Marcus next year I hope you’re able to do full top 10s on every position group. Heck, I’d even be willing to help you out with some of the graphics or editing if you needed to outsource some of that stuff. Id do it for free but if you’d rather not, I do think it’d be smart to eventually hire someone to outsource some of that labor in order to put out more quality content. You’re getting to that level man!
A bit of a shame that we don't get the top 10 of these positions in the usual format but I understand life can get in the way. I hope next year it's back to the usual though. Thanks for everything, Marcus!
@fullyinflatedfootballpodca2373 now I feel bad! It's more that what you do is one of a kind so if you don't do it, nobody else does it. But tbh, even in this format, it's still very very good!!
Im having a watch party with my college buddies on Thursday night as we go to college in MA and the Pats are picking 3. Will have you and some other UA-camrs on standby to see your reactions.
37:40 for this conversation on elite speed at safety on an elite safety, Devin McCourty ran a 4,41. At the end of his career was still playing at 4,50 speed. People forget just how great of an athlete he was
I was A Tykee Smith guy since his time at WVU. He is my favorite safety in this class by far. Also am glad I'm not alone on Mustapha. Wached him play for years and knew he had the skills to be a good player. Don't have him at one like you do, but I view him as top five in the position group this season for sure.
I can’t believe how divergent opinions are on this safety class. I also can’t believe that Tyler Nubin’s stock hasn’t taken a bigger hit from his testing.
Post his analysis, this safety class is disappointing tbh. Mustapha was always a minor sleeper tho. One of my favorites from the start has been Taylor-Demerson from Texas Tech. Middle of the third round sleeper. If you get him in a role where his speed isnt compromised, I do still believe Nubin is the best safety in this class.
Im a senior rn that went to a football camp this last summer at michigan and I play linebacker. Junior Colson came over after one of my reps and he was one of the smartest football players I’ve ever heard talk. He is gonna be special
Your rankings are certainly different than most i see, and i like that tbh. They usually line up with my thoughts more so thats probably why i like it. I dont know if that is a good thing for me or a bad thing for you 😂 i certainly wouldnt call myself a scout.
YES. I always loved Knight. Unproven coverage player but has shown flashes and was ALL over the place against the run. You watch UTEP against run downs and you see a bunch of JAGs and marketing majors and then you notice this pro style linebacker making plays all over the place against the run and think “Who is that?”. Oh, its Tyrice Knight!
Hey Marcus, philosophical question for you here: are Tyler Nubin and Kamari Lassiter competing for the same roster spots? I mean, I know they're technically different positions with different backgrounds, but looking at their 40 times (even though Lassiter definitely had great shuttle/3 cone, I'm not sure those matter as a zone CB), they seem to have the same constraints.
I will also say with Wilson having more of his background info. He had internal and external hype building during his prior seasons at NC State. Particularly after his fourth season, if you asked me what would happen to him in the league I would have bet on him flopping. He wasn't the best LB on the team (in my eyes) during his 4th and 5th seasons. I think he is a completely different person and player from two years ago and even last year. If his injury history doesn't come back to bite him, he'll be on an NFL roster for as long as he wants. He has matured on and off the field exponentially over the past two seasons to a point that I know he is fully committed to being great at football.
Nubin is more Talonoa Hufanga (also ran like a 4.6) to me than like a Kam Curl. Easy day 1 starter. Ppl way overrating the testing stuff. He plays faster on the field with anticipation. Easily most instinctive safety in the class. He’s not a guy u can leave on island in cover 1 but that’s fine just don’t do that with him.
Can you explain how Penn St can have a top 3 defense statistically every year and yet every core player in your opinion is “underdeveloped” or “just a freak who can’t play football”
TFG where’s the Fullback and Long Snapper analysis?
Don’t forget about the kicker’s and punters
Unironically I would actually love it if TFG started going deeper into special teams units. Especially after the changes coming this year.
Long snappers don't exist just ask EA 😂
and gunner
@@adren-a-line1473Neither do edge players then 😉

Just in time to listen to at the gym. You have the best draft content every year for sure.

