This is a great trick! I bought a pair of very expensive sandals and they are so big on me that they are not wearable. The seller refused to exchange for a different size. I was going to give them away already before I saw this video. I will definitely try this trick out!

Super tip! (Thank you.) As a hobby sewer I am thinking that one can always use bathing suit/lingerie (silicone) elastic which is stretchable and transparent that most fabric stores carry and/or you might find it even in a place like Walmart in their sewing notions most likely sold pre-packaged rather than by the yardage. (It would eliminate having to color it, is comfortable next to the skin, comes in varying widths and durable if it gets wet.)

that is a great video thank you I have skinny feet I inherited from my grandmother from the tribe of the Indians so we have this skinny long feet and I was always having trouble finding shoes for myself as a little girl and growing up this will be a great fit for me with my pretty shoes. I like those pink sandals those are adorable I am totally into bling. And if I haven't said already I love your home it looks so inviting I love red absolutely love it that is the color I actually have in my kitchen as well. Thank you for all the great videos I am a subscriber and I did hit the like button but when I come back it is not lit up like a hit the button so I'm wondering if other people are having this problem as well with UA-cam

Thanks, i have bought these really nice heeled sandals and I find it difficult to walk in them as the straps nearest to my ankle is a bit loose and I have weighted heels to carry. This will really help

Do you have any tricks I can do with my slide sandals they are not adjustable and they are to big around the top of my foot?
Sorry this is late but I have bought some thinks that you can stick inside to make them not so wide. You can google it. You could probably glue some fake fur or something inside.

What did I miss...what determines how long the strap you cut?
You just put the shoe on and then hold the elastic across it to see how long to cut it

Instead of painting white elastic with makeup, I would just buy the color of elastic that matches match my shoe color, and skip the time-consuming painting steps/drying steps. Otherwise this is an interesting hack video.
Hi, thanks for the comment. I have only seen elastic in white and black. The whole point of painting it flesh color is so that once it is on your foot, you don't see the elastic. All you see is the shoe.

I don't think they are maine coons because they are only about 12 pounds. They are rescues from an animal shelter.
i bought a pair of swade closed toe sandals and its two sizes bigger i'm 39 and its 41 its so nice,i don't know what to do...

Does the makeup rub off onto your skin?
Not that I have noticed. And you are only putting the makeup on the top part of the elastic. Not the underside.
NO - at 2:56 your instruction is to turn over elastic and paint the back with makeup too! :-(
