Looks great! I just got a Ferragamo belt with this same belt hook thing. The only difference the hole has an elongated part. So it has the hole but also another part that’s smaller like you can slide in. I don’t know if it makes sense. Does this belt puncher have any other different shape punchers? I don’t want to send back since they don’t have the next size down and I want to wear it soon. Thanks.
That's a great question! I know exactly the type of hole you mean, and this tool does not have that shape as an option. To be honest, I have not seen any that do. I don't think the hole will look noticeably different if you DIY, but you'd have to decide if the look matters enough to you.
I have a video showing how I cut it, in case you're interested. Since it's reversible, I took the buckle off and cut it with scissors. Hope this helps!
I don’t know but someone said my ysl belt looks fake as it have 6 holes (as I added extra hole) because real belts have 5 holes and dupes have more than 5… since then I am not wearing 😅 well it was gift not my real loss but still I don’t know I don’t want to explain it to anyone about real or dupe.. but how would you tackle this situation?

Tip: also can test hole size by matching the hole puncher fitting with one of the existing holes on the belt

I think you could. The holes seem to blend in with the pattern.
