I love showing this to people... they dig it and then i show them some dillenger escape plan and they recoil in horror.
Haha, too funny 😂
Hahahahaha!
I did this to my wife. Showed her this and she was liking it. Then played Panasonic Youth right after and she got the shock of her life lol
First time I ever went on a car ride with my now fiance who I've been with almost two years, this is exactly what I did.
Show someone Adventures and then show them Code Orange, realizing that they are the exact same band members sans one or two people.
Songs like this is why I couldn’t imagine my life without music
Thankyou, spot on
That's a fantastic statement and a way to put it 😊👍
I'm pretty sure this is one of the best things I've ever heard in my life.
+Cameron Whiteford check some older Depeche Mode stuff, if you like this youll love that :)
+Mac Oh right, that marginalized little-known trio from Essex. Maybe one day they'll hit it big. Oh wait... ;)
Samuel Farmer Maybe indeed ... but meanwhile do check 'em out, youll be surprised ... ;)
fuckin a man, fuckin a.
This song touches me at my core, Man. So. Damn. Good
WOW why the fuck am I just now hearing this in 2019? I hear Depeche Mode & NIN flavors mixing beautifully with a little Mike Patton inspired vocals. I absolutely love it
Welcome to the Real
Fantastic description dude.
Coincidentally Rob Sheridan who works closely with NIN visual artistry made this music video.
@@stephennicholas7095 year old comment has me listening again. Thank you
That’s what I said when my bestie shared it with me! Getting DM vibes fo’ sho’!
I adore the fact my loved one showed me this.
Greg can do no wrong. Everything he even breathes at has been gold.
Same for Joshua. I only ended up here because of his work with/as Telefon Tel Aviv and Sons of Magdalene. He's an amazing artist really, hands down one of the best I've ever heard.
thanks to patton. ;)
@@florianb.4325 Dude, YES. I totally agree. Eustis is fuckin amazing. It sucks what happened with Charles...imagine how many amazing TTA albums we were robbed of due to that.
Bc yes, Joshua Eustis is awe-inspiring...but what he and Charles created together was something so irreplaceable, and pure.
I played my daughter this and she loved it. Then I switched to Prancer halfway through and told her it was still Ice To Never. She believed me.
What is Prancer?
@@Reminiscent1990a Dillinger escape plan song, one of the vocalist's other bands before the black queen
Just wanna say this is the friendliest comment section ever, well done. Song kicks ass too
Gobble Face #Commiseration
I can't stop listening to this song. I already loved Greg but him mixing his voice with some 80's style synth is just magic.
Taking all the best from 80s synthpop, leaving all the silly part out of it. Best song ever.
This not breaking a million means I'm part of a select group that truly appreciates good music. I'm so in.
Best comment I've read all night XD Fuck yeah dude!
Man.. I dance and sing to this like no ones looking when this hits. Love this song.
Honestly didnt know when I'd find another artist as versatile as Trent Reznor, Maynard James Keenan and Chino Moreno. Refreshing hearing Greg Puciato making me love music no matter the format he presents it.
And his new solo album is amazing.
Search for "Mike Patton". :)
@@JohnDoe-gz6wg 90’s called. It wants Patton back.
Silly comment requires me to say Devin Townsend.
@@MatthewStout ok put me on where to start
This is an example of the perfect lyrics and melodies put to the proper beat. Absolute flawless song writing with addictive audio qualities.
Agreed.
I keep coming back to it.
Now I shall force all of my friends and family to listen to this and agree on how great it is. If they don't, heads will roll.
A friend of mine posted the song "Thrown into the Dark" saying he listens to it often. I never heard of The Black Queen until I seen him post that and I am so damn glad I have been introduced to this!!!
Greg is who I aspire to be.
His voice, his range, his aggression, his taste... everything
He's like a Mike Patton and Trent Reznor combined. Love him.
This has been on loop for about the last half hour or so and counting
+Andrew Dempsey that happened to me as well , just found it today.
+vman33333333333 still on loop. this and Gunship's album.
+Andrew Dempsey Dude I checked out Gunship, I dig that a lot too. Thanks!
Andrew Dempsey I'm loopin too bro
Andrew Dempsey gotta check out gunship now-
This makes me feel incredible! The fact I don't hear this every day is some kind of crime.
The most versatile singer. Wonderful.
Most songs that build a groove like this don't bother to flesh it out into a great song. They're so in love with the awesome groove that they forget they have to actually make a song out of it. This, however, is a great song!
Every day, I listen to this song in my shuffle and it never ceases to give me chills.
This track is up there with Rob Dougan, full stop.
This actually hurts, it's so good. Man, I miss the 80s.
this is maybe the best song of all time
Moodown #Commiseration - considering their living conditions while recording, it is easy to wish them greater success and audiences.
