It looks fine now 17:49 I can interpret things as being difficult that I've never done before easily myself. Maybe I make a big deal over nothing but I see you mentioned how just preparation can be harder than the actual job. You had fun doing it Illustrated for us.
Very nice installation. Much better than all the drilling and tapping. Plus, I followed someone else's instructions and used braided lines which is way over kill.
I did this to my Heritage this past summer and I love it,when I took everything apart I looked in the throttle body for oil and other contaminants and it was dry,so for now I’m just running with the breather filter, looks good and she runs like a charm,to answer your question, just keep it the way it is
I like the open filter look better, I did basically the same as you did. I also bought a round Harley Davidson emblem that is made to go over your original air filter cover to dress it up, but I left the oval cover off and just installed the round emblem so more cool air can get to the filter.
@@alessandrovattolo592 gracias por regalarme tu comentario, la verdad es que tengo algo de complejo en lo que se refiere a mi acento en inglés, así que muchas gracias.
i planning to do it the same way you do it sir, but it don´t know if it is a good idea that the filter is hanging from the oil lines. Did you had any problems with that issue?
Open air cleaner looks good but if you get caught in a rain storm , you'll wish you had the cover on it. You'll suck water right into the carb. And that's not good.

Great idea. Looks good.
Thanks, can’t wait to go out there and ride…but is storming here 😬
@@inthegarage.withalvaro.1344 ahh that’s to bad. Just got back from a ride was 36°. A bit chilly but needed a ride.
I like the open filter look. It looks more custom and more powerful(which it is) so show it off.
run a line down ending by the frame and zip tie it to the frame ,you don't need the filter, crank case pressure should have no restriction .
Been doing that for years.
That’s also what I did by the way. I have the same S&S filter and I’m using original cover.
Thankyou for this video tutorial! nice work! i will look into it for my roadking special m8 2017. keep the rubber down brother! safe trips...
Tu ingles lo entiendo mejor que cualquier gringo saludos desde Venezuela

The factory cover is ok in cooler weather but the air its pulling in is hot air off the fins
Did almost everything the same except I have a M8 114 and I ran hose to atmosphere, not a catch can or filter. Have no issues
Till it plugs always go up leaves oil in motor an relieves pressure 7/16 hose
Hello Alvaro,
Can you please advice how tight I should screw those breather bolts?
Hi, the book says 22-24 ft/lb.

Thank you!
hi, where did you get those breather bolts?
i planning to do it the same way you do it sir, but it don´t know if it is a good idea that the filter is hanging from the oil lines.
Did you had any problems with that issue?
My 2017 street glide there is oil leak on air cleaner, what's the problem? Appreciate for the response
you need to do what he did crank case air has oil in it .
Great video, what size of black tubing did you use ?
Same size of tubing as the ones that come from the factory.
Run some seafoam in the gas and that will help remove the carbon from the top of the piston
Looks better with the stock cover
I have the liking of stock look ....
💯

I don’t like the original covers because everyone talks about heat and with those that’s all they can really do is draw is hot air in
