- I list the best upgrades I've added to my 2006 Toyota Sequoia 1st Gen to make it more modern and updated. These mods are budget friendly and really make the old first gens look a lot better. In the video, I discuss upgrades for both the interior and exterior of the car. Knowing how to upgrade your Toyota Sequoia at home can save you time and money.

1st gen Tundra owner here, thanks for uploading these ideas. When my window trim started peeling and I saw there was chrome under the peeling black plastic I just used an exacto knife and carefully removed the plastic. Now it matches my other chrome and looks pretty cool if you ask me, plus it was free. It was like finding a hidden gem. 🤙
I have a 2001 sequoia and I didn’t know where to start fixing things and I’m happy I found your UA-cam channel thanks man 🫡🫡
Great video, thank for posting. That window trim kit you offer looks really good!
The headlight video really helped and a video just like it of stereo systems would be awesome!!
Where did you get those running boards?
I don't think that those headlights will fit the 01-04?
What about the top 2 rubber drip moldings that dry rots and cracks. Hard to find replacements and very expensive!
180k and mine drives great! frame is getting very soft around the middle of the truck though.
I have one.
And I was thinking about putting a long travel suspension kit on it. What would your thoughts be?
If you’re talking about a true long travel kit, I personally would say you might get let down. The truck is heavy, slow, and has a relatively long wheelbase. While the long wheelbase would lend itself for stability at higher speeds, the weight and lack of power would likely make it hard to appreciate Baja type driving (especially considering the price of true long travel setups).
Removing the running boards makes look less like a van too
I have an 04 2WD. Had it for about 10 years. I need to do the timing belt before it goes boom (every 100K). I'll do the water pump while in there.
Did the timing on mine @165k some people don’t do it till well after that. The oem timing system in them is pretty solid. But it definitely doesn’t hurt following the recommended service intervals.
My dad's 01 sequoia's timing belt went boom at 250k miles not too long ago. Surprised it held up for that long
timing belt is fairly easy on these.
@@brianjugoswas the engine damaged?
No options for tail lights huh?
Very nice Video!
Will your window trim work on a first gen Tundra? Access Cab?
No, but we are working on producing a Tundra kit.
Where did u get your running boards?
I can't stand harsh cold LED lights, maybe I'll find some warm tone LEDs instead
Does your window trim kit apply for the sequoia rear window as well?
I just painted it with some rubber-ish paint from Home Depo