I was 15 in 1985...I'm instantly taken back to that beautiful time with this group
The first time I heard this song I knew it wouldn't be the last time.
I'm just finding this maybe two weeks ago. This is the type of music that speaks to my soul. Its on repeat. I can't get enough of it.
The guy walking with the Boombox radio is Steve from The Black Queen! I saw TBQ last weekend and it was an EPIC show! Greg jumped from a balcony into the crowd and also smashed his guitar into the amp and through the speaker.
rob sheridan is my hero
Dude this song is a WHOLE VIBE. That chorus kicks in like mdma, the bass line just groovesss
The Black Queen makes you dance with the strangers on the streets
What a tune, and his voice is amazing.
Best song of the late 80s that came out in the 2010s.
I absolutely adore this song, the chorus got me every time
Woaaa love this project!!!
Mind blowing release. One of the Best of 2016!
I really cant say enough about this album. I received my cd today and pushed by car audio system to its limit. JL subs, and infinity R ref. speakers. I've been waiting for an album like this for a long time. it's mid 80's depeche, as they say, but its much more. and its fucking tight. the bass hits, the music leaves nothing to be asked. and its fucking GREG on lyrics. so yeah.. that.
i’ve listened to this so many times over the past couple years i just can’t stop. how does it only have half a million views!?
time travelling back to the 80's
This song is such a mood.
I need more.
Still jamming out after 8 years. The Black Queen is definitely a super group. Greg Puciato's, from The Dillinger Escape Plan, vocals are perfect, and Joshua Eustis and Steven Alexander from NIN don't disappoint. Despite the unground following, they are understated. I haven't met a person yet, who hasn't heard their music and disliked it.
So 80ies and such a great Song !!!
There is something about this song that strikes a funky AND sexy chord in my soul.
I am guilty for having this on loop for at least a half hour.. mmm 80's
Wow, expected something completely different, being a fan of The Dillinger Escape Plan. This honestly sounds great! I love it! Great job guys, keep it up, I'm looking forward to hearing more.
This is addicting. Cant stop playing it. Its like im connected to this song. So damn good.
Was just listening to one of Greg's other bands, Killer Be Killed, and the comments section brought me here. WOW I'm amazed this is the same artist. So good
I listened to this album while in Japan while wandering all over Tokyo. Now I hear this song and can't wait until I travel back.
A gem.
Fantastic song.
Incredible song guys
Greg if your out there listening please don't stray off this path you have discovered something amazing dont let it go
This is one of the greatest songs ever!! I will literally die on this hill.
10000000% boss move. Greg puciato has been a huge part of noises years experience. This is absolutely 💯
Greg is the dude
Song never gets old
80s fuck yeah
Amazing track. Wish the entire album was like this.
Don't need drugs to feel music when it's this fucking good. Can't stop playing it, it's gold.
By the way, I feel so sad for so many people disliked this song. Why? Just....why? Lol
I just heard BQ for the first time the other day and already I’m like “this isn’t enough, please make more music! “ 🤗 Also it feels like I’ve been a fan for 25 years...
Rob Sheridan, oh yeah! :D
Fire to always
I love it. Love this new side of you Greg!
Watch, the one dislike is from some bitter douche who didn't find the song before 740+ did
Massively underrated song
One of the best tunes to appear in my Spotify Discovery Weekly
I tried to pretend I couldn't die for so long
(Ooh-oh) I
Catch my bleeding heart for a song
I slept in a flame because it made me feel strong
Building up my
Ice to never thaw, ice to never...
I couldn't help myself
I'd frozen all the doors
I didn't want you here, but
A heartbeat reached for yours
I thought that an "I" was so much less than a "you"
Blind devotion
Never sees the things that you do
I slept in a flame to keep me open and true
(Oh)
I couldn't help myself
I've frozen all the doors
I didn't want you here, but
A heartbeat reached for yours
I ran
So far I didn't know it was me
But now there's
Nothing holding me here and
Nowhere else that I'd rather go
Or be
I ran
So hard that it was all that I knew
But now there's
Nothing holding me here and
Nowhere else that I'd rather go
With you (Oh)
It woke me up and pulled me through
(Fear of dying woke me up and pulled me through)
It woke me up and pulled me through
(Fear of dying woke me up and pulled me through)
I ran
So far I didn't know it was me
But now there's
Nothing holding me here and
Nowhere else that I'd rather go
Or be
I ran
So hard that it was all that I knew
But now there's
Nothing holding me here and
Nowhere else that I'd rather go
With you
I ran
But now there's
Nowhere else that I'd rather be
I ran
But now there's
Nowhere else that I'd rather be
Thank you so much ❤
Can’t believe I’ve been missing out all those years! Have just rewatched old NIN show, remembered how much I loved Josh Eustis on this tour and promptly proceeded to check out all his projects... 🙌🏻🙌🏻
How am I just now finding out about this? This is gold.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?? This is amazing in every way imaginable. It has that quintessential 80's feel but isn't purely nostalgic an Puciato is superb as always.