Tried my best 😔

The usual format is so good. Feels like I'm scouting them in madden. Immersed.
he was probably pressed for time. the usual format may take longer plus the draft is less than a week away
These are both my most anticipated rankings.
Thank you for dropping this! Gonna help with having to work on a Sunday.
Cannot wait for your draft coverage!
Some safeties and LBs that I think are honorable mention types:
LBs:
- Marist Liufau, Notre Dame
- Darius Muasau, UCLA
- Jaylan Ford, Texas
- Ty’Ron Hopper, Missouri
- Jackson Sirmon, California
- Nathaniel Watson, Mississippi State
- Bryce Gallagher, Northwestern
- Dallas Gant, Toledo
Safeties:
- Cole Bishop, Utah
- Sione Vaki, Utah
- Beau Brade, Maryland
- Trey Taylor, Air Force
- Demani Richardson, Texas A&M

Great assessment and explanation of assessment!! trey Taylor so underrated
Tyler Nubin reminds me so much of Quentin Lake. I cannot unsee the lack differences in their tape and their athletic profile is pretty similar too.
Couple more Players to watch 👀
Evan Williams (Safety)
Oregon
Nathaniel Watson (LB)
Miss state

I really like Tykee. You introduced me to Mustapha just now, he seems very good!

Edgerrin Cooper pro comp has to be Devin White, right? Literally the same dude.
Lets goooo!!! Pump this content into my veins

how long do you spend on the non top 50-75 guys? or do you watch the same amount of every player
Great work as usual TFG! I have you taken a look at Aaron Casey out of Indiana? He surprised me a lot and definitely earned a spot in my top 10.
Didn't get to him! Maybe I'll have time this week. He's probably the first guy that got "cut" from my watchlist
Your rankings are certainly different than most i see, and i like that tbh. They usually line up with my thoughts more so thats probably why i like it. I dont know if that is a good thing for me or a bad thing for you 😂 i certainly wouldnt call myself a scout.
Appreciate for you getting this out but it’s shame it’s not done in the same way as the others. Now we have outsource a bit
In your cornerback episode, you said that you could see Kamari Lassiter transitioning to safety. Where would he rank in your safety rankings?
I go to Wake Forest with Malik Mustapha; I've only heard great things about his character. Seem like a great guy
Marcus can I ask why no Trey Taylor in your top 10 of safeties??
He's #11!!
Colson got on the field and started as a freshman for michigan, awesome player and think hes fairly safely going to work out

Jerimiah trotter jr is D'Qwell Jackson
And I thought I was high on Malik and Tykee

Checked mockdraftable and there are a surprising amount of top safeties that are slow. Safeties in general are slower than corners and wrs.
right when i wake up LFG
do you think payton wilson could bulk up and play edge? i don’t see why not with his speed and frame
30.5" arms though so probably not
I think next years draft will be a good year for linebackers, with Jay Higgins looking like a first round pick.
Welcome to the Malik Fan club. Seahawks fans have been on him for a while now due to Rob Staton

Like put him on the Texans to do what Talanoa did for DaMeco in San Francisco he’ll be a great second safety next to Pitre.
Top notch
Juan Thornhill, Justin Reid, Budda Baker and Antoine Winfield jr all ran in the 4.4s like your number 8 safeties
Colson is from Haiti not a african countrie. But great breakdown video.
Thank you for clarifying!
tykee wasnt playing at uga first because he tore his acl the first year he got here
Kalen Deloach is going to surprise a lot of people
woah tj ward was a dawg
mike barrett
No love for Kitan Oladapo, smh
Colson is from Hati and was adopted after his dad died
Well hopefully the Packers take at the very least two of these safeties.

I can't explain it but am I wrong? 😅
Letssss goooooooo
“Likes to throw his body into dudes” we stan a gay safety
Where the hell is the gunner analysis I expected..
WE WANT KICKERS😂
