Thanks again man. Funny enough I had a real hard time getting this build going until I decided to try and recreate a resort or apartment complexes with a pool in the middle you see on TV or movies. Like in karate kid. Thanks for subscribing as well.
This is an amazing build! My particular favourite is how you have integrated the shops into the outer wall defenses. That is a stroke of genius to have the shops built into the wall and their rooves acting as the catwalk along that side of the site. I am going to have to try and do something like that in one of my future builds... 🤔
Hey Dwarf. Thanks for checking out yet another build lol. I was pretty happy with this build by the end which isn't always the case. I thought the shops built into the wall turned out pretty well too. Sounds like your back into the game so welcome back to the commonwealth Thanks for all the comments as well I always enjoy seeing what you have to say.
@@thunderfish2 I think Starlight is the next big one I want to tackle. I have had a couple of goes at it. But none of them have really turned out the way I intended or indeed liked all that much. Spectacle Island I have yet to even attempt. But that is another one I want to have a go at to see if I can do anything worthwhile with it. Otherwise there are loads of others, both vanilla and Workshop Anywhere, that I will get around to one day. Currently I am thinking of a "Wasteland Monastery" build. But I am having a bit of difficulty in finding just the right location to begin the attempt.
@Dwarf_No_Zebras_Allowed I've had the exact same with starlight. I like your monetary idea. I was thinking about where one would work 'so to offer a suggestion and came up with murkwater . The ruins of an old Spanish monetary or something.
@@thunderfish2 Hmmm Murkwater... I hadn't even thought about doing my build there. I had thought to put it on the big flattish piece of land behind Nattick Power Station. But a second look there made me change my mind. So I have been looking for a suitably remote corner of the northern regions of the map to place my monastery, so far with no real luck. But actually I think maybe Murwater would be quite a good location as it is flattish and is definitely remote... 🤔 Thanks for the suggestion.
Very impressive build. I'm pleased that you chose to continue the pool theme, which makes this settlement site so unique. Very inspirational! Kudos, Thunderfish2! :)
For sure, buddy, I definitely did. It gets painful after a certain point, like every placement feels like you're pushing it. I usually limit my builds to 2 to 4 bars, usually. A lot of the clutter, like on the vendor shelves, I added after a save and placed on for the video that helps a fair amount. But anyway, thanks for taking a look at the build and the comment.
I fell in love with The Slog and immediately wanted to have a larger ghoul settlement as my *base* only to start building and rather quickly reaching max size. So disappointing. I love what you've done with it, I'm considering the no limit mod but I'm always paranoid about my game running like shite.
I love seeing these settlement builds, but I always wonder how people manage to get items to remain on tables & shelves. If I put something on a coffee table on the second or third floor of a building, I can rest assured it will find its way to the ground floor within a few visits to the settlement.
No problem. I thought the same thing about the name as well. Great simple mod, too. Incidentally, if you're a fan of GI Joe as I am, and your name implies, I think you might like my murkwater build. How did he get there? No one knows, but he feels right at home. If you do check it out, let me know what you think.

Thanks. It took me a while to get into this build, but once I did, it came together pretty nicely. I think, hope. Wanted to make it not so scrappy as my other builds due to the existing building, pool, and concrete pads.
Thanks. I appreciate you watching the video and the feedback. I did my best to add some water treatment/source via the concrete shed. I've since added piping to add to the realism, but I don't want to build on this site any further.
it's a really great settlement. 2:42 Tapestry next to the door , Sofa with cushions 13:36 Chandelier and LA COIFFE poster What mods are these items included in?
Thanks. I have my mod list/load order in a short clip on my channel if interested. In this build I used a lot of warehouse expanded mod for the cinderblock construction. CC content for the white bricks I think the Slocum's Joe one. And some sandbag fortifications mod assets. If there's something in particular you're curious about in the build let me know and I'd be happy to answer.
I've only just come across your vid, great build BTW, anyhow can you tell which mod u use the slicum Joe interior counters etc, and the kitchen cupboards etc...thanks
Thanks for checking out the build. Slocum's Joe is CC content. Think I bought it in a bundle, with the arcade cabinets and one other that escapes me. It was actually fairly cheap considering all the content I ended up with.
Thanks for checking out the build i was pretty happy with this build . I'm on a xbone 1X. Planning to get a series x but car repairs ,heaters , stuff like that keep getting in the way.
The two mods used the most here would be warehouse extended, and sandbag fortifications. There's others as well to a lesser extent. My L/O is on my channel in a short clip
I've never received much compliment on my L/O, particularly the workshop mods. So, thanks for the validation I've worked on that load order for years now. Very smooth. Beantown interiors and STC were a necessary evil for my settlement building plans, but I would definitely leave them out if doing a playthrough with minimal building requirements. They cause issues for me downtown, infrequently, but too frequently, I get CTD, particularly after longer playtime. Anyway, thanks for checking out the build

Lol thanks Kyle. Let's see the white brick is all CC content except square posts that's from the USO mod. Meanwhile my poor settlers have never even seen a door, of any kind.
One of the best Slog builds I've seen, looks very realistic! Lots of great care with the overall design and execution.
