His eyes are beautiful and luminous. This has never changed.
Lot of soul in them, some wonder, energy. Something interesting about him that’s attractive
Very expressive and beautiful eyes. 👀
Al Pacino is one of my favourite actor 🔥
I grew up with Italians /Sicilians they are just beautiful People inside and out & all about Family......I Love Al his Acting is from the heart ❤
So did I. My grandfather was from Palermo. He came here in 1900, 6 months old. I grew up in Bushwick, Brooklyn where everybody was Sicilian. Strange neighborhood. It was originally Dutch and my ancestors lived there in the 1600s. Then it became German and my grandfather's wife, my grandmother who was German was from there.
Al Pacino will always be known as one of the best actors in Hollywood❤
True he's nice to look at too
AMEN AMEN AND AMEN
True the most talented wonderful and great actor and handsome too I always had a crush on him kiss 💋
@@dianeamaral8151 😢😢
@@marianeladelallama1787 Are you sad that he's getting older? So am I...but at least we still see him as that gorgeous younger man.😍
It’s a crime these icons must grow old!!
One of the best actors ever.
When he was young , he was stunning !
Al Pacino is the master of the soliloquy. The build of energy he is able to build with a good script is a thing of beauty. He never loses his intensity, whether it is full on in your face or evidenced in minute body movements and facial shifts.
I don’t believe he has ever let down a film he has played in, and his work ethic is rock solid. He stands among the actors who I would watch a film simply because they are in it. He is never invisible in any scene, whether he is the focus or not.
I could not pick a favourite film of his because he takes roles that he knows he can find inside himself and commit to. Thank you for reminding me of just how many great films he has been a riveting part of. A serious talent to be sure.🖤🇨🇦
Scent of a Woman was my absolute favorite movie up to this date, though I occasionally debate inside of my head if the close second, Godfather, should take the first place. ~
@@ningzhang3282 It all depends on the mood I’m in on any given day…🖤🇨🇦
His monologue in The Devil's Advocate is my most favorite monologue of all time.
@@buffythehaterslayer6918 I agree, it was brilliantly written, and delivered as only Al Pacino could. He made a great Satan.🖤🇨🇦
@@buffythehaterslayer6918 💯 Best monologue ever.
Scarface will always be iconic, Only Al could have played Tony
Fuck yeah.
Classic . Thee Definition of A Classic Film 🎥
Don't hate me bout I always thought that role should have went to Andy Garcia
@@kenyarobinson8014 😂
Nice try
@@kenyarobinson8014 Garcia was in diapers when Scarface came out.
Love love love Al Pacino! Miss his old voice in his early films!
I agree heartily.
I love the voice he's had for the last 40 years. Yummy.
I’ve loved Pacino since I saw the movie Serpico.
1970s Pacino was absolutely invincible.
The man was untouchable during that decade.
The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, And Justice For All, The Panic in Needle Park, Scarecrow etc.
Al's eyes, face, and voice are entrancing ~
I still see that young man . What a GREAT actor
Only one Oscar? He deserves 20 Oscars.
True. Much less talented actors/ actresses have received Oscars.
Yeah, I agree. Maybe not 20, but certainly more than 1. How could DeNiro, Newman, McQueen, Hackman, Hoffman, etc.
only come up with 1 or 2 Oscars ?? The voters must be deaf, dumb, and blind.
Just like any other high money games, politics.
Oscars are like 70% politics and 30% talent...
I was 16 when Serpico came out, first movie I saw Al Pacino in. I was like OMG who is this gorgeous man!! ROFL!😂
He was gorgeous in it, especially with the beard 😍
My first Al Pacino movie. I fell in love immediately ❤.
Gorgeous eyes ,Brilliant Actor .
Great job on this documentary, Al will always be remembered for his phenomenal acting and will live forever from the Godfather trilogy alone .
Yes, it's a doc worthy of Al's talent, however, WTF is up with the narrator's mispronunciations of numerous famous Hollywood names ? Who the hell does NOT know how to say FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA's last name 🤭🤷🏼♀️.....and THAT's just one example. Also, why would the documentarians have allowed those names to be so butchered.
