I was a season ticket holder when old ‘dead legs’ played for City, a great servant to the club. Started watching City with my Grandad in the late ‘50’s, great memories.

Before all his injuries, Mike Stringfellow was monumental with his wee Davie Gibson link/connection. A brave man to carry on into the 70’s. One of my favourites. Somewhere in the attic I have a fabulous photograph of Peter Bonnetti at full stretch with a caption underneath (something similar to) “Peter Bonnetti tips over a flying header from Leicester winger Stringfellow”.
