STRUCK MAGNATRAC MT1800 MOVING LOG
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 кві 2014
- I'm moving a old rotten water soaked log with my Struck Magnatrac MT1818, The log is about 18ft long, I'm moving it to make a retaining wall on my property and then back filling to level out the area. As you can see in the video, Its pouring down rain as it had been for the last three days. The MT1818 is having no traction problems in the wet slop. This is also the first real test of the new loader that I built for it.
Cinematography by my wife Sweet pea
Does it dig good
observation: Most riding mowers could push rotted landscape timbers but the opening scene was a hoot. You should try a compact utility Deere. You could literally complete 1 job and re-sell it.
Deere John. You seem to be a MagnaHater.
What size is bucket
Did you find out if it's a strong machine?
@@ferenzi7741 I have a hydro 5000 it's a f beast
Is it possible to run a 6 way Dozer blade on the loader bucket or in place of the Bucket?
+Jack O Yes. I have dozer blade attachment that i can angle left or right using the third spool. The dump of the loader will control the tilt of the blade. The blade mounts in place of the bucket. I usually use it for snow removal
I have an mt1800 , but constantly have problems with the tracks jumping off. I true them and have tried them tight and loose , any sugestions ?
I have a mt 1800 dual drive chain loader. It has a stretched chain on the outside closest to the track. Any idea how to change the chain? Do I need to disassemble the whole thing to get to it?
Loosen the chain take a link out tighten back up, assuming it's adjustable.
You'll probably need to get new tracks. However this machine was discontinued back in the 80s, so parts are no longer available. Also one of their legacy workers retired a couple years ago, so tech support is gone. It's probably #557 ag chain with the pads welded on to it. So you may have to spend a thousand dollars to make new tracks.
I build parts for these machines tracks too
What front loader is that and what front loader arm assemble is that? My mt1800 front bucket is bent and I’m looking for a better replacement.
The loader is homemade. I build it after bending the horizontal arms. It's constructed from 2x4 3/16 sq. tube. the gusset plates were the cylinder attach is 3/16 plate. I didn't use any plans other than measuring and making my own drawing and mocking things up.
I have an mt1800 crawler and constantly throwing the tracks off , do you have that problem and if so how did you fix it ?
Scott. the problem could be several things. One the track chains them selves could be too worn out. I replaced mine with new ones at one point because of that problem. They are available from Struck. The other things are the idler roller bushings could be worn out and allowing the tracks to walk off the sprockets. I'm redoing mine now for the third time. I would remove the tracks and check for worn bushings and axles on all the idlers and sprockets. Correct tension is important too, tight but mainly keeping the front sprocket aligned straight. Good luck.
Ok , thanks for the responce , i have *trued up both sprockets and actually took one side off and welded teeth back on it but havent had a chance to check it yet. Thanks again
Scott Weedin did you have a video of your sprocket repair? Thought I saw one but can’t find it anymore
TrashCanMan , no i did not have a video , i just made a template and welded onto the teeth then ground them to a point.
Hey dogstuff , i just ordered the new style tracks , grouser pads , idlers and axles , now the wait , lol . Did you get the new style tracks and if so how do you like them ? Also how hard is it to replace the idlers , looks like they are just being held on by E clips. Thanks
tough little booger