@nepenthe_gal: Starting at 52:15, the narrator also screwed up the continuity of when the bank robber initially went to prison (1964) & when they were eventually released, two years earlier...(1962)...
I'm reasonably certain that this is not how it actually happened.
@@nepenthe_gal759 He even wrongly spoke the common name Leonard....I can forgive and occasional uncommon proper last name mispronunciation but this guy talks as if English is his third language...
Greatest Actor of all Time 🧡🧡🧡 Love you Mr Al Pacino
Mmmmm
He was amazing in the Devila Advocate and nobody ever seems to notice
DEVILS advocate WAS A GREAT FILM AND DONNIE BRASCO two films dont get mentioned enough
I did🎉
VANITY...
It is his favorite Sin.
I’ve always loved The Devils Advocate!! One of my favorites!
Great iconic actor, that was my favorite of his movies
A movie I don't think gets mentioned is Dog Day Afternoon, It's such a great movie, There are funny and sad parts
I never saw that movie
It was mentioned, shortly, around 21:44.
@@dianeamaral8151you should, it’s a fantastic movie based on real events. 70’s movies are truly a masterclass of acting, no cgi no huge budgets just few actors, great script and you’ve got yourself a timeless classic.
And Serpico what a great movie
Definitely one of my favourite films
Al Pacino is a number one Italian actor in this world I absolutely love him
I agree.
Pacino is an American actor who happens to have Sicilian ancestry.
Al pacino is my favorite actor !!! He is a legend !!! ❤
He was talented and gorgeous
I absolutely love this channel. Each Biography is so well-presented. There’s also a built-in drinking game in each episode- every time the narrator mispronounces a name or place-drink! I say this in jest, of course. I am a subscriber for a reason.
Drives me nuts, "Ser-PICO" and "Cah-POLLA", "Si-seel B. DeMill",? It's annoying.
Yeah I just commented on that. Kind of bothers me when he mispronounces a name but it's no big deal since the vids are very good.
@csilva: Starting at 52:15, the narrator also screwed up the continuity of when the bank robber initially went to prison (1964) & when they were eventually released, two years earlier...(1962)...
I'm reasonably certain that this is not how it actually happened.
How could he miss the accent mark in Salome?
I've enjoyed every movie he has done especially Godfather and Serpico. I have a picture of Al Pachino and my Uncle in my hometown bar the Arlington Hotel in Port Alberni. He was filming Insomnia on Long Beach,my Uncle his driver took him for a beer and burger. He lived with Robin Williams and Al in Alaska for 3 month's, they loved the best Scotch money could buy. RIP Robin & Gary.
I’ve been an extra in some films where I stood next to some well known actors, but I would love to be an extra with Pacino. He is the best
Two of the biggest films that were controversial for the obvious reasons were "Dog Day Afternoon" and "Cruising". "Serpico" as well playing an honest cop in a sea of corruption around him in which he becomes the sacrificial lamb.
All three are films I would recommend, Great cinema
@@TihetrisWeathersby Word! Great movies all of them.
I fell in love when I first saw him, it was ‘Scarecrow’. Never got over it. Finally met a used to be nun, she was married and an educator giving a keynote, she said, there’s something about short Italian men, I knew I had a kindred spirit
Al Pacino & Johnny Depp: Any they're everyone's fav bad asses fantastic actors my favorites hands down ❤❤❤❤❤
Do not put them in the same sentence.
Depp is a dirty , shady , pos .
And overrated af
Unbelievable that this narrator doesn't know how to pronounce MOST of the names of the people he talks about. A little research might come in handy... Great piece about a fantastic actor and very interesting person.
THANK YOU! So many mispronunciations! He needs to do some research or the script writers need to supply the phonetic pronunciations. Ugh!
C'mon! Haven't you seen "Seer-pee-co?". It was reviewed by film critic Roger "Eh-bert". And Pacino won the "see-essle" B. Demille award!
I love this actor even more after viewing this biography! Thanks for the upload! Fascinating 💕
Mr. Al Pacino is one of the greatest actors ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roger EEEEbert not Ehbert
and Francis Ford Co puh la
Sorry , Just a heads up 👍
Surely, there must exist people qualified to assist the narrators of such documentaries with the correct pronunciation of names that are well-known by the public. Surely.
