Thank you so much for this video! I bought this blender and before trying it out threw the box away to make room in my house. 2 weeks after buying it and throwing the box away I went to use it for the first time and to my surprise it would not come on AT ALL, tried different outlets turned with all my might wouldn’t come on. It’s been about two months now that I’ve had it just sitting collecting dust never used and decided it’s time to just throw it away. But before I did I’d look up how to fix it or replace it. God sent me to your video saved me from throwing away my money and made a great lunch smoothie. THANK YOU!!!

Made a lot of smoothies with big cubes of ice for years and mine went out, I see my cups, but may have thrown the unit out? I have a new one so I will keep this in mind

Nice video, good solution. I'm guessing, just by pure observation of the accumulated particles in your base, that keeping the base maintained would eliminate the problem.

its a hustle! the switches that engage when the upper component compresses they are cheap and inadequate. these blenders fail within 1-yr of use. the company tells you that you gumbed them up from spillage, its BS.

I tried doing what you did to mine,but it still doesn't work.I think the motor burned out.It smells and has always smelled since day one of burning wires.I guess I have to get in touch with them and get it replaced or get my money back.I'm glad I found this video to try to fix it first.

if it smells burned, then the motor windings have shorted. They seem to get these in-store approx twice a year, so if you can't return it now, maybe you can swap it next time they offer it. It would still be in warranty so I would think they would be fine with that arrangement.

I've only had mine for a couple of weeks and it never shuts off alone. As son as I plug it in it starts and doesn't stop until I unplug it. I'm not sure what to do because all the little pieces are up.

could be a factory defect. I have noticed that a lot of the Aldi appliances and electronics from the past 3 or 4 years are much lower quality than they used to be. I may suggest taking it back for return or exchange.
