I hope to see you live again. I was at the Ampitheatre show in SLC for Board up the House. I can't remember the name of the venue but it's been shut down for a long time. Thanks for all the great tunes and the new direction is really cool.
Not what I was expecting but in a very pleasing way, I wish it was a bit more like their older stuff but I can never blame a band for wanting to change it up, this was amazing and as everyone here is saying, beautiful as well. I didn't even know this was a thing when I was just looking to listen to them in general lol, it was an exciting surprise.
I appreciate that Genghis Tron has grown with us. However I do find the use of sounds on this album to be very consistent throughout, including the vocals. This makes a lot of the tracks not stand out on their own. There’s a lot of talent here and good use of restraint. I’m excited to see them build on this reboot.
I've waited so long for this. Definitely digging the new drums. If they play a show anywhere remotely near me I'm going. Saw em once around when Dead Mountain Mouth came out. Wanted to again for Board Up the House but I never did.
Loving this! Great to see these guys back. Spent two unforgettable weeks with these guys in Europe in 2008 w/the other line up for the 'Board up the House' EU / UK tour. So fun. Always was wondering wtf happened to these dudes. If said dudes are reading this, what up Hamilton and Michael? Nice work and welcome back! This albums really great.
Great album for sure, hard to pick the best song in it. Also, the instrumental intros like Exit Perfect Mind and Desert Stairs are really cool. However, if I should pick three songs, I'd say Pyrocene, Alone in the Heart of the Light and Great Mother.
Preorder just effing arrived! This is the record I've been waiting for. Hope the announce some your days soon. But take your time. Need to get ankle deep in the new record. Thank you Genghis, Relapse, and Kurt.

Backed a board game on kickstarter today; log out, see a row of blurbs at the bottom of the page like "Artist x on motivation"- including Danny Elfman. What the hell, I'll take a look...what's this? He just recently released an album being referred to as heavy industrial metal! Got to hear what THAT sounds like! Skip around a bit before thinking "This reminds me a bit of Genghis Tron in places...haven't thought about them in a while." A minute passes, let's search 'em up and confirm. Holy hopped-up Caligula on a cruet, they came back.
GEEZ how are they gonna return from the dead better than they've ever been?!? I booked these guys at a little DIY venue in Pittsburgh back in 2006, and it was impressive and pummeling enough then, but wow. It really is another level. Unfair.
i saw these guys sophomore year in high school back in like 2005......one of my first shows out in local OKC in a scene where bands come and go....awesome to know these guys are still around and making music to share with us.
I quit drinking 'tar-like' coffee in the morning and supplemented it for the title track off this album. Every time I listen my heart races with excitement.
And it only took what like 12 years?? Lmao. Worth the wait. This shit is mint chocolate chip, creamy and dreamy. I've already listened to this like 4 times and I just found out it was even released last week.
I remember when this was one the most influential bands in my personal music playing style. Along with Psyopus, Magrudergrind, Horse the Band, and Converge (to name a few). I felt I had a good balance of electronic meets grind, meets heart. While I would like to say this new Ghengis Tron fits that mold, it sadly does not. In my humble opinion, one could just as easily listen to the last three tracks and get all the feel of the first 21 minutes and more. I am on the other hand grateful that this has inspired me to get back in the saddle and make metal that I can relate too. So for that, thanks for the disappointing album Ghengis Tron. Withouth the juxtaposition of the pure energy of your old material, to this forgettable soup of sound. I am now realizing my duty to the people that share my opinion. I WILL make the album, and people will say. "This sounds like old Ghengis Tron." And we will rejoice!

Damn dude, I saw them on that same tour, same lineup, although with Converge headlining in Oakland.
Nicks drumming really adds a lot to this, different in all the best ways.
His drumming reminds me of Jason Gerkin the final drummer for the band Shiner. That is another cool band that you all should check out.