Apparently not! I'm English and the liberties Americans take with our language drives me nuts... There is one word which really iritates the hell out of me. The word is laboratory, they say lab-ra-tory, grrrrrrrrrrrr. Don't they go to School to be educated?😫😫 Apparently not 😂🤣😂
It is not YOUR language. It was imported by English immigrants who had the same RIGHTS to claim the language as you do. How trivial of you to complain about the pronunciation of English words in America. We no longer abide by your standards, questionable as they are. We are free agents to speak the language as we wish, or did you forget? This is an AI generated script, this is not an actual human speaking. Can't you tell the difference?
America will always be a not ready country IMO. Its sad, as they had potential but its hard to support America once you know just what a mess it really is. The Gun issue alone is more then enough to make me question America's idea that they are a first world nation. The UK will always be far better in every possible way
@@eileenhetherington3704 I beg to differ! Technically you should all be speaking Native Indian languages as these Nations were there first and since the Genocide committed upon them, they have very few rights. It's evident to me that you no longer abide by our standards or indeed any civilized standards... Yes, The British were there in the beginning but so were the French and Spanish ( meanwhile none of your tribe ) and yet you have been unable to come up with a Language of your OWN!! It is also evident to me that AMERICANS have very few standards to adhere to these days as it is so corrupt, much like our very own system but at least we can speak correctly! Having said that, I do claim our English Language which was here long before your own. Our History and language goes back CENTURIES way back to Roman times over 2,000 years ago whereas your own is only from the New World era. in your own phony words, Have a nice day 😂🤣😂
@janetwebster5099. LOL! A "not ready country" that saved your ass in WWII. Go mind your OWN problems, Great Britain has plenty. Don't speak to me about guns. My stepdaughter was killed by her drunken husband with an AR 15. She had 2 children. I was a gun safety advocate a decade before that happened. I led the Million Mom March in Oklahoma City, as did moms in cities across this country decades ago in support of gun legislation. You know nothing. 2/3 of Americans support this legislation. The greed of a few wealthy businessmen and their lobbyists are the problem. Lawmakers are bribed to support these murderers. Kindly mute yourself about subjects about which you are totally ignorant. Your country has been on a long downhill slide or haven't you noticed? Middle class folks can't afford mortgage on their homes, rents are far too high, your NHS is in a shambles, people are going hungry, retired folks are having to live in caravans, thousands are homeless or are squatters. Brexit is a disaster, and you go through prime ministers like revolving doors.
I love Al Pacino ❤ and all his films what a guy wow
I saw Serpico on the big screen at my neighborhood theater when I was a kid. I didn't see him again until The Godfather. He's amazing.
My fav actor of all time , watched everything from him
He is the best actor ever and a natural I like the way he swaggers when he walks and how he talks when he acts it's not really an act you really think it's real I was 6 years old when he was born we're getting up there but we still have a long way to go I hope
Love 💕 both Al Pacino and Robert De Niro to great actors plus Johnny Depp as well.
Absolutely❤
De Niro sucks.
100% agree 💖😘
I thought Al was electrifying on STAGE as well. I caught three shows that were memorable... "DOES A TIGER WEAR A NECK TIE?" "THE BASIC TRAINING OF PAVLO HUMMEL" and
"AMERICAN BUFFALO." He loves acting, and he's very good at it. If his characters had to raise their voice in Manhattan, you could hear them in the BRONX, BROOKLYN, QUEENS,
AND ON STATEN ISLAND. He could do Shakespeare too. A very well rounded, superb thespian. Good work, brother !
I love Al Pacino!❤
Al Pacino’s was soooo gorgeous in The Godfather 1&2! Like Diane Keaton said “ that face, gorgeous face”.
I loved everything Jamie Foxx said about Pacino. Beautiful and sincere. Glad you mentioned Insomnia- great movie.
Great actor's❤❤❤
I watched Serpico for the tenth time. What a great performance by Pacino!
I still think scarecrow is hugely underrated, Al and gene hackman are just so authentic. I love this movie, funny and sad at the same time 😂😢he is right up there with the best👏👏❤️
My favorite AL Pacino
He stands among the actors who I would watch a film simply because they are in it.
