Great video! 100% agree! In fact I cannot stand the oran/ chypre sandals any more. For example the Extra Sandals are much more refined and are way more comfortable especially in the goatskin suede. I would add any kind of belt/shoes/bracelets etc with a kelly buckle to your list. As beautiful as they are, they are so overdone at this time thx to social media 😅🙈
I love my TPMS. I need a lightweight bag since I broke my back. And my lifestyle is very casual. The TPMs, with their many colors work perfectly (and always H facing inward).
My orans and mini E are both things i reach for in casual settings, I agree they’re not the most unique or elegant items, but they do make taking my toddler to the playground feel a bit more sophisticated!
My opinion on the Evelyne is that for travel and vacation where you really want to go hands free the Evelyne and its wide comfy strap can’t be beat. For airplane days I use my GM, for day to day travel days I like a PM or TPM. To each their own.
Thank you for another great Hermes video! I was not a fan of Evelyne for years. When I saw a mini Lindy in color orange in the website, I thought the color orange would be great in an Evelyne TPM considering the bag's price point and size. Went to Paris and went to FSH store unplanned with no leather appointment. Tried my luck and asked for mini Evelyne TPM in orange or gray color. They offered me Evelyne TPM in two shades of orange. I chose the regular orange color. What a great Paris souvenir!😊
The TPM is definitely not for everyone. It depends on your lifestyle and how convenient the bag is. I’m a mom, legging all day with kids, I just need my phone, keys and wallet and something beautiful to carry them in. 🙂
Amazing video as always! But I do love my black GHW Evelyne 33 - it's my go-to weekend bag and size 33 took me forever to hunt down from the Paris boutique. The ones readily available are TPM and PM.
@@IamGPS yes, it's a unique piece. Everyone else gravitates towards the TPM. A GM worn with the H inward is perfection. It carries the iPad and weekend essentials.
I was sucked in Oran, Oasis (healed Oran) and still love them. But of course not for events and formal occasions. I think they are so comfy for narrow fit to walk even all day. Also for grab and go, love evelyn. Easy bag, stress and hands free for daily walks, also good for my mini body size:) these rest, I am on the same boat:)
I have those loafers (the women's versions obviously) and love that no one can really tell that they're Hermes, especially at work. Wonderful video to wake up to. Also, target is currently knocking off oran sandals, soo there's that. They've become "I'm taking heels off" shoes at summer weddings, otherwise I never wear mine. But the TPM - I used it to walk my dogs for a while, and now I use my pockets. A cute little picotin is fun for errands honestly.
I recently learned that Hermès' belts are one of the only leather categories that are not handmade by their artisans --another reason to search for something a little more unique :-).
I do like the Izmir sandals, for someone who has hyperhydrosis it does help, and I prefer that I can easily remove it if needed, but I do agree that I wouldn't wear it in a dressy evening but on shopping or walking around the city its a comfortable piece.
I've been watching your videos for a while and learn so much from them. You are ever so thoughtful and gracious in your criticism. I have a quick question: Do you find the videpoches bags just as uninspired as the Evelyne? I always thought the Evelyne was more practical than stylish, and the videpoches is like a smaller version of the Evelyne. Thanks!
The H will have its comeback until the quiet luxury trend is not a trend anymore 😉. My big Evelyne (33) is one of favorite casual bags in my collection. It was my first H bag which I‘d never would change for a Herbag. I‘m really glad that this is not everyone’s cup of tea.
I have been looking at a 29 and a 33 for travel, but have never seen one in real life, even at the boutique. Would love to buy a TPM but would buy one for limited use, like to concerts, sporting events and casual events like that. I was wondering about the weight of the 33 when it is full. What do you think? I just can’t decide between the two but think I would use it a lot now that I am retired and travel almost every month!
Hi G! You are truly one of the only opinions I trust & appreciate, time and time again. If you had to pick one of the following, which one would you pick as a first blanket? I am struggling to decide between the classic Ithaque (in Denim color) vs. H Riviera (in Outremer color) or something fun like the Enigmatic (in Encre color). Thanks for another great video, you keep killing it with your content! Absolutely adore you (and Pi) :)
Great video! My take: Belt: I see what you mean but still think it can elevate an outfit when styled properly H Avalon blanket: 100% agree Loafers: Carmina is better imo Oran: YES AGREED 😂 Evelyn: gotta disagree, I don’t have it but it’s extremely useful if you like to be hands free and already have super casual style
A huge Evelyne lover here 🙋🏻♀️ I saw an orange Evelyne maybe 20 years ago and I didn’t know that the perforation was a logo. I just thought to myself what a clever concept and how different is this bag, so cool! Of course I knew about Hermès, I knew what a Birkin looked like (that I thought was ugly and for older women 😂). Then a few years later I somehow connected the H logo of the Evelyne with Hermès and thought „Ha, they DO make beautiful bags) I am obsessed with the Evelyne TPM at this point. My essentials fit in it, it’s light and my shoulder doesn’t hurt, the colors are beautiful, it really is timeless and the quality of the leather surpasses my expectations. I never babied my first Evelyne and it still looks amazing. Now and then I add different colors and this is the only bag I need. I have others, but the Evelyne TPM is the only one I need and want. 😊
I got the Evelyne TPM (in my dream specs) and I honestly hated it. I sold it months later without having worn it once. After a good friend insisted the PM is a great bag, I got the same specs in that size and I LOVE it. It’s one of my most worn pieces and I thought it would have been too big for me. Same bag, different size and it was finally perfect.
Agree with avoiding the Hermes belts. Tanner Leatherstein on his UA-cam channel dissected a belt and he revealed that it's a relatively cheap and poorly made item relative to Hermes' other leather goods. The belts are mass-produced to entice new customers who don't know any better.
I love my oran sandals for a casual day out. Not a fan of the Evelyne, even in the TPM size. It just a boring looking bag IMO. Money saved on some of these items mentioned. Great video!
I rather like the Evelyn, but I feel that it costs too much for what it is (though that is true for all luxury pieces). Also, the H annoys me. It has been described to me as 'stealth advertising' and I laughed at that and it is true! I would wear it with the H inside, which is the way Hermes intended it to be worn, apparently. Thank you for the video! Have a lovely week.
i have 3 Evelyn’s 2 PM and one in TPM. I love the TPM for casual days out and travel when I want to take 2 size bags. I have the black I sold the Barenia as I didn’t see the need for 2. Also looks cute with jeans or a sun dress. This will be controversial but honestly I don’t really see the hype over the Birkin and yes I do own one. I had 2 but got rid of one because I really wouldn’t use 2. I agree with the belt. I only have one because I got a smoking deal on one preloved in new condition. Honestly I have much cheaper belts that are far less expensive that are much better
I have a stunning buckle from the 80's (32mm circular of a horse head) and its really irritating to try and get blanks from Hermes. I need 110cm and there just aren't any ever... :( I agree on the loafers. Your are a much better choice.
After I got my horse, I started going riding 4 times a week. So the only items at Hermes I am interested in these days are the horse and rider gear. I have the grooming bag, which is my constant companion these days and holds everything from my daughter’s boots to stirrup leathers. I bought a riding shirt to try, and the quality is surprisingly poor. Even compared to much less expensive equestrian brands. So this is the item I will not recommend to fellow riders.
Totally agree on all items mentioned. Hermes has so much on offer and doesn't have to be heavy on logos. Personally I buy from Hermes mostly items which feature horses as horse is my favourite animal. I have no interest in logo, the less logo - the better.

