Captain here. This is in Malaysia. It is an uphill road to a famous highlands area. This road became the prominent playground for petrolhead and car reviewer to test their machine. The winding corner and the uphill slate road with no speed bump provides a controlled menancing environment. Plus the weather up there is cool. +5 horsepower without the need of cold air intake.
Most enjoyable when your suspension's mechanical grip is on point. Combine with soft compound tires, excellent brakes, and responsive broad power band you're in for some hella fun.
I'd say the camera car wasn't real good, but I just realized he ACTUALLY IS, as he just cares about recording properly the EVO... otherwise, no sense at all to take that way many corners...
The follow car By right must have also been an evo the way they passed that civic as an evo owner I was like yep the camera car has to be an evo too .. so precise I was a huge Sti fan before I got my evo and since I got my 8 that car and went exactly where I wanted it to go with no fight back those cars will steal a show on any terrain but that just my personal opinion
this is a classic touge route for all car guys in malaysia (genting highlands, if you're interested). drivers with equal or more experience than that evo are not rare here

The Evos dominated for sure, just absolutely monsters, but those civics weren’t half bad, they stuck close all the way to the end, love the sound of that screaming B series in the yellow sedan
theyre probably serious tuned civics with either B series or K series, not your base model civic with standar D series engine, fartcan exhaust and no tuning
This is the good ol street racing I remember ❤️ start at point A finish at point B. Anyone can race in a straight line, it takes REAL skill to race like this!! Looking back it was stupid putting others lives at danger. But geez it was tight!! The adrenaline rush afterwards is incomparable to anything else, not drugs (it’s better than drugs), bungie jumping, rollercoasters, nothing comes close. I miss it, but I don’t miss it.