I once saw an interview with Hank Azaria who said that he based Moe the bartender's (from The Simpsons) voice on Al's character in Dog Day Afternoon and I can't stop hearing it now. I would love to hear Moe shout "Attica! Attica!"
Al Pacino is one of the greatest actors of all time. I have loved him since The Godfather. Humble man, which only makes him greater.
This was great, thankyou so much. 😍
Pacino .... A Master of His Craft, whether he agrees with that or not. To the viewing and paying audience it's the truth. He is one brilliant talented actor who was overlooked by the Academy for far too long. His performances were riveting. He was better than De Niro, better than Hoffman, better than Nicholson and just as good if not even perhaps better than Brando.
Thank you for this biographical video on a man that was and is one of the greatest talents in Cinematic History.......Mr Al Pacino.
His beautiful mother and dear grandfather would have been so proud of him had they lived long enough to have seen his enormous success in life.
AMEN!
NOBODYS BETTER THAN Nicholson SAYING THAT DO LOVE pacino TOO
A million times better than Brando .
I didn't expect there to be so many Pacino films that I've never heard of.

Ai Pacino master of actors the greatest the world has ever produced the king of stage and cinema I salute your skills you are a born star
All Picino was the best actor ever he was handsome and simply brilliant ,i never missed a movie he done ,i just loved him ,he is a phenomenon actor in every movie he had done was class
Al is a great actor other then the theater I have seen almost all of his movies and he was a great actor he learned with each one he did
“Alfredo”, as they called him
Every. Single. Time.
Ugh 😣
I love Glengarry Glenross "where did you learn your trade? Who told you you could work with men"?
I have watched Scarface over and over and always learned more on the movie.

I love Al Pacino and consider him to be a genius of an actor. Plus I grew up in the same neighborhood in the South Bronx as he did and also graduated Herman Ridder JHS 98 on Boston Road and 173rd Street. Thank you for this great presentation.
*I'm amazed how unfamiliar the Narrator is with countless names, People and Movies. Why was this not edited/corrected?*

To realize what great work was done by Oliver Stone on that film
They nailed it with that timepiece.
Dick Tracy is a great performance by Al , obviously, He Won awards 😁 😉
But imo as well 😊.

It is very irritating when you pronounce names wrong. Do your research!
@@christinegatto7426 The creator of this video went ahead and made an hour and 30 minute documentary for us and all you can do is criticize his pronunciation. Tf. Who cares let him be.
@Tommy Salami, it is disrespectful. It's one thing to mispronounce a name because you've never seen it written before and you don't know the subject. But to mispronounce THESE names! It's the same on EVERY video. It's as if he knows NOTHING about Hollywood and is reading a script. There is NO WAY he could have done any of the research himself without hearing the correct pronunciation. It actually makes him come across as arrogant. As if HE knows the PROPER pronunciation and EVERYONE ELSE is saying them incorrectly.
@@victoriacervantes8561 I’ll understand the constructive criticism and the dishonorable way the creator says these names and he needs to be corrected. The commenter above me just irritated me as the commenter basically scolded the creator over some pronunciation and so are you. This UA-cam creators hard work overshadows his pronunciation, creating over hour long documentary’s telling us the story’s of these incredible actors. Pronunciation is different for everybody in the world. Whether “wrong” or not it truly doesn’t matter when OC is getting the name out there of Al Pacino in such a documented way.
@@tommysalami586I disagree. The documentary is excellent and the mispronunciations are jarring in an otherwise well done piece. They interrupt the flow of the narrative.
Could you do one about River Phoenix please? I love your videos btw!!
The "Table" was 64. At Kate Mantellini on Wilshire. I worked there. Also...
"Sir Pico"
Gotta be the most hilarious thing Ive heard in a decade.
Great work, all except the pronunciations of names :) it was cute that you kept calling him Alfredo though. Oh, and Stand up guys was a great underappreciated movie he did
Great actor I LOVE HIM!!!
Al should play Picasso ..only he has the right eyes for it .
