Are Hairdryers fine to use for EVA foam modeling?

Thanks for reaching out! Hairdryers can be used on eva foam however, they don't get as hot as a heat gun. This means that it may take longer for the foam to heat up so that you can form it. Also, the heating maybe uneven, which can lead to some frustration. Whatever you use, keep in mind that EVA Foam can catch fire, so be careful. Hope this helps!

Hair dryers don't get nearly hot enough to soften EVA foam for modeling. Invest in a heat gun. Hair dryers are good for speeding up the drying time of paint and glue, but not for softening foam.