A lot can be said about the Evelyne, but it really suits a Rodeo 🤍

I love my TPM but one is enough. Its function & simple bag. ❤️ thanks for sharing my love. 😘😘😘Sandy
May I please ask where the black pedestal vase is from that is on the table behind you?

Hi! Can you dedicate a video to constance? Which colours and leather would you recommend for a mini constance? Thanks!
I have an older video on it - ua-cam.com/video/EBXllUCHafc/v-deo.html

I must agree with your take on the Birkin. Is it a beautifully carfted bag? Sure. Is it a "must"? Absolutely not.
I think the Evelyne is usefull for dogwalking as a bag for treats and keys.

It can be quite tough finding an oversized blanket 😔
I find my oran sandals uncomfortable to wear
I feel same way about the Izmir 🙌

The Evelyne in suede has been discontinued.
That's a shame 😔
I always found the Oran sandles way too bulky, and then the chypre sandals doubled down on that ugliness. They're like the Birkenstocks of Hermes.
To be frank, I prefer Birkenstocks. At least, they're not trying to be something they are not 🫣
I’m so over the H belts and cliq bracelets. They need to be retired for awhile.
Couldn't agree more..🙌
I love my orans❤

Yes, I am 🤍
😊
*all* Hermes logos are tacky, they're *all* among the worst things you can ever buy.