Al Pacino's mother was beautiful absolutely gorgeous 🌹
I have always discern a certain melancholy in his eyes that he tries to burry in his passion for acting! He is an overcomer!
Another role not talked about a lot is Ricky Roma in Glen Gary Glenn Ross. He was also brilliant comedically as Big Boy in Dick Tracy.
Thank you for interesting documentary movie
Around 1992, I went to see a play at the Aldwych Theatre in London. The play was 'The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.' Al Pacino squeezed by me at the side door. I've been dining out on that story ever since. I feel like we really made a connection but then, possibly, we didn't.
I wrote a paper on Pacina for my Theatre Appreciation course. I believe you left out Sea of Love with John Goodman and Ellen Barkin
Good documentary. Very informative, despite at least a couple of informational glitches, one being that Scarface wasn’t shot exclusively in Los Angeles, but in both Los Angeles and Miami. Also: while the term “yayo” was used for coconut, it was used by Pacino in Scarface as slang for *cocaine*. It was also terribly grating to hear the narrator consistently mispronounce certain names, such as Ebert, Serpico, and Coppola...even the name Leonard (as in Leonard Nimoy). Nonetheless, I greatly appreciate the effort, as this is the only documentary I have ever found on my most favorite actor.
By sheer coincide, Yesterday I saw again "Scarface".. Tony Montana.. Forever! . Al Pacino and Brandon are at the same level.. Meaning, they are the Best!!. Period
Al did some of the best acting you can ever see in Serpico. I am pretty sure thats as good as it gets. That movie sucks you in every time.
He still needs a Grammy
Then he would be a part of the EGOT crowd.
@@buffythehaterslayer6918 exactly
I seen in someone's comment insomnia that was good he is one of the few actors that you never get disappointed he deliver I guess I was a true fan because Bobby Deerfield was absolutely no good and I watched it from beginning to end that's when I knew I was a fan of Al Pacino's
I love actors that keep their political views out of the media
1:08:01: The game "based on" Scarface is actually a 'sequel' to the film (Scarface: The World Is Yours (2006)), and it shows what happened to Tony after he survived the mansion shootout, as he tries to get his empire back on the rise, while getting revenge on everyone that wronged him, including Alejandro Sosa. Now available on PlayStation 2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows.
I was standing by the dock in the movie Falling Down when Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall walked by. I looked afterwards but could not be seen in the shot. My best friend became a top 1st Assistant Director in Hollywood with over 50 films.
Great!
Scarface is the best then Godfather. I also liked him in The Devil's Advocate.
So interesting! Since you asked- I was cast an extra in Scorsese’s film, Silence, which was filmed in Taiwan, where I live. I am in one of the very first scenes. I have long curly dark brown hair, so I looked Portuguese. The setting was Macau in 1630ish, it was a Portuguese colony at the time.
I wore a green velvet gown, made in Rome.
I even got direction from Mr.Scorsese!
He nodded to me before shooting when he walked by. I smiled. We were told not to speak to him, but I wish I had at least said “good morning!”
I did say hi to Andrew Garfield before shooting, and couldn’t take my eyes off Adam Driver… he was so intense as he just silently stared into the distance- like a statue. I had no idea who he was, until my daughter told me he was in the HBO series, Girls, after I got back from the shoot.
He and Andrew both cross in front of me in the scene.
I was so thrilled that they didn’t cut me from the scene. It was one of the thrills of my life and I made great friends thanks to that shoot!
I later went on to do commercials, as well as a 2.5 hour play, Terrence McNally’s A Perfect Ganesh.
I had never acted before and had to learn and memorize SO many lines. We did 8 shows, and the other actors and I had to change the set after each scene!
I also was an extra in the Netflix film, Tiger Tail.
I love acting, and hope to do more!
I regularly do Zoom script readings with friends I’ve made doing those films and theater.
I am a late blooming Leo and just love doing character acting!
this guy did a Great film one after another, over and over again. truly one of the Goats
I used to secretly judge all men by Al Pacino. Ever since I saw him in The Godfather, those dark good looks, those deep dark brown black eyes and his charisma, whooaa!
Computer generated voices really take away from everything for what would be a nice tribute to Pacino's career.
