    This engine is a masterpiece and a version of this engine can be found in the base Z4 and in the higher end Z4 and new Toyota Supra. A few years back when BMW and Toyota decided to collaborate on the Supra, BMW sent the engine to Toyota and then engineers at Toyota took it apart and then sent a huge list of things that needed to be changed on the engine before Toyota would allow it to be used in their new Supra. That's why this and the B46/B48 engine is also one of best engines out there right now. These two engines are used in a wide variety of BMW vehicles from the Z4 to all the sedans and SUVs of BMW at the moment and they're amazing. You can identify the use of parametric engineering design on the new X1, X3 and X5 as they look so much alike that you might do a double take when you see one go by especially the newer X3 and X5 to see what actually went by. Some say that the new 2021 X1 is one of the nicest SUV designs on the market today...up there with the Mazda CX-5 with the advantage going to the BMW because of the interior. Great review guys...I love watching them so please keep them coming! My preference though is the New X3 M4.0 and for the a singe person or young couple, like yourselves (albeit empty nesters) is the X1.

Watching you guys together with the same and different takes on cars , I can now say my wife enjoy watching your videos together. Now she’s open to the idea of any X5 because of you guys. My best car of all time was 1998 Civic Hatchback (third car to purchase brand-new, previous were 87 Nova and 90 Corsica). Civic DX had no AC, wind-up windows and some premium suspension and sound-system upgrades. I put 300,000km and ended up trading with both original front and rear bumpers (no accident cause its handling ability was insane). Those memories are precious and far more valuable then the premium vehicles that I now drive. The real value is in the actual driving experience, not in the monthly lease payment.

    You two are a great team and I absolutely enjoy each segment of your reviews. It's very fresh. I've never truly given the X5 serious consideration, but I may have to put it in my sights and give it a fair chance. I would LOVE to see a review on the X5 xdrive45e. The hybrid looks like it may give compelling reasons for me to move in that direction. Their advertised range on battery alone has me paying attention. Cheers!

    One of my favorite SUV's, great driving experience however expensive packages and final price. Agree with your comments on leasing vs purchasing, the last time I did the calculation the cost difference of purchasing vs leasing/ purchasing was not significant and having the option of returning the vehicle if it is a lemon or if your needs or wants have changed is definitely a benefit. I have my one year old baby in my e92 335i right now and need to buy a suv. Will the x3 be enough space for me? My wife and I both have coupes. I want a x3 but my father in law says get x5. • @RichardinNC1
      @RichardinNC1 2 роки тому

      @@PHFilms3 X3 is more room than 335i/M340i, plenty for car seats, kids, small adults. Not quite as big as 5 series but close. X5 is wider if needing 3 in back. X5 drives like a bigger vehicle. X3 easy entry/exit, X5 step up a bit. X5 is more luxurious, more features but X3 is plenty nice for most.

    The one review you did with Brian Chow was the best review of X5. I don’t know why you guys stopped doing the reviews together or don’t get along anymore? Not criticizing the above review but what I really liked in that review was that you guys don’t have to agree with each other on everything. There were stuff which you didn’t like and he liked and vice-versa. It gives a broader perspective and diverse opinion of the car.
    On contrary, this review appears more like a family review than a car review where you guys agree with each other (or HAVE to agree with each other). Still, well done review. 👍

    I would pick the BMW because of the balance in the use of materials in the dashboard - the right amount of wood, metal, and leather. This is something that Audi used to be really good at. The dashboard of the BMW looks modern and timeless. I understand that, for whatever reason, manufacturers are now using digital gauge clusters. So, I wish BMW offered its traditional circular tach and speedo arrangement as one of the electronic configurations.

    Inherited my dad's '92 Buick Le Sabre w-3.1 litre/V6 and what an engine!. Purchased a brand new 2.7 litre/V-flat 6 Porsche Cayman in 2006 and it to has an awesome engine. Until we eventually move off of fossil fuel engines, think the "6 Cylinder", is the best thing since sliced bread, as far as finding the sweet spot. It certainly has evolved from the original, which was a little clumsy and chubby. As for the white (Ivory) interior... I love what it looks like... in the dealership showroom. Unless you are a celebrity or a drug dealer from Miami, who would ever want a, far too, White interior? Colourwise, obviously Andrea is not just a woman of Style, but also a lady with great taste. Cognac, burgundy, red, even tan/beige leather ... anything except white or black. This latest X5 has finally grown up. It has finally become quite the contender, amongst its German peers. Love X5s had 2008 just loved it loved how navigation would create detours during accidents. 2021 is perfection, love the tech and ambient lighting. Yes maintenance somewhat high but just get extended warranty and if you want get CNA warranty from dealer to provide coverage after dealer warranty expires. For those with business like me you can write off full amount of large luxury vehicle. Wish adaptive lights came standard like Lexus. Nice video 👍

Should have i gotten that options. I did get multi contour seats though.

What's up with those 4 steel braces forming a diamond shape. I never hear anyone talk about that. Does anyone ever notice that? I guess it is just my OCD, but I hate those braces.

      @@jacobbio i grant you X5s aren't cheap to fix but overall they are so well built that they tend to be quite reliable in that regard. Totally agree with Zac, after driving Cayenne base & Q7, hands down X5 engine and transmission was tuned better, it was more responsive and dynamic. In my opinion, Cayenne's interior felt little cheap and less intuitive compared to X5. M sport pkg is a must in my opinion w/air sus.

    Hi Zack & Andrea..... I am a bit confused in my decision whether to go for X% M sport or Base Cayenne. In India, th Cayenne is priced almost 35% more expensive than the X5 as its a built unit import. Confusion is because , I have to wait for 5 years to change my car as its my normal length of keeping the car because of the affordability reason. I already own 520D Luxury Line bought 5 years ago which is a gem of a car. Option, dispose off 520D and go for Cayenne, Or Buy X5 and keep my 520d as my second car. Any suggestions?
