Those Pacers teams in the early 2010s gave the Heat some really tough series. When Granger got cut down by injury, that was the beginning of a quick decline for that team. Definitely a real what if if he could have had his prime with George.
And the thing is, even when he was injured, Paul George said that he was a real leader on the team and everything went south the moment they traded him.

This is one is a real example of stunted growth. Larry Bird has a great eye for talent and team building. If Granger could've overcome his injuries him and Paul together would've been ridiculous over time because their games complimented each other plus they were both 6'9" and great defenders. A matchup nightmare for most teams at the 2-3.

His biggest advantage was staying 4 years. He came out mature and ready quicker. The disadvantage was since he was older he peaked fast and once he got hurt and things started going downhill he was too old to have the benefit of youth to let potential override any decision to move him.