Ice To Never - and it's versions - is the best music track I've heard in years!
One of the best songs Ive heard...could listen to it over & over!
I'm listening to this every single day. Many times in a row. Awesome stuff, can't wait for the LP :)
this sounds amazing, can't wait to hear more
*This Music is Some Kind of Magic*
love you guys cant wait.
absolutely awesome! love
Another awesome song! I just found a favorite Band here.
instant classic,
Excelente canción, me encanta!!!
Love this track so so much! Powerful sound
what an amazing song!! great job !!!
So underrated 🔥
I'm mad that I just got an ad for this and it's the first time I've ever heard it, this is beautiful
Perfection!!!
Totally digging this! I love this side of greg and he does this style of music so well.
This. Just this. I am so pumped for the full album.
reminds me of something Depeche Mode would do in their best days ... excellent damn it :D
Mac Greusaichelàmhaich With a little bit Tears For Fears & Alphaville.
I was thinking the same, it's like flashback sound from the mid 80's ...
Agreed! 😊
Japan (With David Sylvian), Ultravox ...
It sounds like the debut album of NIN
Thats what i wanted to hear from Greg for a long time. Brilliant job!
Please do another album I can't stop listening. Such beautiful pure music right from the soul.
I unabashedly love everything about this. Greg, Steve, Josh, Justin, & Rob, you guys are all brilliant.
I love this track! Such a fan of all Greg's music.
I'm in love with this song
Such an amazing song...I can't help but to feel an emotional high from this beautiful work of art. It makes me wanna jump up and start dancing every time I hear it. It's safe to say I get withdraws from not listening to it. haha I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.
This song is Amazing.
I'm sorry if other people disagree with me, I understand, but this is probably the most perfect song ever.
Love this! Fun fact: The Black Queen is one of the titles of Lillith, the first woman-turned-queen of the underworld, the goddess Hecate, or the female aspect of Coronzon. I'm guessing Coronzon in this case as their 3-fold triangle design is similar to her sigil of three triangles which also inspired the Danger Radiation symbol. I love when a band or artist knows their stuff. Major props to The Black Queen if that truly was their intention in the name/symbol.
+Dylan Irvine Oh Dang !! Yo, If You Watch Old Dillinger Escape Plan Live Videos, You'll See Greg Has Always Had That Triangle Thing Tattooed On His Left? Arm -- One Of His Arms, Anyway. Thanks For Letting Us Know What It Could Possibly Mean.
+Mitcholos Touchie It's on the underside of his left Bicep. He's had it for like...eight(?) years.
+whniwsyrsndtrck Interesting! I had some of their earlier albums however never watched any of the videos. While his tri-triangle tat isn't the same as the Coronzon sigil it could be considered a variation, I just connected the dots from this new band name and other references made through DEP songs, etc. Although It could have numerous other meanings, personally to him. Could be elemental, related to alchemy, etc. I'm willing to guess he's of a Gnostic belief or interested in Thelema, O.T.O, and the like. Another interesting tidbit is that the modern Baphomet (Just as it's Hermetic Staff phallus entwined by the two snakes which represent each Sophia & Satan dualism) revered by satanism is a hermaphroditic fusion of Lillith & Samael (The blind fallen angel poisoned by malice and nearly on par with Lucifer although sometimes said to be a greater force of evil itself) and is meant to contrast & mock the gender duality in the first Adam & Sophia, which was a "perfect" androgynous being as taught by mystic Judaism. Lillith & then Eve came about when Adam-Sophia strayed from "Gods" side & fell the first time (there were two falls of humanity) and was split apart, the Sophia aspect being scattered beyond time-space. Thus Lillith who seduced God, took it's name and formed her own kingdom with the newly fallen Samael at her side. Baphomet is merely a symbol of their union taken a physical form similar to how Hindu gods will combine and assume new forms and such.
+Dylan Irvine Wow. What an intense read. I knew/know that Greg really *is* big on reading up on subjects like that, he's made mention of how avid a reader of obscurities he is before a few times. If all of that _does_ infact have a relation to The Black Queen's lyrics then that digs a far lot deeper than I'd expected. Fuckin' a.
Who knows though? this could be, like you'd said, personal shit for him.
Good goddess, I need their full length album in my life, like, yesterday.
&&& I can only cross my fingers and hope they'd consider touring with Crosses.
Great song !!!
This song is so god damn good. I can't wait to have the whole album.
If this was released in the 80s it would be a pop classic
Awesome song, the whole album is great, actually.
oh, so perfect!
Damn, I need this album to drop NOW. I've been looping this and the dance remix for like three days straight.
i fucking love this band , they are amazing
