of that engagement for the algorithms 😄👍🏻
Thanks muchly!

GOAT Necromunda UA-camr right here
Too kind
New to the game, love your channel! Good luck with the move.
I was a little shaky at first starting one but now, after this I'll give them a go

Ah yes, disposable extras, the gang.
I want to make an outcast gang led by bigby crumb.
Good content as usual :)

Oh goodness that's insane!
What powers did the psygheists have?
Hallucinations is a filthy power
Hip Shooting Meltagun 😂
I mentioned you in this one too mate 😀
Hey Damian could the Leader be a Possesed hiver or a Xenos abomination from the arbiter tools?
Or is their specific wording for them being fighters?
As long as the fighter has a cost and a profile it's fair game
Pretty sure the willpower for the close combat leader is to help negate those pesky khrone masks guys haha.
Good point! Nice thinking!

Pretty much! Creative freedom makes them my absolute favorite gang overall

That's in book of the outcast under the section of affiliation
are tactics cards printed in the book or do you have to buy them separately?

What do you think about running adeptus mechanicus as a outcast gang?
Go for it! They make great conversions, especially when mixed with gsc or cawdor bits :)
Where are the equipment lists for the various merchant guilds etc? I've got the Outcast book, but no idea where to look for that info.
They're just the weapons and equipment that the delegation in question comes with and that's it, so fairly limited
Damion? How would I go about constructing a house back corpse grinder gang corrupted by Tzeetch? What book and equipment etc would I refer to?

How do you run a named bounty hunter as an outcast leader?
You just use that fighter profile and all their gear and skills and cost as your leader. Easy as!
@@wellywoodwargaming oh wow, thanks! Love the channel & keep it coming
