I am 37yo. My life is a complete disaster. But back in 2002 when I got my license I bought a 1995 Milano Red EG Civic Coupe, I was ontop of the world. Spent every dollar I ever made on that D16Z6 motor. Turbo’d it, body kit, carbon fiber hood, APR wing. The very best years of my life, give anything to go back just for a weekend. Still listening to trance/techno today.
We're just older bro, I'm 39 myself. My EK was stolen pulling me out of the scene for a while back then but man from about age 17 to 22 life was good, didn't eat shit just to save for car parts 😂
I'm 32 years old and today I'm building my 1995 civic coupe red milano turbo, it's a d16z6, I live in Brazil and I'm spending around 50.000 R$ (around 10,000 dollars) just on the engine, the story never ends, just Change people, these things are eternal

2022 and I'm still in love with this. That dolly shot when he first walks to his Integra in Mel's parking lot and the music kicks in... :o chills every time.
Such a low budget movie BUT so much IMPACT, the scene starting at 19:25 got me even more hooked in the scene back in 2008ish back in high school, owned so many Hondas ever since
First saw this film around 2003 when I just got my drivers licence. Now here I am, approaching my 40s and still building cars, still street racing and still car obsessed. All because I found this movie on streetfire back in the day. Thankyou.
I was just listening to my old MP3’s from the early 00’s and elements came on. Instantly reminded me of this short vid. I had to go watch it for the nostalgia. Man I miss those days. I had a JDM ITR swap in my Honda. Lol a lot of fun back then.
To this day, the most authentic movie about that era of street racing. I'd watch this on our Gateway computer in between working on my DA Integra and playing Gran Turismo on the PS2. Those VTEC sound clips still get my adrenaline going. I can almost smell the strawberry air fresheners, burnt clutch, rubber and oil smoked exhaust, LoL!
I remember when I used to street race on the streets of L.A... Awe man the *THRILL* ... I lost my girlfriend due to my addiction to the streets... I lost the respect of my family... I lost my money... ended up in jail many times. I was never a good street racer, but my thrill for it kept me going... When I look back on those days, even I will say that I was a fool. I could have made better choices.... buy my love for the wheels on the streets, I will never stop loving it.
I grew up with this video back in the Import Tuner days, back when Hot Import Nights was still around (used to work for them) and putting my cars in shows. Good times back then in the late 90s and early 2000s where the car culture was something truly special. Glad this video is still around.
Yup!!! And the street racing in Ontario...also, early 90s Battle of the Imports...and San Gabriel was the spot for parts! Pit Crew, Pocket Rocket, and DAZZ. There was another spot on Valley that back in '89 you could buy some Mugen rims for the 1sr gen CRX...Good old Days!
Late 90s early 2000s import scene was crackin, South Bay 408 holding down for Hondas!! 360 videos definitely seen us on the map! Much love to all the import heads out there as well as performance enthusiasts!
watched this back in my old street racing days, 2003 or so. love it! usually watch it a couple times a year, back in the day when 400hp was king of the streets. lol. however it did inspire me to buy a new project car, a dc2 integra.
forreal! i think i was 13 or 14 when i discovered this gem. i downloaded it off of bearshare back then. its definitely one of the reasons i leaned towards integras. ive been a dc5 owner for 13 yrs now!
2023 and just seeing this for the 1st time. Brings me back to the late 90’s into the mid 00’s. Had a daily driven turbo’d 98 Civic and now 25 years later I’m kinda itching to find a cheap 6th Gen and build it from the ground up as a project car. Seeing this makes me want to do it even more.
That feeling you have when you leave your car, and look back at it...... Priceless... Great movie bro, right up there with F&F part 1, when it was all about the cars. gotta stay true to the culture man, great job.
Absolutely gives an insight to street racing that the F&F movies don't...small budgets...and built to usable limits...it's always great to stomp out a V8 with your 4 cylinder and then drive it home getting 30+ mpg...lol
Thanks Alex for letting me have a lasting memorial for my car :) i think I have this on VHS somewhere lol. I watch this on UA-cam every couple years though and it brings back a lot of memories. We all had a great time being a part of this film.
Looks like you had a nice Teg!! I miss mine. I've owned a few but my fav was my 95 ls sedan. It was a built lsvtec with a jdm front conversion. I got t boned and the car was totaled. My 2nd fav was my 94 rs that I was planning on converting to a type r until some stuff came up and I had to sell it. It was black with a 2000 front end, leather interior, stock engine and trans swapped from a gsr with a type r lip and spoiler by the time I sold it.
This video has been my inspiration for the past few years. Every time I feel down about my builds I watch this to get pumped because there is nothing better than just getting behind the wheel of something you created and pushing it to its limit.
Wow!! Straight from the writer and director!! Thank you for making this video and uploading it. I bought it on VHS, but can’t play it anymore. One of my fondest memories of being a 90’s kid.
I bought this dvd at Super Autobacs in Stanton when they were here for a short time. Still watch from time to time… thank you Alex Ranarivelo for making this short film and uploading it to UA-cam for the public to enjoy 🤙🏼
I got into Honda's in late 99-00, started with a CRX Si. By 2002 I swapped it and was running a Holley NOS kit for a Camaro Z28 (100shot dry). I remember seeing this movie and was like OH FUCK. I did the back up move from the line on people after seeing this and I'll confirm...it f*cks with peoples heads immediately on the street when nerves are already a factor. Such a move. Still such a great vid.
This movie makes me think that I should have snuck out more. 😂Enjoy this time more at the street it was such a great vibe to live through 💯 always seeing the good ol 4 bangers vs the v8s action
It’s 2023 and this is still one of my favorite short films. Well thought out, randomly pro BMX rider Mike Escamilla has an appearance in this short film.
Funny shit, from the MTV True Life series episode: I'm a Street Racer, "Greg" Leone is actually in this film! His infamous Right Hand Drive dark blue Integra is during the part where a dark blue Integra is Racing the Dodge Truck @ 5:53, and then after the White Civic HB looses, and Rob is talking to his girl you see him on the far right trying to peak under the hood of the Red Mustang with 2 others @ 9:38 with his Integra parked right next the Mustang in all its parked scenes. Hes also the one laughing in the blue t-shirt to the "Can he get his balls back" line @ 10:57. After That, also in the background during the arguing of the big race behind Rob.
you also see his right hand drive crx during the shot when letty is about to race the black dude in the rx7,and you see both leone's cars in True Life "I'm a street racer"
Phar2Rekliss bro i notice that too lol i met him like a year ago maybe a little more he was pulled over and in Fullerton right behind the Fullerton Airport talk to the guy he's a cool guy. Greg Leone lol i have him on Instagram he is very much in the car scene still

Nice sincere effort that captures the feeling and all the clichés that we have come to see in more modern efforts, and of course without all the cgi effects too.

One of the best movies man.. I loved this.
Whats the film called
@@regiwhitehouse629 it's called The Last Race, from 2002. Not to be confused with the 2018 movie 🤙🏼
The film school should defo do another movie which is longer. they did something great here and deserves to be big screen
Thank you, this just made my year and it's been a bad year so far.
Still watching this in 2020 🙌🏾....... This was before Fast and the Furious 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾😂😂😂
Great movie!!!!
Make a sequel!
Man I used to grow up street racing watching this short film, so sick
This brings me back.
Nice sincere effort that captures the feeling and all the clichés that we have come to see in more modern efforts, and of course without all the cgi effects too.
